His biggest weakness was his conflicted nature never truly giving himself to neither the dark or light sides of the force
I completely agree but genuinely asking here do you think he ever came to terms with the Dark side?
People say this but if they wanna excuse vaders evil then all the sudden “anakin died on mustafar” lol. Did anakin truly die or remain alive inside vader? Its time we pick one. If he’s alive in there, then i would say he truly embraced the dark side. If anakin was alive while vader blew up entire planets then we cant say anakin isnt evil. He was.
@@Trash2000s I’m saying, this is thing because I feel like once he killed the younglings is when Anakin was completely lost to the dark side then what happened on Mustafar compounded his switch to the Dark side even more
@@Trash2000sDarth Vader was more like a split personality.
@@dred9174 As the ROTS novelization points out, Vader wasn't a split personality as opposed to Anakin's attempt at reconciling his ideology with the person he had allowed himself to become by relying on the darkness that burned in him. It was easier for him to reason that "Vader" killed his wife when _he_ made the choice to choke her.
3:21 The Jedi, particularly in the Clone Wars, taught more emotional suppression than control. The Sith taught to channel emotions and use them to accomplish great feats.
As an aside, this same reasoning led me to believe that Maul never actually wanted to kill Kenobi (post-Phantom Menace) because doing so would rid him of a rich source of anger that fuels his power.
A hurt, broken man will lash out like a wounded dog. Vader/ Anakin really had nothing to lose and nothing to live for other than serving his master. Dependency on direction, I’d say was his weakness
Vader's weakness being grief and regret makes perfect sense, as even if it's a negative emotion grief is a byproduct of love, as is regret a weakness as he's not embracing who he is, he's wallowing about who he was.
Or other words, he can’t bring himself to hurt his last close companions, whether it’s his apprentice, his wife or his children otherwise, if anything happens to them, he’ll regret himself.
I agree. Sidious wanted Vader to learn,to be stronger. Vader had mental issues, blocks. He couldn't advance.Grief was main obstacle. Padme,Obi-wan,Jedi,those were main obstacles. He never learned what Jedi taught him-to let go. Great analysis. May the Force be with you
it's always our minds that hold us back
@@Caesar_1415 that's true. our minds limit us. so much we don't understand. it's up to us
@@Gor85 exactly 💯
Sidious' description of channeling ones anger properly vs lashing out in blind rage sounds like the philosophy of Darth Marr
It's sand because it's coarse, rough and it gets everywhere
You forgot that it's irritating
Darth Vader was between two worlds. Light & Dark. He wasn’t truly evil. But angry with what has happened not only to him. But to Padme.
When you willingly destroy an entire planet, killing millions, you are evil. In fact, I would say that his conflicted nature makes him MORE evil. He knew what he was doing was wrong, and did it anyway.
I say he was definitely evil. He was caring towards a chose circle of family and friends but everyone else didn't matter to him. He would kill anyone without even slightest regret.
Palpatine - "Stop killing my officers!!"
This is probably one of my favorite videos you have made . Much love from Texas
The man had many weaknesses, unfortunately. Maybe none more than his arrogance. It cost him his body and health. He was also emotionally and mentally fragile. Plenty of raw power he had but unfortunately he lacked the emotional and mental stability to truly harness all that power.
I feel like you have your voice volume and quality in a good place. DONT CHANGE ANYTHING!
I bet sidious wasn't thinking that when a one armed Vader picked him up & took him on a slow walk to a shafts while tanking his best lightening 😂
Stupendous Wave does such a great job with these videos
Palpatine: Lord Vader, can you hear me?
Vader: what'd you say?
His biggest weakness is a kid running up and button mashing the control unit on the front of his suit.
This really mirrors the flaws of both the light and dark side of the force. While they have very clear differences, they have some interesting and albeit uncomfortable similarities. Both involve encouraging to let go in order to make the person in their own image.
His greatest weakness is his feelings of love for Padme. Same for what he once was where he just wanted to live with his wife and children in peace but all of that went horribly wrong for him.
