This is so true. The Lord has been walking me through coming out of agreement with ALL lies, not just the ones I’ve believed and fallen prey to more easily. He’s instructed me to come out of agreement with any and everything (and any and everyone) that does not align with His truth, and His Word is truth.

I tell my daughter all the time, no lying, not even as a joke. We cannot open any doors to the enemy because we are not ignorant of his devices (2 Corinthians 2:11). May God keep us sober and vigilant!

whew, let me tell y'all how being judgemental and cynical has been wreaking havoc on my faith and leading me into undercover unbelief and neutered prayer life for years. But because it's not getting drunk or being lustful (things that seem more important to fight against) I would keep letting it slide like it wasn't a big deal. Sis had her foot on my neck with that, cause God has been revealing my heart in 2023, and I'm grateful!

This is soo good! The Lord has been working with me in this. I had to realize the enemy is after our mind on a consistent basis. I’ve been ready the book “Winning the war in your mind” by Craig Groeschel. The enemy doesn’t want us to fight back; or to be able to distinguish his sly lies than to know truth. He wants to immobilize us by his lies so we don’t walk in the fullness and freedom that Jesus has for us.

Wow I’m a new subscriber and I’m binge watching all of your videos!! I have alarms set to study and to pray and yet I have been neglecting GOD lately. And today I asked him what are you trying to tell me?!( I lost my job 3 weeks ago and the guy I have been in love with chose someone else within the last couple of weeks) I have been confused and hurt. I missed church this weekend because I am depressed. I been feeling so lost and today I discovered this channel. I’m a firm believer that prayer changes things! I don’t understand why it’s so hard for me to talk to God sometimes. If anyone reads this please lift me and my two children in prayer 🙏🏾

So good Perry's, such a big heart for youse!! I really enjoy y'all's vids; I haven't got to them all yet so I'm wondering if have y'all ever touched on deliverance? Love how you touched on that we do indeed fight powers and principalities we cannot see and that shame can be "as" huge in pulling us away from God as sexual sin!! The enemy is a liar, shetani a shindwe! (Devil be defeated in swahili). The recent deliverance work the Lord has done in me has literally changed so much for me, firstly seeing the kingdom and the power/love/mercy of God live is like 🤯🤯 haha. But also breaking off things I had believed were me (particularly in the area of sexual sin, shame, and depression). I feel like a whole new person fr. We serve such a good God that would have the heart to redeem, deliver and heal us. All glory to God and bless you guys!!! 🙌🏿

Just a thought as well. Sometimes the very sin or sexual sin that people trying to get free from is the result of some other weight or baggage. For eg a person being unforgiving or bitter may draw to sexual sin just for comfort. We ought to check our hearts for real.

So with that said, how do we handle the "little white lies" that are often told in order to surprise a loved one with a birthday party, engagement proposal, etc.?
Is this practice considered worldly and therefore no longer to be engaged in (by Christians)?
Really good question. I’ve prayed about this, asking the Lord when those type of lies are okay. The Lord then brought to my mind the story of Rahab and how she lied to those that were looking for God’s people (can’t remember the two men she was hiding on her roof). Her lie was to promote God’s plan and purpose, and that overrides anything. Also while typing this just now, I think of David and how he played like he was mentally insane to escape the hands of the Philistines (I think, have mercy on my memory of details lol). So I’m not sure if that gives a definitive answer, but I would say to pray for discernment of the spirit behind the “lie.”

I did consider the story of Rahab but it seems in that case it was key to the Lord's plan as you basically stated. I also considered the story of the two midwives (Exodus 1:15-21). So I'm pretty sure when it comes to preserving life or safety a lie would fall under Almighty God's grace.
I just wasn't sure if telling a lie for a "good" reason is also ok since technically it's not a necessity 😕 I'll seek the Lord's guidance further on the matter. Thanks again!
Excellent point and one where we really need clarity from God... I too will be praying on the matter! However, I'm one who tries to avoid lies at all cost
@@tanyanunnally3891 I'm definitely striving to be more aware of the lies that used to slip so easily from my lips --- like whenever I was trying to spare someone's feelings, for example 😒
I will have to work on gently and lovingly speaking truth so as not to default to lying in those cases.
