    Fair points, Had 2 lexmoto motorbikes. Honeslty worked well. got to consider a lot of parts as 'consumables' but also dam easy to get replacements. My engwe X should be arriving soon, honestly will likely look into modding it (already orderd different handle bars). Hoping that by the time I get round to looking for a replacement I can get back to motorbikes (when I have a place to store one that won't be stolen). Would be keen to see how you are going about building your own. Keep up the content mate.

      @@mrhawk2005 Its £55 to change 1 thing. Rest of the bike looks ideal....and legal. I'm happy with the purchase. Any future 'modding' will more likely be replacing parts as they wear down (or adding a side mirror with the extra width priovided by the handel bars). Not replacing everything just cause I could.

    I can honestly say I've not had any issues with my Lankeleisi rv800 fat ebike, i once needed a new thru axle bolt so contacted support & was given a new one for free within 1 week, yes the language barrier initially was an issue but soon got over that.

    Hi mate . Good informative vid again…. Got be honest I love my Engwe Pro but I’ve decided to sell after 2 years..I was going buy a new fat tyre Chinese e bike but because of the problems and none existent back up and bike repair shops will touch them I’ve gone all out and bought a Reisse & Muller Mixte 750 GT multi charger for my work as a pest controller for work around the city and outskirts .cost a fortune but has the 3 year warranty and back up is there if needed. Better than giving it to Mr Sunak 😆.

    Brilliant advice I'm looking to buy my first e bike.ive watched tons of u tube videos and seen lots of bikes I like for carrying garo.but now I've seen your video haha back to square one.i like models like engwe L20 2.0 and that Italian one is it the T1.that type of bike.for carrying at bit of fishing gear or pulling my little bike trailer.mainly all flat terrain except two steep flyovers.i m 16 stone and just want the help of a ebike as I'm disabled with arthritis in my hips.so and e bike would help me massively.any help please where and what to buy cheers great video buy the way you've already helped.

    Hi
    Very interesting video and certainly worth watching.
    My other half bought a keteles K800 duel motor ebike and the controllers failed after less than 30 miles.
    Keteles did send him two new replacements and now its back working again.
    I just wanted to know do these controllers produce heat or are they safe enough to seal away to protect them from dirt and water please ?

    • @ModProjects4306
      @ModProjects4306  Před měsícem +1

      They do produce heat and although if seen them sealed in heat dispersing solid gels it’s something I wouldn’t recommend. Keeping them cool is key especially in the Summer. This is why on some modified e-bikes you see controllers exposed to the elements (not the wiring mind you).
      Hope this helps.

    Excellent points.
    An Italian e-bike mechanic I spoke to last year said Engwe was by far the worst brand out of the Chinese ones, he said he's always inundated with customers wanting their Engwe fixed.
    It's a shame that, the good, expensive brands all have proprietary parts that makes it too costly to replace parts like batteries, motors, etc. And the well known brands cannot be derestricted either, so you're stuck with 15.5mph top speed - even if you want to use it on private land.
    So my solution is: get a decent donor bike with hydraulic disc brakes and a conversion kit. I prefer rear hub motors, a good battery with branded cells and a good BMS, and a good controller.
    I've got a Yose Power DIY bike that I've had for 4 months and I'm really happy so far.
    If the regulations change I'll probably move on to a 48v 500w nominal motor system in the future.

    Hello. I visited about a week ago an ebike shop in Belgium. The power bikes limited to 45 km/h are from 6000 to 13000 euros. For a chinesse you pay 1300 and still complainig. Realy?

    You are right in regards of most youtube reviews. I was trying to get an idea of what to expect from the Engwe Engine pro 2.0. After 10 No-Value - reviews, was about to give up that CZcams will be of any help. Luckily, I found this Czech guy, who bought himself one of these bikes from Banggood and delivered 3 really good videos about it (with English subtitles). He even answers questions in the comments.
    This is how I would like all reviews to be:

    In terms of mechanical support i've only once been turned away by a bike mechanic because of it being a " Chinese brand " look for your independant mechanic who will be more likely to take the job on.

    • @ModProjects4306
      @ModProjects4306  Před měsícem

      5 independents near me, not one will touch a Chinese e-bike, furthermore if it’s anything electrical they won’t touch it.

      @ModProjects4306 What area are you from? Plymouth myself, my independent mechanic has serviced Lankeleisi bikes in the past & still does, i had a Specialized Turbo Vado 4.0 before which he serviced so maybe it's because of the previous connection that he has agreed to take any of the work on.
