3:27 The moment Eric realises that his gestures have another meaning compared to what he is talking about and realises the sinful error of his ways.
Don't forget 4:56 gotta work the shaft
Hi
LOL and then it just got weird the rest of the way
If i close my eyes, you are Ray Romano.
Love the advice though :)
*DEBORAH!*
Leigh Shaw stooooop. 😂👌😂👌😂👌
Bahahaha... now I can't un-hear it!
I hear it too😂
I was thinking Kermit.
I remember years ago reading things like "the old men stroked their beards" and wondered why anyone would write that. I eventually discovered that when you have a grown-out beard, you will just touch it in various ways without even consciously thinking about it. Odd.
Thanks for the advice! Also loving the new intro! 🙌🏽💯🔥🔥🔥
I don't touch my beard 720 times a day. I never let go!
Thanks for sharing about plucking! I have that habit too. Glad to know I’m not the only one!
I think you got it all right. I recently shaved my 3 month beard because of virtually all the habits you just named. going to start from scratch and hopefully not touch it this time around. Just letting it grow is harder than I thought, I'm always trying to tweak it. And lastly getting the neck line has always been tricky for me.
Thanks for the tips!
I have a bad habit of biting my mustache hairs when they get in my mouth, I really need to stop that or I’ll never have an awesome mustache like @ericbandholz
Great video Eric, good advise.
Hey Eric, this is off topic but i'm curious what product you use in your hair, and also at what stage should I start using the beard cream I heard you mention in a previous vid. Thanks in advance. -Keith
I have a plucking problem a habit I am going to STOP! Great tip on using a comb 👍
Keep up the good work:)
Dry skin and winter kills mine .
Using more balms and scarfs during really cold weather helps alot for me.
Hey Eric, do you have some god advise on how to tame a curly beard 🧔🏻
Im getting my order of tree ranger oil today im excited to try it out!
Very informative Thanks
Big shoutput to Eric and Beardbrand for making these videos, used to think i had a patchy beard because while i was in the military longest i went without shaving was 2 weeks. Grew a yeard in 17', realized my beard isnt patchy at all. Recently had a freak accident with a dryer and chopped my Yeard off in its prime. Lol Now starting from fresh!
Definitely the plucking, whenever i get nervous i start plucking and when a hair falls out i get anxious and start plucking some more... Gonna try to keep my hands under control...
Thanks for the great video!
Ya, think about grabbing a stress ball, fidget spinner, top, or something to occupy your hands. It's a tough habit to break, but you can make incremental improvements.
He gonna regret 3:26
Oh boy...

Man, you gotta watch more of my videos. Like this one: czcams.com/video/HteWRlLxszQ/video.htmlm15s
There are a lot of memes on this video.
Nah that was deliberate
instant regret. You can see it in his face
Great video Eric I know I'm guilty of a lot of these things
If i shave my beard, i wont have a beard??? MINDBLOOOWN
Great info!!
Awesome video man. I follow all ur videos and i, personally like your beard v. Much.
Love the new intro!
Sweet! New year, new intro!

CHEERS TO YOU FEARLESS LEADERS GREAT VIDEO THANKS.
GREAT INFORMATION AND VIDEO
MOTIVATION GENERATION
I have a question for you. I love beards but every time I grow one I get these drastic waves from sleeping on the beard and it's so hard to get out it's almost impossible. Any suggestions?
Just found your videos today. Gonna use some of your advice's. My beard is mostly gray and scraggly. Never had advise how to take care of my beard. I think using the Adams apple two finger thing will help. Little I did with it today, my wife even noticed! She likes it! Thanks!
Been with Beardbrand since early 2016, I remember the faded color thumbnails, the "kickass" intros, when it used to just be Jeff or Eric sitting in a room and talking about beards. Not only are the graphics getting better and better, but the awareness for beards in general has been amazing to see, and I truly believe a lot of that comes from Beardbrand. You've always been not just a company but a community as well. Beardbrand is what got me into pogonology and started my love for beards and bearded culture. I love all the new routes you're taking, love love LOVE the graphics, I cannot wait until I'm old enough to grow me a man mane myself! But until then I'll keep it up learning with y'all and trying to spread the love and awareness for beards.
And to #3, I tell this to people all the time!!! They'll be scratching their beard and say it's coarse and itchy and the first thing I ask is "Are you using hair shampoo on your beard?" I've only had one guy tell me that he actually uses beard wash. D: Of course, most men won't take beard advice from a 15 yo, but I know the facts okay?! 😛
Also 3:27 I'm literally dying. 😂😂😂 The moment he did it he realized what he did and just paused. Best moment of a Beardbrand video EVER. 🤣
Hey man, this was an awesome comment to read!
