- I happened to be in Universal Orlando during the 30th anniversary of Jurassic Park. We checked out the tribute store they set up. Here is what we saw!

One thing I remember about the original Jurassic Park movie is we went on a field trip to watch the movie at the theater. Then afterwards, we went to McDonald's. And I got the Jurassic Park sized meal. It was huge. And that was what gave McDonald's the idea to start offering the Supersize value meals.
Some kid bet me $5 that I couldn't eat the whole thing. I ate it all, but he wouldn't pay up. It was a rough ride back as it was two hour bus ride. And he told me I'd have to drink the whole drink and ice, and had a full bladder the entire way back.

Universal Orlando has been doing a lot of tributes to their older movies and rides over the past few years. Last summer they had an entire Universal Monsters tribute store with replicas of sets and statues of the monsters on display. They also have a Retro store with a bunch of merch from closed rides with hype videos for the rides playing.
I went to Island of Adventure for the opening of Velocicoaster and Universals the next day. I believe the tribute store was there when I went a couple of years ago.

The Velocicoaster is like some maniac child created a Jurassic Park coaster in a video game and Universal was like “oh sure we’ll make that”
The JP tribute store was in the Hollywood section of Universal Studios because that space has become one of the areas dedicated to tribute stores. The area used to hold a small thrift shop that would sell old ride memorabilia and also an annual passholder lounge. They emptied out both places and turned it into one big space for these themed stores.
Cool to see you hanging with your mom at the theme park. I live in South Florida and my mom lives in Central Florida and I plan my vacation with her and we usually get annual passes to one of the parks. We did Universal a few years in a row , last year it was Disney and this year it's Sea World and Busch Gardens.

@@robk.6591 IKR. Out of all the later sequels I like Jurassic World the most. Fallen Kingdom was terrible and Dominion was a dumpster fire. The only thing that I liked from dominion was the motorbike scene with all the dinos running loose and eating people.

I don’t mind the Universal Studios Hollywood version. It’s basically the same as the one in Universal Studios Florida, just with a mild re-skin.
nice video. Glad you had fun at the park, I can't believe its been 30 years since JP came out, I remember seeing it in the theater that summer. I've been really enjoying the show since you went independent. can't wait for the tomorrow never dies review, it will help me get through work on Tuesday.
That barrel roll over the water at the end od velocicoaster definitely makes u feel like u fly out of the seat

This was the first movie I ever remember seeing. The first video game I ever played was, also, Jurassic Park on Genesis.
Like ghostbusters I would love anything with a Jurassic park logo on it
I love Jurassic Park! I'll nvr have an experience going to theatres like that again 🦖 It's also when I lost my pinky toe
And all I did was re-watch the blu-ray. Actually, the OCD in me would go nuts if I found out I was there the day before the anniversary.

Definitely come back down for epic universe! Four theme lands in one park! Btw I miss Nickelodeon studios being here. Sucks they tore down the psycho set awhile back..
Low-key tho Harry Potter land is awesome too! One of the best themed lands in any theme park!! I do wanna go back for epic universe and super nintendo land too!!
@@kdusel1991 I agree I’m not much of a Harry Potter fan but I definitely appreciate it. I just wish they could’ve just made one big themed land for that. Cause I’m my opinion it’s over saturated

I remember going to see JP when i was 11 and Texas governor, Ann Richards was in the audience with us. She was only the second female governor of Texas and the only democratic female governor.