I wouldn't say that it was a weakness, rather the Jedi made it seem like it is a weakness. If he had the proper support, and compassion from the fellow Jedi, he would never have had turned as he did. He had felt so alone, and helpless due to this fact. Anakin had to hide his feelings of love and fear of losing Padme. That was the weakness.
I flat out disagree.
Why?
Stress, love & anger are all emotions that Anakin used
@@daydreamdirty Anakin was always scrambling to hold onto what he had, rather than reaching for more. Grief and remorse always held him back, and the jedi culture of constant self-denial prevented him from developing the tools he needed to control his mental state.
@@wildrangeringreen that’s a very good point btw
Beautifully said as always. ❤️🔥🐸🤌
Thank you. Keep on bringing videos about Darth VADER. Important all of this was not, but his mission was all.
You know what’s crazy Vader tried to teach Galen Marek aka Starkiller that same lesson abt forgetting and letting go so his apprentice backfired on him jus as he backfired on Sidious so it’s a domino affect
Great video
This is why Lord Sidious was the true superior being in the galaxy.
Plus in ALL of cinema. Not one redeeming quality about Darth Sidious. Not one.
@@DarthSaggezza , One needs not be a good person to be superior.
@@lordofpain3476 correct.
He never learned the need to take the high ground
Imagine if Vader healed his body, could he slowly regain is mandalorian count???
I love the Irony of how simular or reversed the Sith idiology is to the Jedi.
Like letting go will give you power, by feeling regret will weaken you.
If the Jedi bothered to understand the dark side, they could teach their padawans and younglings what to look out for and be aware of the concequenses. It would demystify the dark side like these videos does with me, and they would probably be less tempted, if at all to go down that dark path.
I saw the title of the video and thought of the meme (GIF) of the black guy tapping his head. Vaders weakness comes from his mind.
This video reminded me of series "How I met your mother"
Long story told then "This my friends is not Vader's greatest weakness"
Grievous: your weaknesses that not only you can’t stand an EMP as I ,how many lives can you protect than yours especially for those who are in your heart?
Truly the best truth ever told about Darth Vader. We see so many 'experts ' talk about how weak his suit makes him.If you truly know the Star Wars story, this was never the case Stupendous Wave, you truly are appreciated.
If grief is the culmination of love then it makes sense it wouldn’t properly fuel dark side power
Patience is something that Vader and Luke didn’t have.
This is my problem with people hyping him up so much more than Yoda or even overthrowing Darth Sidious outright. It's always about the Mind.
His lack of limbs, his burned lungs, his burned body, his regret at the death of his wife, I can go on
Anyone know what song or theme they use in this video? It's basically in every video The Stupendous Wave makes
I thought his biggest weakness was chocolate.
Make an update on starweirds.
Vader never mastered dark healing anf dark rage like exar kun did which is force Valor on steroids, exar kun is the only sith lord to take dark rage to it highest degree
Those lightsabers were really cool. But I probably won't get any of them.
Before the video even starts I wanna say his weakness was his mentality
Imma need a detailed description on Luke and Vader last fight. What was goin through vader head while fight his son for the last time. What was goin thru Luke head while fighting his father you know.
King plagues wise coming
Reminds me when 2 eses one I went to school with other been hitting me up riding by for weeks. They jumped out on my ese friend. I fought one we fell through a docs office window laughed and they got on
Easy: the high ground.
Honorable mention: sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating - and it gets everywhere
I'm surprised nobody ever just through sand at him just to see what it would do... That's always the problem with Vader. He still has the mind of that teenager who flies off the handle Because he has so much power He uses it on a whim...
Luke learned how to control that amount of power young Because he listened he learned from the mistakes that others made... That was the problem with obi wan he didn't teach him how to use power If he was teaching him, how to be a good person, which is not what he needed..
This is why the way of the gray side of the force is the best! There is no light, there is no dark, there is only... The Force.
Grey jedi aren't a thing, neither in canon nor in legends
@@JsjsusiAshoka isn’t a grey Jedi?
@@Jsjsusi Qui-Con Jin, Ahsoka Tano, arguably Kanan Jarrus... Have you seen Rebels and the force creature Bendu?
@@yordvandammei think yt just deleted my response comment for whatever reason or can you see it? Is my yt just buggy? Lol
@@Jsjsusi No I don't see an extra response?
