I'm 100% sure that your channel is the most complete research D&D crafts source I've ever seen. Great channel and great content, it's helping me a lot!
You probably get this a lot, but your channel is mind-bogglingly creative and professional. I've been using your terrain for almost a year now and it took my tabletop to absolutely new heights.
Very awesome, I will have to use this technique in the future for some cool effects. My players always love what I do based on your work. All thanks to you, mate. I really love how quick, modular, and cheap the your 2.5d dungeons are. You have transformed my games, thank you.
With the lava the bases on the islands almost dissappear, if only there were clear hot glue🤔 I could see myself drilling a hole in the bottom of the islands and gluing in a steel nail to keep them stable Super creative and Awesome build 😎👍
you could use a screw on the bottom of those loose pieces to weight it down, and maybe use some clear packing plastic as the base. Not tried it, but could work. Anyway, amazing work as always!
Well done! I stumbled on your channel recently and have consumed pretty much every build video. Despite watching terrain building videos for years, yours are the only ones that motivated me to immediately go and make some (built several chests, barrels, and crates.) The simplicity of your designs and your use of printable textures really streamlines the process. Already planning ways to turn your classic tree design into a mangrove design and palm design. Would love to see more out-doors scatter terrain. Even if they're mostly just palette swaps of older projects.
@@CrookedStaffTerrain Not at all! (I actually watch most of my crafting videos at night before bed because they are so relaxing. Which means I am going to go back and watch them all again! :) EDIT: I just looked up your channel and I can tell I've already missed a few, so I will be bingeing again LOL
With all the builds you have done you must have some really interesting dungeons.Keep going!!! Would love to see some underdark or farie forest themed builds.
Very cool build. I need to try some of this soon. I am running a campaign taking place in the underdark and some of this type of setting would fit in perfectly.
Nice work Kris!! I'm torn on the bases, the hot glue ones look good and in the crafter spirit but then again the clear mini bases would show the pattern underneath...Either way, I think you've got yourself a Winner!!
I was actually hoping the base would dry a bit more transparent (that was the original plan) - so you could see the lava underneath. But seeing as how that didn't work very well - having the base be a circle of the lava texture with something heavy on the bottom would probably be a better call.
Very nice. As always very clean build. But yeah glue bases are not strongest points of this build. Clear bases should be better or you can out something heavy at bottom of this stalagmite and put it on base from clear plastic from mini package - would work as well. Of add some stone/ruble on its base and it would looks like it is emerging from surface it sits on.
Interesting but the first thing I though when I saw you working on them was that they are upside down. If you are building a bridge on Stalactites you would dig threw them but a stalagmite you can take off the top and build on it. If I were you I would cut off the glue and flip them up side down and make a second topper so you can have a multi square side and a single square side. also the small stalagmite and mights would still make sense because the mineral water still drips down over the stones
I probably didn't explain it very well ...it's really meant to be a normal passage that's started to crumble away. I've just used the stalagmite/stalactite technique to try and represent something you'd normally carve out of foam if you were making something like this: ih1.redbubble.net/image.120190480.1390/st,small,507x507-pad,600x600,f8f8f8.u2.jpg Hopefully that makes better sense :)

Yep ...if I can get the 'bases' sorted out, I'll be much happier :)

suggest adding a washer when you make the hot glue base. That will give more stability.
I was actually hoping the base would dry a bit more transparent (that was the original plan) - so you could see the lava underneath. But seeing as how that didn't work very well - having the base be a circle of the lava texture with something heavy on the bottom would probably be a better call.
