You didn’t start with enough hair on your upper lip to get this mustache. What made Selleck’s mustache different and better is that he did not trim it to the top line of the upper lip. He trimmed it to the bottom line of the upper lip, where it meets the bottom lip. A lot of people miss that and end up with a mustache that just isn’t the same shape.
There's a retired mma fighter named Don Frye that has one of the best chevron mustaches on the planet
Frye is like Selleck and old fashioned American man of English heritage. They seem to have heavy facial hair.
I heard his mustache alone was reason enough to be inducted in the ufc's hall of fame.
Just googled
That’s a hot mustache 🥰
Looked him up and Holy shit. He’s like a cartoon character. Very mighty stach
Yepper. Impressive!
I have had a chevron since I became a father in 2016. It's been an incredible journey in all facets of my life.
That's a great story buddy, made my day.
Bro.. Had my little girl last April. Had one "mustache" for one November when I was deployed. Had the baby girl and let it grow to get my dad cred up.
In my opinion, Daniel Day Lewis in There Will Be Blood has the best chevron mustache on all time, possibly the best mustache of all time in general. That’s what I always try to model mine after
DDL brought me here too
agreed
Absolutely agree. His moustache was elegant and rugged at the same time.
Once he started making a lot of money in oil, he shaved the rest of the scruff off and tailored the perfect mustache. Looked very elegant.
I think you need to grow it out more.
LOL, like 2 months!
Like, depending on his growth, another 6 months for the fullness, and he also needs to actually trim the corners evenly.
Man.. I'm so jealous, this man can rock ANY style and it'll fit him.
bigger splash!
Literally was gonna say the same thing
It's called he can grow a full beard unlike me which I'm 41 and can't hardly grow any facial hair I am a blond guy
@@damonmiller8118 the blonde beard struggles are real out here man
@@jedivanrooyen9614 I know that's right I only get hair on my chin and lip nothing on the sides
Nothing like Tom Selleck's to be honest
Absolutely
Or archer
Yes mines a tad shorter but it close.
Nothing except, Sam Elliott's.
its not, but he could get it if he wanted to, he just needed to grow it out for a few more days lol, be this guy CAN get it
🤣 I just tried to Google "Tom Selleck shaved" and my phone immediately went offline 😳😳😳 True story 🤣🤣🤣
just watch friends lol
When he came back on Friends without it he was looking so weird
Need more stache videos like this!
You have to let your mustache grow more than that. I mean GROW. From the top down. That's how you achieve the Tom Selleck look.
This is an awesome style, I’ve done it myself a couple times this spring and last year, but my beard always makes a comeback...this video made me want to 🪒 shave my beard again. The mullet and mustache are back, totally awesome!
Right on, Carlos.
Great look Carlos!!! 👍
Tom’s mustache covers his upper lip.
Yes mine was just a tad to short.
Looks so cool 🔥
Good job sir.
Looks Great!
Still needed about another month or so before making that attempt
Carlos looks more like Freddie Mercury than Tom Selleck to be honest, except the hair length is closer to Tom's
Freddie Mercury are u having a laugh
faith Davis i agree with him
@@faithdavis4453 Everytime I see a chevron mustache, I think about Freddie Mercury
Yes he does look like Freddie Mercury
Hey man, what is this wonderful watch on your hand? Really nice one!
It makes me so uncomfortable looking at the hair growing over the tattoos on his neck but so satisfying when he shaves it off
New this is the type of content I wanna see more of 👍
Nailed properly
Guys, I feel like you should make a video about sideburns' length and styles. For example, I'd never keep my sideburn at the same length of Carlos' one in this video.
Carlos! Tengo 25 años y no me sale toda la barba . ¿Que me recomiendas hacer para que me crezca todo ? Saludos 🇵🇾
That looks unbelievably good !!!! You rock a mustache..
That Razor is frickin awesome!
I love your slight Yorkshire accent bro
I love this guy, he’s always laughing at his own jokes haha
I would’ve grown it out more and then focused on a scissors and comb approach to form the ultimate Chevron. Young Don Frye had the best one of all time in America in my opinion.
I would have to look it up to be sure but I think Kurt Russel (Tombstone) was his actual mustache and it was really nice.
Great video and awesome facial hair. The shave could have been a lot smoother lol, go WITH the grain
Carlos does your tash need and agent? I’m willing to work for decent rate. I don’t work with beards though they’re a nightmare to work for.
What type of watch do you wear ?
Perfect
Can u please tell me what kind of watch you are wearing??
Where did you get the trimmer?
Good Job mr.costa !
70's Chevron Mustache is one of my most favorite styles as you can see in my profile photo !
as a guy with years of shaving practice I can tell you that for better result and not getting irritated for line up , you better remove the safety bar from your razor and then line up the upside of your mustache !
I sometimes have a pencil mustache, kinda like Errol Flynn's and since it requires a lot of shaping i just remove the blade from the razor after I shave and use just the blade
@@trout6629 WoW I never saw something like that before in my life !
@@mr-sam-jax You can make a mess at first if you're not careful since its just the bare razor but i find it a lot easier to shape up like that
@@trout6629 that looks cool , but that looks dangerous on the other side too ! because the blade itself is very unstable and sharp also ! I guess it's Risky !
Thanks man appreciate you feedback and support.
Very good
Carlos P.I. ! Bonus points for shaving with a safety razor. All the points if you decide to go with a straight razor next time =)
Thanks. I've shaky hands.
Carlos that's a dope look! Next thing u should do is audition for a Mob Boss role!!
This guy has amazing hair
You reminded me of the actor Tom Skerrit more than you did Tom sellick
we just needed to see the mustache part
Trimming the very corners of the mustache are the scariest moments for me. Trying not to make the ends to round. You make it look easy.