I don't know if you've caught me saying this before but I actually used to be a die hard Beardbrand fan myself before I joined the team. It's been so cool seeing how the videos (and the products) have evolved!
It's dudes like you that make everything we do worth it! And hey, give yourself some time and you'll be rocking the "man mane" in no time!
Thanks so much for the awesome words! Keep on growing, my friend!
- Jack
TheBeardedGent man thank you so much for this comment. You are correct that we are trying to build something much more than a personal CZcams channel. I think the majority of viewers of these videos don't see what an awesome community we have and the people we've helped.
There's so much left to do that I only see us investing more into the channel and stepping up the game. Y'all deserve it after all.
Thanks for your support and keep on growing!
Please STFU
I’m about 3 weeks shy of 90 days. I screwed up when I decided to grow it out by not growing out from a clean shave as I was already sporting a corporate beard. I’ve since learned that I wasn’t trimming under my neck evenly on both sides so the left side is like a half an inch longer than the right. It’s driving me nuts but I’m going to go in and get it shaped after 90 days! I can’t wait!
Thanks for the great tips! I just recently shaved my face again on January 1st to start my 2018 yeard challenge, and I know these will greatly help me. Especially the plucking one, my hair is kinda sparse as is so I'll need to so everything to keep that density.
Good luck with your yeard man! It's good to have a set start date to help with progress.
I get a lot of breakage on the corners under my chin, they’re extremely coarse no matter how much oil I use. I wash with a beard shampoo once a week, I don’t understand why it’s just under my chin that’s so dry and keeps breaking. I also have pili multigemini, maybe that’s the issue. Any help?
I surely overcome my hair plucking habit.
But till then enjoy to be a Beard Man &
Keep On Growing ✌️😎
Like the new intro!
I’m new to this! I am wondering! Do i need to put beardoil in the mustache too? I am 13 weeks and 2 days in!
Michael Wärn yes, beard oil is designed for all parts of your facial hair, moustache included, it's great for a healthy beard, moustache, and skin underneath. Remember to be patient, be awesome, and keep growing.
Love these videos
Glad you enjoy them.
I’ve felt the difference between using hair shampoos and conditioners and ones specifically for beards. For me the difference was slight, but it definitely felt nicer on my skin to use products that were specific for beards. Not that I’d buy into beard brand since there are cheaper products elsewhere, but taking care of my hair with the tips these guys give to carefully clean and style has helped me keep my first beard healthy and organized.
My dog bites at my beard. Sometimes it gets a good hold on it. 😂
I'll be at 4 months next week. Haven't trimmed or shaved anything but the 'stache and 1/2 inch under the arms of my glasses. No split ends or fall outs yet due to diet and good habits. I haven't heard the tip on blow drying until your video. Thanks!
As my beard gets longer I've noticed I'm getting dry skin on my chin. Flames come out of no where. Just ordered BB beard wash , softener and balm. Hope it does the trick. Love the vids.
Now that my beard is 4 months, it's kinda starting to grow into a French Fork, mainly in my chin area is there anyway to stop that or just grow with what you got??
Trippy Atheist try using some balm to shape it. Mine is at about 6 months and I have a slight French fork. When I use balm to shape it you can't tell at all. Also a brush helps me a lot.
12345zim Thanks man. I'll look into that. Beard on. 👍👍
Trippy Atheist god bless your beard man ;-)
ألشمس yeah you too
Trippy Atheist I wish I had a god beard so god can blees it
how do I get my beard to stop curling in certain spots?
I laughed out loud at your look of instant regret when you were talking about wash/conditioner manufacturers using silicones... lol. You guys have great videos though. I've had facial hair for several years but only just now tried growing out my beard. I'm 3 months in and your videos have been a lot of help.
good advice👍
Lowest heat setting on medium speed for blow dryer. Get it to shape and done.
good video man
What’s your recommendation on Susan or steam room? Is that considered excess Heat?
i dont trim my beard or my neck, i only clean hairs outside the beard line in the hi cheek area, my beard is 2 years old and is down below the naval
Be patient and give it time is like the best thing i can recommend for starters. I'm 19 so still quite young and let it grow out for 60 days. The difference between day 30 and day 50 was actually greater than day 1 and day 30. It looked terrible btw so i shaved it off but I saw some improvement and will certainly try to let it grow out again. 👍
can i use my beardbrand brush on my hair?
Hey Eric, I have enjoyed watching beardbrand grow and the content you and the team has came out with. I was wondering if you could do an in depth review on your higher tier products and why they are superior to other brands and blends. I have a hard time spending more than about 15 bucks for one oz of beard oil and would like to be convinced other wise!