This was the greatest of sith lessons I have learned is not to have weaknesses of the the mind and learning to let go all things that make me weak now my understanding of 0:01 the dark side of the force is complete now I truly have unlimited power
I jumped into this video thinking it would be his past and found out it wasnt
Do you guys have a point if contact with ownasaber? They shipped one out to me without the microSD so it won't work at all. I sent two requests this week and have gotten nothing.
It always made sense how useless Vader was compared to what he could be his mental fortitude and attunement to the force was always superficial and he always relied on his given talents and man made affinity for the force. So when hard work and foundations are required he copped out when it really counted for him.
Howdy!
Imagine if Vader had creatively killed Sidious with the force (telekinesis) in ROJ, and never used his brute strength which originally resulted in Sidious force Lighting him to his death. Vader would survive with his suit undamaged. Vader & Luke escape the death star, how does this change the outcome of the film or lore.
Sidious might've sensed Vader's attempt and fry him where he stood.
@@DarthDevorinSidious won't have been able to take on both Vader AND Luke. Lucas was clear, Vader was 80% of Palpatine. And even if Luke was weaker, Palps doesn't stand a chance.
Wouldn't the light side provide better healing? Since it seems the light promotes life so it would make sense that it would produce better results that wouldn't be temporary
What unique ability would a full potential Anakin/Vader have?
Darth Vader's weakness is the most obvious one, his love and compassion for his son Luke Skywalker.
His love for padme is the source for the love he had for luke so still padme
His greatest weakness was loving too much 😂
I thought it was never getting spinsorship from gillette...
Lord Vader knows that someone something was behind everything he knew that king plagues wise behide everything not palpatine lord Vader was close to finding out about his grandfather behide everything not palpatine
Robot Chicken Sidious: ...or I'm going to tell everyone what a whiny b*tch you were about Padama-may or Panda Bear or whatever the hell her name is! Oh Jeeze, he's crying!
Orn & Sim: snerk-snicker-snort
And suddenly, this punchline feels so much more poignant. In all seriousness tho, he's *always* had this problem, as a Sith or a Jedi. The whole instant reaction to his feelings thing. Great when you're piloting a star fighter or pod racer, not so good when you're walking around dealing with beings.
Vader wouldve never been an effective ruler of the empire. He's a bad teacher, a cold speaker, and has no subtlety for politics.
His greatest weakness is overestimating his powers.
so had vader not ended up being that hurt would he have tried to over throw the emperor?
Sounds like something Kratos would say
I don't believe he lost force potential, from losing parts of his body. The way I read it, the higher concentration of the midichlorians is what gives a being superior force potential. He would have the same high concentration, I think, in what was left of his body. I do believe that he lost potential though, because of the trauma, and it clearly says that he could not use force lightning, b/c of his suit being extremely vulnerable to it, and having metal hands, that it would not flow through. I think this is why he was only 80% as powerful as Sidious. The force lightning alone, would be a huge edge over one who could not use it at all, no matter the potential of their other abilities.
Day 173 of asking for a part 3 of what if anakin was trained by qui gon
So no one else wonders where this theme comes from 🤔😭
It's his arrogance
Darth Vader anger at Obi wan Kenobi blinded him
Oh please. Sidious is a psychopath. What the hell does he about letting go?
Wasn't she the same one that had a plan to destroy planets if his empire fail to protect him. The empire that he lost!
Is it me? I bet its me.
In real life, the inability to "let go" (one way, or the other) can be defining. After all these movies are tales of human nature. There is no need to over complicate that.
Anakin’s weaknesses: His arrogance, sand, and the high ground, Vader’s weaknesses: Force lightning ⚡️ and Grief i think with Vader it was always a mental problem that held him back for so long like Anakin he hardly lets go of anything bc Anakin and Vader were always one in the same
Vader biggest weakness is his hatred of himself witch is counter production to the darkside
what about the fact that he lost like half his body
he is too much jedi, so he never be the true sith lord.
