POLISH SNIPER W/PIG'S LIVER MRE REVIEW

- I had a Polish Sniper MRE #3 given to me by my son and his wife. Among other things, it has Pork Pate' (Liver) and Beef Shoulder in Tomato Sauce. Really quite tasty. I hope you enjoy it with me.
- Zábava
These two sweets that you had besides coffee are actually vitamin candies, and the armor plate biscuits are literally named “Special biscuits”, multi use you know, eating, tank plating, beating your enemy to death, the usual thing you know 😂
😅🤣😅🤣 You're killing me, Patryk! TFW!
Everyone says there armour or tank tracks lol
damn, had a mental flip till I saw the name.
Their fuel for the fire ...😂😂
1. Well the name Strzelecka does not mean "Sniper's" but more like "Rifleman's". Strzelec - Rifleman is a paramilitary organisation in Poland that works together with Polis Army, to train civilians in using weapons, tactics, survival and first aid. So this is ration designed for them.
2. SU-1 crackers are know in the Polish Army as Panzerwafle (armored waffles) and and it's a play on german word Panzerwaffe - Armored warfare :)
3. The toothbrush is already cover with dental fluid so You can use minimal amount of water to clean Your teeth
4. The main contains besides tomato and carrots also onion, parsley and celery. But they are very fine mashed and mixed with the tomatoes, so not visible on first glance
Thank you so much for the further explanation! That makes sense about the tomato sauce having the puree'd veggies to give a more complete vegetable content. Another subscriber let me know that the fruit candy actually has vitamins similar to fruit so it really was a well rounded meal. I hope to review another of these Polish meals soon. I really like them! TFW!
Thank you for your service! I have much respect for all of those who have served our country.
Michael, I appreciate that. And, I appreciate that you watch my videos.
He wasn't really, he's a faker.
I served two tours of Afghanistan in the 2nd battalion Mercian regiment in the British army and we would regularly engage and talk with the USMC guys on camp and even go on duel patrols with each other and they were great guys. We’d swap our ration packs so at least we’d have something different to eat. The USMC guys really loved the self heating chicken curry and rice bags, they were a big hit with the Marines. Met some good guys and still have some great friends over in America most of which have left the Marine corps now. I was invited over to a old friends house in 2018 just before the pandemic hit and had two brilliant weeks in Texas. He took me night time Hog shooting, we got two kills, straight to the butcher who worked his magic and we had fresh Hog meat on his BBQ party the following day, the meat was delicious. Apparently in Texas Alone they have between 2/3 million wild hogs, and as their a introduced species they cause real problems for the farmers, so their happy for us to go on their land and shoot a few. They snatch and eat the Lambs as well, right in front of the mother. They don’t even kill, them, they just start to eat them whilst their still alive. The male we shot was a big Russian Hog 300lbs plus, thing was huge.

I served on a Navy Frigate in the early 1980s, as a USN Electronic Tech. Our berthing compartments had aluminum racks 3 deep. I always ended up in a top rack. In my last berthing compartment, the stack of racks would move around as the ship rolled in rough seas. Much worse on a small 430 foot ship. I would tie my sheet up over the 8 inch waterpipe over my head, to limit movement. And, I am 6'4". 😄
I have always loved braunschweiger. Lately, I order some pork liver pate from Amazon that tastes just like the braunschweiger. Good stuff!
I'm glad you somewhat like the liver paté. It's a comfort food in Scandinavia, Poland and Russia, where spices and ingredients differ from country to country. It's usually eaten with rye bread here in Denmark, and i highly recommend you try a danish MRE at some point 👍
Love the videos 🙏
I would love to try a Danish MRE one day. I'll have to watch for one. TFW!

Uh Ohh! Good luck...maybe tell them about Me Ancient video channel?
Hey, Mr. Me Ancient! Hope the Florida weather is treating you well.
It's been amazing. TFW!
I am not sure for poland and some other slavic countries but here in Crotia we call that pate "Pašteta" we usually spread it on bread and have it for breakfast, also some people put some "Slanina" smoked bacon not cooked and some onions I personally like it,you should try it, its delicious and amazing way to start the day
Adam, sounds good. I've got more MREs with pate in them that I'll be trying new stuff.....TFW!

As usual, an excellent review and a story. I love how your channel is progressing!
We'll keep at it. I am not putting out as many as I would like but I have to have help at this point in the filming and Ace is so busy in Florida that it makes it difficult sometimes for our schedules to come together. I have my channel for fun. His is how he makes his living so his channel takes priority. TFW!