+Mr. Kilkenny the reality is the price difference between $25 and $15 is pretty small for a product that will last you three months. Our fragrances are world class and base formulas are light weight and serve the function. Our customer service is unbeatable and we'll forever swap out products at no cost until you are 100% happy. In addition to that our team will give personalized style advice if that's what you want. It's those additional things that separate Beardbrand as a company. The product alternatives may be somewhat similar, but the experiences are worlds apart. -Eric
I'm new to having a beard, I was using normal shampoo, but it's actually the skin on my lips that have been bothering me.
Awesome video bud, beardbrand products are the best on the market, thanks Eric
Thanks for your business and your support man! It means the world. Keep on growing!
Cool intro guys
I was going to say you forgot razors, but it was the first thing you said!
I did shave the neck, can i grow it back or should i start all over again?
Wives are the number one beard killer!
Luckily my wife likes mine.
only for beta males
I'd keep the beard and lose the wife. It's not about the beard, per se; it's about the freedom of self-expression.
Hey Eric! Great job on the video. Been growing out my beard for 2 months..looking to buy your products from Singapore..but always out of stock? Help :) Nipun
We just got a bunch of Utility Balms back in and our Styling Balm will be back in by the end of the month. Always to have customers way over in Singapore. That's a place that I've wanted to visit one day.
That's amazing..Singapore is a wonderful city..do come if u get the chance. Looking forward to get some of your products! Cheers :)
#3 was spot on
Not taking care of it addressing dandruff having a beard myself and of course looking at others what bugs me most is dandruff.
Good video I think one thing you forgot that is pretty important is Using too much beard products. People need to find a good balance between keeping it clean and using beard products and letting the natural oils from your face all work together. I’ve seen too many guys lather up too many creams and oils on their face.
How to have a mustache like you man, the trimming procedure
I constantly pull out mine. You say about split ends. Mine seems to be 80% split ends. Also why is the lighter hair under my mouth so dry and horrible feeling??
Awesome
I don't use hair the cheap 2 n 1 shampoo on my beard. Sometimes I use body wash, I've used bar soap on occasion when left with no choice. Still got a ton of volume as well as length. I don't trim, shave, apply oil, use special product. I constantly sweat in it, get grease and dirt... Sometime blood in it as well as ketchup and BBQ sauce.. I wash it everytime I wash my face... I comb or brush it once in the morning. No beard problems here.
got your rambo stripes yes? lol
My rule for beard products is if it has anything in the ingredients that i cant pronounce or that isn't a natural additive I don't use. Pretty easy to find oil and balm that is 100% natural.
2. Good point, I should look into that.
3. Why would you even want something that hot near your face? A simple mistake is easily made. But I may need to look into something as you mentioned.
4. Plucking is indeed a bad habit, I also have a serious problem with that
My main problem with my beard is that it is super curly how do I fix this I mean I love my beard
I was thinking to bleach and change the color of my beard. It is bad for my beard??
My beard is grey to white. What is the best beard color product that I can use? I've been using Clairol "Cinnamon" on my hair which used to be my natural color. I've tried "Just for men", but haven't been happy with the results.
Grecian Formula is another option for you if you haven't tried it yet.
- Jack
Been a while since I watched. I'm back
I have a patchy beard now, do to chemo treatment I have been on for the last 4 month. I can of got back to my night & morning routine and it only been a month, but I can progress. So I say if any information you can give will be great. BREAD ON.
Rickie I'm praying for you in the mighty name of JESUS!!!
Always like these kinda vids
Woo! Glad you enjoy it! Always appreciate your comments man (even when you're giving me shit).
Eric Bandholz lol ;)
Ohh seems great!didn't miss any thing !
My plane to 2018 is having half yeard beard!
As a Beardbrand subscriber, you are already ahead of the pack when it comes to beard care!
Eric Bandholz soo happy to hear this from You Mr Eric!
I have my first beard and the hair grows in different directions I don't know how to fix it.
I'm 20 now, I've had a very full beard since 14 years old.
I have been pulling my beard hairs out for over a year now, from anxiety etc. I can't stop myself.
I have bald spots now that I hope grow back in. I look at pictures just from weeks ago when I thought it was bad and in all honesty it was as good if not better than Eric's.
I hope and pray to God I have not damaged the follicles. I'm very disappointed in myself. It started because it was itcchy and there was like one hair that felt bad.
Spit end etc. I know appearance doesn't exactly matter.
But I've been through so much stuff stress etc it's killing me.
To anyone who read this stop pulling your beard hairs out.
