LOL, ENFPs are fantastic. You were mainly highlighting underdeveloped, immature ENFPs. Wait until they get into their late 20s/early 30s, after they have lived life and explored- this is where ENFPs shine! At this point we have done a lot of soul searching, know ourselves, and still have a HEALTHY zest for adventure. Trust me, this is a quality that does well once you get into the monotony of the 30s and married life. @@sennaa565 Hmmm.... Well my dad can be a little too "go with the flow" and be late to events, and my mom can be too uptight sometimes and struggle with being understood. I would say communication is the hardest thing for sure. They work on it though and have learned a lot from counseling. :)

In my experience, people tend to misinterpret ENFP'S to be childish, when, in actuality, we're childlike. We are curious about everything, we feel deeply, but can forgive easily, and (in my case) are idealists who value flaws. Maybe we're romantics, and spontaneous, but we all have a few unique constants in our lives. If, and when we find the right direction in life we will go straight for it! (Unlike our often garbled storytelling... I still need practice...)
This is not an accurate representation of ENFP at ALL! This one is extremely immature. I'm an ENFP and my boyfriend is INFJ. We are the PERFECT match in every way. I'm an ENFP and I dated an INFJ, and even though it was mostly a really good and compatible relationship, there were hidden issues that were never disclosed before the breakup. I dont think I would like someone who only shows a part of themselves, let alone someone who fakes their feelings to hurt someone else.

ENFPâs can be very much like INFJâs. ENFPâs being the most Introverted of the Extroverts and INFJâs being the most Extroverted of the Introverts, our actual energy levels are complimentary and we both need an unexpected amount of time to recharge.
However, unhealthy INFJâs and ENFPâs, or those who are lesser developed/matured, can be a bit... extra.
One thing to consider is that as each otherâs shadow/mirror function, when an ENFP is depressed or down or just not doing well emotionally, we tend to look like INFJâs, and when INFJâs are depressed, down or just not doing well emotionally, you guys tend to look like ENFPâs. In a state of emotional rockiness, we go into our âshadow formâ as a means of coping. So inherently, each has a unique insight that is equivalent of being in the otherâs shoes emotionally.

I need people in my life, but am happier in smaller groups. And definitely need alone time to recoup. And even though I'm often keeping the convo going. I'd prefer to just sit back and listen to people talk and people watch. Often my INFJ husband is the more talkative one in a social event. I'm just loud when I do talk haha đ

ENTPs can be very difficult to spot firstly because they are one of the rarest types. Secondly, they can be the quietest person in the room and are often spending a lot of their time alone.
When an ENTP and INFJ are at their highest manifestations they are pretty much socially indistinguishable.
As an ENFP, I really appreciate everyone's positive responses about ENFPs from experience. I do agree this video is actually demonstrating more of the immature ENFPs and not the general ones.

My best friend is INFJ and I'm ENFP everyone knows well abt us. we had a heart to heart session before graduation and she said there are times she had it difficult with me but overall she was happy. I could say there are times u may irritate or won't agree with some of ENFP actions but u can't fine a perfect partner in real life. What I remember the most is she said to me, she was never open up to people until she met me and learn the importance to express her feelings / problems. Most ENFP is a good listener and could support u with all her/his heart. And if she/he is into you, they will share to you every little things in their life because he/she knows that you are someone special to them too.
As an ENFP girl I can confirm that we DO have existential angsts. But do we burden our beloved ones with them? No. Being existential doesnât mean having ârepulsiveâ vibe or something. We just DO care about the world and think that NOT EVERYTHING is just fun
As an ENFP, I definitely relate to the having a dark side, feeling spontaneous, starting projects without finishing them (because new projects are SHINY and FUN), and being overly expressive. I think the best way to sum up an ENFP girl is that she is excited about everything, sees the worlds as filled with endless possibilities, and wants to make everyone else as excited about experiencing all of the beautiful, yummy, thrill-inducing things the world has to offer as she is. She also wants you to go cliff jumping in Hawaii with her, followed by a deep conversation about whether or not the universe is based on an algorithm over an exotic cocktail make from locally sourced pineapples.

I'm an ENFP and my best friend is an INFJ, and we complement each other well. Friendships are different than relationships, of course, but I can see why these personality types go well together. My boyfriend is an ISTJ/ISFJ (he got 50/50 on thinking and feeling), and even though we couldn't be more opposite, we act very differently with each other than we do with others, and we work very well together. It'll be 3 years in a few months :)

From a humour perspective, it's pretty accurate, but in real life, I would say it's completely opposite.
Like we don't do spontaneous stuff, we keeping it in our heads, overthink it till we feel pretty stressed and then just moving on.