I am writing from a very restless Poland full of refugees and soldiers from all over the world. Yesterday you could meet your "AirBorn" in Krakow. They take advantage of the weather and visit the city. Our Polish kitchen is full of meat, so in this ration it's just the same you have almost the same meat. There is always groats in eastern kitchens, and the same will be true in their MRE. A cracker is actually SUCHAR, if you want it to be soft, you soak it in tea. You can also put it in your pocket and eat it even in a month.
TFW and tks for the comments, Piotr. Take care of yourself.
Semper Fi brother. I was a sailor, serving from '76 to'80, stationed at NAS Miramar in San Diego. I was fortunate to serve aboard the carriers USS Forestal and USS Constellation. Our berthing compartment was obviously much moe luxurious than your berthing area. The beauty of serving aboard a carrier is that the chow was great and a ship that large has far less noticeable movement than those smaller vessels. Love your videos. I especially enjoy watching you share your faith. God bless brother.
I LOVED Navy chow. Are you kidding me! Mid Rats! I gained weight on ship for sure. TFW
Great vid, love the editing with all those photos and a short story from navy. Can't wait for the next one!
I'm excited to get the next one out to y'all. However, it will be a little while. Ace is so busy filming his channel's videos that it's difficult for us to collaborate sometimes. Things will settle down in about 10 days or so. TFW!
Loved sitting here on my 6x2 bed watching you try liver pate on floor tiles. The signs posted on your gazebo were a great add on keep these coming 😃😊
We are actually on a little get away in Florida, staying in a VRBO home. Filming videos for Ace Video. Caught a few lobster today. TFW!
@@MeAncient well its beautiful and I'm glad you're enjoying some good times with family. Keep making these reviews between you and steve1989 I'm getting not only a glimpse of what militaries eat but an entertaining pov.
Awesome videos. Left-handed recognizes left-handed.
Thank you for your service
A+ video. Excellent filming location, the KUBO you are sitting under was certainly a perfect spot to try out yet another positive MRE experience. I believe our young troops would go for the meatballs over a bed of rice. Two of the brood like liver spread so the pate' might be another winner.
Jack, it really was a winner, although, as I said, I could have used some freeze dried fruit or something. I did have someone comment that the candies are full of vitamins and take the place of fruit. If so, then that was a truly excellent meal because the candies were very tasty. TFW!
How awesome! Absolutely love watching anything with you and your sons. You guys are true genuine souls and the fact you guys pray just makes me smile more. God bless you guys keep it up and stay close. Lord knows these days we have to stick together.
We love inviting everyone in on our adventures. I think I can speak for my sons when I say that. TFW, Eric!
We always made our own pork liver paté when I grew up. We got a half or whole pig for Christmas and did all sorts of stuff. Coarser texture than regular Swedish and more like the Danish variants. We also had anchovy in the recepy. Delicious! Thanks for a great channel.
That actually sounds like a great idea....make your own Pate'. TFW
These are wild. My boyfriend was in the Air Force. He retired after putting in his 20 years. He was a mechanic. After retiring he worked at an airport as a mechanic at JFK for JetBlue. He’s still there. One of his “buddies” had MREs. I wanted to try one. He brought home 2 of them. They were okay. For the life of us we can’t remember what they were. LoL. But I could live on them. But then again I love all food. No matter what. I want to thank for your service. No matter what your job or what you do it’s not home, and it could be a scary time for you young kids! God bless you for wanting to protect people back home risking your life. Again thank you for your years of protecting me and everyone else.
I didn’t know Air Force get MRE’s since they are always on a base and eat actual cooked meals lol
Love how you both contribute, these are great rations and some of my favourite meals. Your videos are awesome. I am glad I came across your channel!
Happy to have you aboard. TFW!
this was great, I enjoy your stories. Those signs above you are pretty funny
Came with the house that Ace rented for making his videos. Tks, Eric. I'm happy you enjoy the stories. TFW!
what u ate there is "Leberwurst" ( It translates into "Liver Sausage" and is partly meat, partly liver that has been grinded up very finely and mixed with some spices, sugar, salt etc. ) . Thats how we call it in Germany, it´s quiet common for breakfast or more likely to be eaten in the evening on bread with some mustard if you like. You should try it out, its a good combination.
Phil, sound good. I'll have to look for a German MRE with the Leberwurst included. TFW!

Hey guys! So glad to see another MRE video posted. That MRE looked very appetizing to me. The main course looked really substantial, no "low calorie" things in that MRE! One question that I hoped to hear you answer was, why is it called a snipers MRE?? I thought that it might be something that required no heating, thus possibly giving away the snipers position, from the open flame!!?? Don't know?? Great video guys, keep 'em coming!! God bless, stay safe. 😃
This is a commercial ration (although made from the same components used in the military rations) and the name is just a marketing idea. Another type is called wojskowa=military.
I think Delicious below has it right in his assessment. TFW, Darryl

That pork liver is like potted meat that we have here in the U.S which is good stuff. I always enjoyed your videos Sir God bless and have a wonderful week