I rub a spot on the right side bald, and I occasionally pull some of the hairs out too. If you have bald spots, you can use a derma roller and minoxidil. It helps.
I use baby shampoo in my beard. It works and it's cheap. I have a great healthy beard
VERY Cool Big Thick Beard Brett!!!! I wish I could grow a beard like that!!!
Anyone else notice the visual distortions to the brick wall above the shoulder while moving? What causes that?
That might be due to the aperture setting we used on the camera for this one.
- Jack
Hello Eric, Just wondering is it ok to wash beard every 2 days?
+THE MF MAN sure man. Our washes were formulated to be used daily if need be. I can't speak for all the other products on the market though. -Eric
Shampoo and condition are fine...they do the same thing to your beard hair that they do to your head hair...not to mention that shampoo is plenty mild for the skin under your beard. The only reason not using shampoo and condition is #2 on this list is because they want to sell you a costly alternative.
I use baby shampoo on my beard its not harsh on it at all makes it feel nice and soft i have pretty coarse facial hair so it surprised me.
Exsesive oil right?
What did men use before beard care products?
I've been growing my beard now for about 17 months. I play Santa Claus for two churchs and a daycare. I'm 61 years old and I've noticed my beard seems to be slowing down it's growth. I'm on a number different medications for bloodpresure, cholesterol, and heart. Do you have any tips for faster, healthier beard growth?
Very good advice. I'm just finishing up a video reviewing some Beardbrand products including wash and moisturizer. I love them. I'll have it out this weekend.
Since I work in a cold environment is it bad for the beard if I'm in cold for long periods of time?
No unless it's cold enough to freeze it and crack lol
Plucking is my worst habit. I'll feel a stray hair and pull it out, then the next one over will be stray and I'll pull that. Then more hairs will feel out of place, and I'll keep going until I realise I now have a patchy part and it looks stupid until it all grows back, but it takes longer for a plucked patch to grow than a trimmed patch. One day I'll break the habit.
Damn, that's a slick new intro! But I hope it doesn't mean we'll never see the Malcolm Kipe one again. D:
+megagene all our music is by the same artist, but we went with a different song. That being said, we've retired the old intro so you'll need to watch old videos to relive it. -Eric
Eric’s best beard imo is this one ☝️
I definitely have a problem with plucking at my beard. I be stroking my beard and I start feeling knots and I got the habit to keep pulling at my hairs.
Do that in private to truly enjoy it. Picking through your beard is quite repulsive in any public setting. BAD!
@@johnsherman6718 I don't need to pick at my beard anymore cause I took it off.. couldn't take it no more 😂
@@Mello_Man_Ace Good for you.👍🏻
Damn it! I chanced over a Greg Berzinsky video and now I'm entangled into the narcissistic hipster world of hair product and #0 fades. Apparently I'm blessed to possess a full, thick beard and can forgo said product since chainsaw exhaust and volcanic fog imbues it with a manly sheen.
I don't understand the conditioner thing. Hair conditioner is perfectly adequate, and probably recommended, for your beard. Though I should mention that I use a silicon and parabin free argan oil conditioner.
Also: using plastic combs is bad (for your head hair and beard), I didn't believe it before, but my beard felt so much dryer before I ditched that shit.
I got nerve issues I'm thinking I can't hardly keep from picking at it
Is it okay to use dryer every time after shower thanks
Yes it is okay.
- Jack
Beard and hair on point Eric! What length is the hair on your chin? Mine is currently 3 inches but want to change it up and go a bit shorter. I tried the long moustache in the past but it got in the way of eating! Speaking of eating, can anyone on here who has a beard still eat ice cream?
I'd say my chin hair is about 1 inch of length. I eat ice cream with a spoon and a bowl. I've given up the idea of licking a cone.
Can you over comb or brush
I don't cut or shave my beard.. nor do I pluck at it.. I use only beard shampoo and conditioner.. rarely use my beard straightener and don't blow dry it at all.. I take 5000 mg of biotin a day as well.. my beard is healthy and thick.. been growing it for about 6 months plus.. and at almost 47 years old, this is the first time I've ever grown a beard such as this.. hated hair growth on my neck because of the itching so I always looked Amish but I decided to get over it.. now it looks awesome and I'm always getting compliments on it.. BEARD NATION!
Picking at your hair and pulling it out is called Trichotillomania. I was used to know someone that had Trichotillomania. He would end up with big bald spots on the back of his head, not so much his beard though.
my dad used hair conditioner his whole life. his beard just like mine was magnificent.
How about Dr. Bronners magic soap
Close your eyes and pretend it’s Kermit giving you beard tips.