I would like to be the center of attention to someone who is the center of attention to me.
I would love to move to Guam, but also Thailand or Ireland or Croatia! Thereâs so much world to see.
The reason why what I said yesterday probably doesnât apply anymore is because circumstances have appeared overnight.
I personally do not welcome armpit hair unless itâs winter time.
I wrote lyrics and want to read it to someone who will be honest about the cheesy levels or if itâs actually good enough to move on to make into a song.
We have a dark side but itâs very very tucked in the back, it takes A LOT for it to come out.
I can see how Iâm similar to other personality types, but out of all of them, ENFP fits me the best.
Finally, I used to be more impulsive and would thoughtlessly rebel against the crowd when I was younger because I didnât want conformity to influence my person. I have a better grip of who I am so my impulsiveness and âsocial rebellionâ has become less frequent and more in harmony with my morals and beliefs :)

About the cheating thing, as an ENFP, I kind of understand what itâs referring to, I think. ENFPâs usually donât cheat, Iâm pretty sure, because of the strong moral compass biz. But weâre very playful and possibly externally unintentionally flirtatious. If we are in a relationship and are not at a given moment being paid enough attention we may feel inclined to seek that attention elsewhere. Disclaimer: This does not equate to cheating!
We will not go on a date with a new human and we will turn down such an offer if it arises. We will not be physical with new human. We will however be playful, like a child that makes sly and suggestive coments. We will be flirtatious. This has been an issue for me in previous relationships where I would just be very excited and would randomly say, âOh look over there! Those guys are super cute.â
And in my excitement, I would forget that I was eating with my boyfriend. For me, it meant nothing. I still loved my boyfriend. I loved him more than anything (still do). The struggle for ENFPâs is that we just feel something and express it, but that expression would not always mean for us what it means for other people. I just love everyone. I do. I love humans. And I express that love by being playful and just openly sharing my thoughts and feelings with everyone. But that is not the same exclusive and intimate love I feel for my partner. Oh no. That is something else.

I'm an INFJ and my husband (of 8 years now) is an ENFP. I was laughing so hard at this. The indecisiveness and spontaneity is so so true of my husband. It literally drives me insane. But all the good things he does and the rest of his personality complements mine so well, that I know it would be so difficult to have found a better match. He keeps me laughing and helps me be myself. And btw all the cheating and attention whoring mentioned in this description isn't like him at all. He is loyal to a fault. He loves to do things for others and bring them joy.

What I find really nice about ENFPs is their enthusiasm (among other things), INFJs tend to take life very seriously and are extremely dedicated so no matter what we're doing we are not messing around. When we enter a relationship we have to be sure it lasts, when we commit to a career path it has to be meaningful etc etc you get the picture. For that reason the enthusiasm and light-heartedness of ENFPs can be quite soothing. The funny part is that I don't really come off as very serious, I'm also quite silly and like to joke around. Agree on all you've written. My husband was my first love, left him at 21, met again at 41, love still there, moved countries for him, got married 6 years later. Best thing that happened to me. Yes, he loves to be centre of attention, but not in a 'hey, I'll be in a bad mood if you ignore me', but he'll totally take the piss of himself and clown around and make me laugh, he doesn't mind looking silly, and so helps me not take life too seriously. Ok...sometimes he does that when I'm trying to go to sleep...that can be...okay, that can be a bit annoying. And walking into his room can be traumatic at times, because...oh, just thinking about it makes me go funny. I like it tidy. But he's the best.

