- The new @legendhobby411 AD-5 Skyraider should be hitting the streets and so here is my flight review for this big 86" warbird. This Skyraider is such a fantastic flyer, it's extremely fun! Being the AD-5, it has an extremely unique look at the field and in flight too. I can't wait to see what else Legend Hobby has coming! :) #Skyraider #Warbird #RCplanes

Your the best on utube, for serious guys who really love flying rc planes
Thank you so much!
A fantastic model, being presented by an equally fantastic pilot! I think I told you before, but I remember building a Monogram models kit of this variant, or at least the USAF A-1E in low-vis grey. It was in 1/72 scale and was a great kit, like all Monogram kits were. Anyway, thanks again for sharing this, and I hope all is well with you and the fam!
Thanks John! Been on the road all week, get to our new home tomorrow at last! 😁
@@Thercgeek Outstanding!!!!
VA 35 were the Sunday Punchers flying A-6As just after the AD. East Coast Squadron
When I saw the speakers, I thought, where is he going with this? When the sound played the engine starting, I immediately thought.....brilliant. Well done Chris.
Thanks! 😊
Wow super
What an outstanding and unique model. Beautiful demo flight my friend.
Chino site has steadily improved over the past 20 years!!
It’s such a great flying site!
VERY NICE 👍👍
Chris. Wow. That is a super nice bird. The colors pop in your video. I can imagine in person that it would look just awesome. 👍👍 Wayyy up. 😊
Thanks! She’s definitely east to see. 😁
Funny to see these from a VA squadron instead of a VC. But I love the look of this aircraft - and I've seen the real ones flying at various times in my long life. Beautiful bird, and it's good that you pay it the respect it deserves.
Thanks!
Amazing model, what a beast 👍😎
Another excellent job!
Thank you!
Nicely done! I know a guy that was just saying he wished there was a SkyRaider available. I love the sound of it.
Thanks! I think legend hobby has about the only skyraiders out there at the moment.
Brilliant review Chris, what a fantastic looking plane. Another one on the hit list. Hope the move is going well 👍🏻
Thank you! We’ve arrived, so, so far so good! 😁
@@Thercgeek now for the Boxes 😀
Hello c vraiment un très bel Avion !!! je vous félicite pour le travail accompli bravo .. Ps c vraiment un plaisir de regardez vos vidéos . continuez ... Stéphane de France ....
Thank you!
Stunning just stunning, I love the A1 always have but I must say this review made my mind up about sound modules, they are barely audible if at all in flight which is when it counts - I would rather buy more packs or put bigger packs in than add the weight and cost of sound modules that admittedly make startups a lot cooler but that's about all they do. Im a much bigger fan of your afterburners - those make sense.
Haha, I get it. Keep in mind that my speaker installation is far from ideal. Sound is directional and being in the cowl without any sound holes deadens the sound significantly. The speakers really should be in the wings facing downward covered by a screen only. The loudness would be night and day in that. I just couldn’t bare to cut holes in the cowl, haha!
@@Thercgeek Copy that, I did once witness a Stuka with a gorgeous engine note and siren all activated from the Tx so I guess it depends on the aircraft and installation. I love your creativity and going the extra mile on these scale projects, that is the aspect of the hobby that I enjoy myself, sometimes even more than flying. Happy landings
When I install this into a warbird I fully build, I’ll integrate it better so that it’s much more audible.
it looks freakin amazing! I would love to buy one of the A-1´s and I don´t mind the price but 1000 DOLLAR! Shipping to Germany is NOT an option. Really bummed out about that
There may be a global distributorship through seagull models, but I’m not sure. Freighting anything right now is crazy expensive unfortunately. 😕
Where was this filmed? Beautiful field.
This was filmed at the Pomona valley flyers field in chino.
That's a beautiful model! One question, which radial engine (if any) would fit in the cowl? Otherwise, which four stroke petrol/gas engine would be apropiate? Thanks in advance guys.
The challenge is the diameter of the cowl and finding a radial with sufficient power to fly it that fits. If you want to go the grass route, I’d recommend a 40cc twin cylinder. It’ll fit in the cowl I think and will have a more pleasant sound than a single cylinder engine.
@@Thercgeek Thank you very much for info!
I red somewhere the cowl diameter is 190mm. With that measure my Saito Fa200R3/FG33R3 doesn't fit, let alone the Saito FA325R5 that was intended for the Skyraider. I will have to think about some twin cylinder four stroke that will fit......if any at all.
190mm is probably about right on the diameter.
Like 👍🏼
A target tow plane with a bomb . Prank someone on the way home 😀
Haha, right?! I had the open pylon and I had the bomb, so, why not? 😆
TRASH PANDAS, yep, he's a Dad!!
Haha, you know it! 🤣