Nah, potted meat is quite different in taste. I eat both often, and much prefer the pork liver pate.
I bet texture wise its close.
But potted meat isn't any good any more.
They took the tripe out of it.
After watching a few of your European MRE videos, I decided to comment on that Paté. Where I'm from it's called "pašteta" and from the looks of it is quite widespread in Slavic countries. It tends to be either a breakfast or dinner food, usually spread on bread (here, not sure about the other countries). There are few different varieties like "jetrena" (liver) or "čajna" (tea) Paté, at least these are the most prominent tastes.
E sad mi se jede pašteta, al jbg nije baš zdravo xD
Hey, the seeds in the crackers are caraway which gives that distinctive flavour! Greetings from Scotland 🏴
Ah ha! They were really good, for sure. TFW Bill.
The Navy designed Troop berthing to be just good enough to give a man a place to (kind of) stretch out and crash....but uncomfortable enought to motivate Marines to go over the side, hit the beach and sleep a bit more comfortable....considering what little if any sleep Marines get while Marine-ing.
That makes sense..... You must have been a squid? TFW

Semper Fi, James. When did you serve? What units were you with and what was your MOS? TFW!
Served 69 t0 73, started out as a Amtrac mech, with 5th Mar. Div. When 3rd Amtrac was disbanded, they sent me to work at the Camp Pendelton Brig, from there ended up in working at the Army Stockade in Danang, it was 3rd MAF Brig before Army took over. Then worked in the Brig at Quantico. Was out for 8 years and joined the reserves which was a grunt outfit in our area, there for 3 years and then I called it quits. Had 3 different MOS's while in, I guess you can say I couldn't hold down a job.LOL Got out as a SGT. of MARINES
@@jamesthomas5895 Not too much older, my brother. I turned 21 while in boot camp at P.I. in '80. I was a 2621, Manual Morse Intercept Operator. The Corps doesn't even have the MOS anymore. Nobody used Morse Code. Great to know you are out there watching. I appreciate that. Semper Fi!
My hubs was in the Navy ‘80 to ‘84 and was in the North Atlantic too. He told me many stories about “the racks”.
Was he on the USS El Paso by chance or did he do a NATO float to Norway in '84?
@@MeAncient he was on the Ponce. I’m not sure when he went to Norway. We met just two weeks after his discharge. He told me the waters of Norway are some of the most gorgeous in the world.
My dad loved braunswager as well, never could understand the fascination with it
I have always loved it on crackers and on sandwiches.
Toothbrush comes with toothpaste on it, it's just dry. You brush your teeth and have a little water to wash your mouth after. As for pate - it's a standard one, it should be creamy and easy to spread on a bread or a cracker. It can be done from chicken, goose or pig's liver and bits. I'm curious: have you never eaten a pate? The one you tried is nothing to write home about, but not the worse one either. It's standard in Poland to have savoury or sweet option what you can put on a bread. Here, as we're dealing with sniper's pack, it's lightweight, so there's no jam or honey, that usually are given as a sweet option. Sweets are standing for your vit C supply and are given as a pick me up, if you need some sugar kick. The same with coffee drop - gives you a caffeine kick for some time. This is high energy pack for someone who can spend a long time solo and far away from others, so it's geared toward high calories count in minimal packaging. If you like sweets, look for day MRE with bigos or with sausage & cabbage - these have a lot of accesories added and come with rye wafers - very lightweight and not tough at all :)
Mo Bo, thanks for the info....very helpful as I go forward with the next MREs from all over the world. TFW!

If you snap thos fuel cells in half and put match in between two halves it lights a lot easier and faster ...
Why you always open cans or packets before heating? We always heated military rations closed it is easier and sometimes quicker.
Braunschweiger is pork liver and bacon with lard and seasonings ground into a paste. LIverwurst is just pork liver and lard with seasonings..
When they had me locked up during covid in officer's school i thrived on SU-1 biscuits bought whole pack of 100+. Theyre delicious and due to being more filling than average bread managed even to lose some weight since i just stopped eating all bread products they provided us to meals.

No good sleep, for sure. Especially when we hit the 30 - 40 foot swells. I didn't tell the story, but one night during a storm some dishes in the galley that was located directly above our berthing area came loose from their moorings and broke and slid back and forth across the floor all night long. It was quite an ongoing racket. I'm sure someone got into trouble for failing to secure the dish racks after mid rats. TFW, Tom!

Liver pate is one of my favorites. If you’re exerting yourself all day, it really provides a generous amount of calories.
Those crackers are HARDtack.

As far as I know this toothbrush is already soaked in the toothpaste. About the pate to be honest it's a very popular type of food in Poland, many people love that, we have different brands and different tastes (like for example pate with tomatoes and so on). But I rather don't like it. Very nice video :)

The main meal looked a lot like Chef Boy-R-De ravioli meat and sauce without the ravioli. I recommend that the next time you end up with any kind of “sauced” meal, use the steam to soften the crackers. Make the best of the meal you’re given.