Vader was perfect his only flaw was his suit….. anakin was a master in the making his flaw his emotions…… everyone trained him right and palp was pushing him in the right direction throughout the clone wars but his flaw was never teaching anakin control……. Palp always made sure each one of his apprentices had a major weakness he could exploit…. That has not and will not change….. even years later when little kylo tried palp made sure not to let him have enough to truly be sith.
His biggest weakness was his overconfidence
I'm calling it. It's Sand.
Sure, it's coarse and gets everywhere, but due the high ground he ended like a crisp burned turkey.
His biggest weakness is sand of course
The high ground is a close second
If Anakin is unharmed, he can reach his full potential. But then he could defeat Palpatine, but Palatine wanted to be the last Sith. However, he is disappointed that Anakin is not reaching his full potential... Now would Palpatine have accepted that Vader would be the boss?
the unfettered pursuit of power comes with an realization that it will likely end with your demise at the hands of a rival or pupil, especially as you age and become physically limited (Sidious was pursuing the ability to live forever, thereby freeing himself from that). The pursuit of strength enables one to free themselves from the dominion of others, and it is a sliding scale. That being said, no Sith wants to be replaced; but it's the natural way of things: The dark side is like a fire, and softer, weaker metals yield to stronger ones in the heat.
Sidious was disappointed, and somewhat enraged at Anakin's inability to seize power, not because he wanted Vader to replace him, but because Anakin's failings were an afront to the Sith Code, and that reflects on Vader's master, to an extent (self-respecting Sith don't suffer the weak to be privy to their knowledge).
@@wildrangeringreen Thanks! Although this is an interesting question, whether the person who replaced the previous sith was always stronger in strength. I don't think so, but they simply recognized a situation well, that now was the time to attack.
SAND
Anakins weakness was being a simp
Lord Vader father behide everything not palpatine king plagues wise coming bro new movie he going kill rey skywalker Luke skywalker grandfather behide everything
Kk plagues wise fake his death he behind everything by cloneing himself over over kylo ren grandfather coming to movie every one miss it
The best teachers Anakin and Vader ever had was Jedi Master Qui Gon and Darth Sidious I honestly don’t think Anakin being trained by Obi Wan or by the Jedi Order helped him grow as a person thats why I believe Qui Gon and Palpatine were the best teachers and father figures he ever had in his life
Palpatine definitely wasn't a good father figure. He manipulated him for years.
@@jacquizzz3476yea but only if Qui Gon survived
@@joshuahenderson3444 If Qui-Gon survived, it still wouldn't stop Palpatine from gassing Anakin up and making him believe that he couldn't trust Qui-Gon. After everything the Jedi and Obi-Wan did for him, Palpatine still managed to manipulate Anakin into believing that the Jedi were plotting to take over the Republic.
I just want to say that the Jedi and Sith in Star Wars are extreme sayings the way they seem and that’s something I don’t like about Star wars
...NNNNNNOOOOOOO
its only sand, Vader. get over it!
And here is where one asks "but why does the Emperor care?" Without a clear future, or objective; a place where Vader belongs, or a position to aspire to, beyond "Emperor's servant", what difference does it make that he's "limited"? Sidious never intended for Vader to replace him, so keeping him beneath a particular power threshold would almost seem planned, and considering nothing Vader is sent to do really matters, hes plenty strong enough to do what he's told. Pitiful rebels, and pirates, don't require a mighty Dark Lord of the Sith, and those who might've been of a caliber to require "the Chosen One" to deal with had already been killed, or broken. If Palpatine never wanted to face Vader, didn't have any real challenges to sick him on, and knew that Vader couldn't assist him in the deepest parts of Dark Side power, I'd almost think he'd just ignore Vader, and be happy he didn't create his own worst rival, even if a Sith knows they'll always have rivals.

I am taking back my like. Bro its very clearly stated by Lucas that losing his limbs weakened him. Not his emotions. I just checked and although ur theory is appealing, its simply not true.

How to digital scam
Yeah, this mostly sounds about right. I've personally always thought Vader's greatest strength is also his greatest weakness, that being his self-loathing. He draws strength in the dark side from it, but its also the chink in his armor that allowed him to return to the light.
Volume is so low
Turn it up
What Vader healed himself? I’ll be really cool.
It does not makes any sense to me.