And you don’t want the Hitler
You went for a Selleck, came out with a Mercury, not bad, just not the same ;)
Very cool Carlos! Next stop the Ferrari showroom!
The thing with badass moustache is bigger/wider/fuller it is, better it is. If you'd let it grow and cover your lip, it would look a lot better. I mean, look at Wyatt Earp when he sported his massive cowbow Mo, maybe it was bit extreme by today's standards but you can't deny the power it commands.
DAMNNNN Mr. Costa again shaved The Beard honestly I always look away when You do that I think My BEARD cries a little everytime like seeing a Friend saying goodbye Lol
Once again Sir. You nailed the look You were going for on here on Your video.
Thank You, You a very much appreciated for taking time out to make these videos always brings and smile and a joy to My Beard!
Stay safe and most of all healthy thank You again!
✌

What electric trimmer is that?
That mustache, that accent, that slickback...Lalo from Better Call Saul, are you??? 🤣🤣
I saw a clip on CZcams back a few weeks ago of tom Selleck doing 2 different ads about 2 different shows one was about the military and the other one was about blue bloods. He shaved half of his mustache he looks a lot better with a mustache.
0:45 "See fuckin pull it off" 😄
The mustache looks cool!
I actually managed to pull it of.
The full length.
The „waterfall effect“
Every time I see myself in the mirror I wish I had that red Ferrari 308 GTS Quattrovalvole
This is real yag!
Still hard to see Carlos shaving off his beard 💔
I always wish I had a thicker beard but this level of thickness kind of seems like a nightmare. Jealous of the stache though.
I think it's easy to forget how classic a good mustache can look
I think it also depends on the person. Working the oil fields certain times I could not have my Van Dyke beer that I have, had to shave it to a mustache. Didn't matter if I had handlebars no handlebars and I looked Goofy with just a mustache unfortunately. You have to wear a respirator sometimes in the oil fields
Mustache looks good on you . U should always have a mustache either with a beard or without . Thank you for all your Great videos . 👍🏼
Looks fresh af man.
Can you do Tony Starks circle beard from iron man!?
Looks good.
Thanks
My man looks like gangster Pedro Pascal
Tom's sellecks stach is roughly 4 months of growth. This guy was maybe 1 or 2 months
Think Two angular rectangles slightly joined in the center
My father looked like tom selleck and so had the same mustache in the 80s n 90s. I think I'm gonna go for the same look.
Magnum PI baby! Here I come.😂
is all the nicks on your neck because the skin might be a little dry? because it looked like you got a lot of it on the neck in contrast to the face.
Satisfying
Hi, I have a question. I know I previously mentioned about my seborrhea in the moustache and chin area. I got a beard oil that immediately irritated my skin. My guess would he the fragerance, but I suppose they all have that. Are there oils made for people with skin conditions such as myself? And the other thing I’d like to ask is how long would one typically have the oil on them before having to wash it off? Whole day till before bed?
Thanks.
Use olive oil/coconut oil.
@@TheUnkBoogie thx for the recommendation. do I leave it on or rinse it after like 30 seconds to a minute, for coconut oil? It did feel a bit irritating leaving it on.
I don't know if Carlos is being funny or serious- I can't tell. After a month or two that will be a great mustache!!
Tom Sellect mustache is unique... Nonetheless it suits you so good... Ofcourse you need to let it grow a little bit more and it would be one hell of a mustache...
Great result Carlos, now don't try and sell me a reverse mortgage! ;)
I'm pure mustache lover..
You needed a thicker lather and a shaving brush a portuguese company called Semogue makes some great ones, also what blades did you use?
Love Semogue. I have a 610, 820, and 830. He probably needs a milder razor if he is going to press it that hard into his face or learn better technique. I am learning that I like more aggressive blade feel and feedback while using extremely light pressure.
@@6.5mm_is_the_best_mm I like something in between
@@Atomic2998 I guess you could say I'm similar as I like mid settings on adjustables and something like a Muhle Rocca for non adjustable. It is in between an R41(really aggressive) and R89(mid aggression) I crank up the adjustables on high to get the problem areas after the third pass. Aggressive setting with a less sharp blade like an Astra green box is nice too.
@@6.5mm_is_the_best_mm Try the Parker Semi Slant
Safty razor is good choix..j t'aime
Why am I watching this
To me it’s like the Freddie Mercury moustache
Yup he looks like my dad with the mustache
you know you have good clippers when they dont eat into your face when manoeuvring at speed
You should be an actor Carlos cause you are always changing your looks every week lol 😂
Instead I am a youtuber lol Thanks appreciate the compliment.
He was originally supposed to be Indiana Jones but his contract with magnum P.I. said he had to have a mustache for the role and couldn't shave it for the film and Steven Spielberg didn't want Indiana Jones with a mustache so he couldn't do the film.
Dunno Tom Selleck stache had such thickness most men will never get just like Sam Elliot.
Looking good Carlos, but you need about 2 months growth on your mustache before you can capture the Magnum mustache.
0:45 ... See fuckin what? 🤣
You sir have an glorious moustache !
Magnum PI ❤
You look like Josh Brolin in No Country For Old Men
Thanks I love that dudes look.
Burt Reynolds
Did you ever l I've in the east of North London?
Interesting to hear a Spanish British accent
немного подлиннее нужно усы
Eric bandholz u look like joe dirt with that mullet
Yes, it's harder than it looks but you pulled it off extraordinarily.
I bet you would look awesome with sideburns/ chops
He looks good
I'm not sure if you're being serious, Tom Selleck has a 3-4 months length moustache, you are barely at 1 month length.
Look more like Josh Brolin in American Gangster
Josh Brolin??😲
I like the biker look on you