I wish I meet my ENFP soon. I am an INFJ male and my ex was an ENTP. However, she broke up and then ghosted me for her career. Initially I was angry and heartbroken, but I later realized that True love is not always being together, but rather doing anything for the happiness of the person you love, even if it means separating from them. I didn't want to get in the way of her dreams and so I let her go. I still love her very much and I pray to God that she has a great life ahead. After she left, I was just waiting to fall in love with another ENTP or an ENFP. But I never met anyone. It's been 4 years now, but I am still waiting for my soulmate, I hope I meet her soon. If anything, being a Fi user makes ENFPs more likely to be committed in a relationship. ENFPs often find focus when something they focus on gains personal emotional value, as much as ENTPs develop focus not just by developing Si, but finding some logical rules to live by that theyâve calculated will improve things. Iâm not saying ENFPs are incapable of having unhealthy relationships when theyâre immature, itâs just that due to Fi, if the relationship is unhealthy, itâs more likely to be due to being completely obsessive, idealizing the person, and codependency. If you ask me, and as a Fe user, I think ENTPs (and ESTPs) are more likely to cheat if theyâre immature, haha. All types can be unhealthy in all areas of life, whether in family, romance, career, health, and so on, theyâre just unhealthy in different ways. This is often the issue I have with envying or wanting to be another type. Sure, if you hypothetically became another type, youâll gain strengths, but youâll also gain their weaknesses. So donât take your talents for granted. No matter what type you are, life and relationships just take work. Everything takes work. There is no escape.
I am an ENFP and my mom is an INFJ, I know that a mother-daughter relationship is different from a romantic one, but we couldn't get along better, my sister (ENFJ) is just too similar to my mom so during a conversation between the three of us I often catch glances of my mom rolling her eyes when my sister speaks. I have an extremely close bond with my mother, though I am impulsive and chaotic, she just keeps me on track but is willing to travel the world with me and still do something fun. First, I appreciate this channel a lot. FJ - your willingness to be transparent and your insights are very helpful to many people. I'm glad folks like you are YouTubing! I can see that many others feel this way too.
Also want to say that the ENFP description generated by our ENFP friend makes me sad. It's pretty devaluing. She sounds like an ENFP who's pretty hyped up (sometimes cute, sometimes a bit much) and very early in her developmental course. For some reason, ENFP's can be pigeonholed easily into an annoying stereotype -- and when we're young we often take the lead in doing so. My words offered here are just food for thought. In my experience, development of introverted feeling and healthy principles to live by does a lot to ground ENFP's who might otherwise get caught in a Ne-Te loop of compulsive, reactive behaviors. Acting compulsively can really bang up an ENFP and cause a lot of heartache. (It's really fun to have your "loop" of unhealthy behavior consist of extraverted functions ;). But developing Fi -- and even Si and the . shadow functions -- can create real gems of people... more authentically caring and generous and focused. I hope I'm not inadvertently being harsh toward this ENFP lady who described herself on-line.
No thoughts on the INFJ-ENFP connection aside from the fact that I adore INFJ's... I am close with a couple of INFJ people and love your way of coming at life. There can be a lot of intimacy and growth in this coupling.

I'm an INFJ who has been married for 23 years to an ENFP. He's a perfect match for me - my weaknesses are his strengths and vice-versa. He puts up with me and my idiosyncracies with an unbelievable amount of patience and love. I should mention that he was raised in a really stable home with ISFJ and ISTJ parents. They supported him unconditionally and didn't really "get" him but are nonetheless proud of him. He has almost no family baggage which helps a lot in our relationship (because I came to the relationship with a few suitcases). As for the stereotypical ENFP behavior mentioned in your video... much of that is hyperbole, but has some basis in truth. I've found that there is a whimsical, fun, silliness to my husband that is sometimes at best eye-rollingly cute, and at worst annoying. He can be incredibly charming and adept at socializing at parties which comes in very handy for me when I'm feeling overwhelmed. He used to have a hard time committing to jobs/projects but has grown out of that over the years. He is a really hard worker and has excelled in his career due in no small part to his personality and diplomatic skills. He's a great father, but sometimes a bit inconsistent in his parenting. I provide long-term vision for our children and he is definitely more in the moment in terms of discipline which is challenging at times. He does require a lot of attention which I find kind of amusing because he reminds me of a little kid. His enthusiasm and boundless energy are a source of inspiration for me because I also get bored easily and love a new adventure (planned out in meticulous detail in advance). He has a consistently positive attitude and is usually up for any activity which I love because it motivates me to live in the moment and enjoy life. He knows how tightly wound I am but accepts it and still thinks I'm great. There have only been a handful of times when I've seen him down or depressed - it never lasts long because he figures out how to solve the issue and doesn't dwell on negativity for long. All in all, I can't say definitively that INFJs and ENFPs are perfect for each other -- It truly depends on so many external factors. I can only say that I feel like I've won the relationship jackpot with my ENFP spouse.

From an INFJ perspective who's dating an ENFP... Well, I'm not one to compare anyone to stereotypes, but I'll tell you a bit about why ENFP is my favorite type to be with and why the dynamic works out so well.
First of all, (and most obvious of all), they have the same function stack order, but flip-flopped functions. INFJ (Ni, Fe, Ti, Se) ENFP (Ne, Fi, Te, Si). I think that in and of itself helps us to be balanced in the way we think and how we act.
I notice my Fe is always bouncing off people to tell me how to feel. On the inside though, my true self is a happy, carefree, goofy, and weird person. That's exactly what an ENFP is like most of the time (at least from my experience). This is a very good thing because whenever I'm with an ENFP, my Ni and Fe aren't working hard to read into a person's feelings. With the ENFP I am able to relax knowing they are going to carry the same emotional weight as I do.
In my opinion, ENFP's can also be very quick to forgive especially when you know they truly love you, and they can be very dedicated to just you. This is a quality of the INFJ that we desire to see in somebody else as well. ENFP's, correct me if I'm wrong but most of the time you guys are able to forgive mistakes where other types wouldn't.
The only person I have to contrast the ENFP dating experience to, was my only other boyfriend, my ex who is an ENTP. He was depressed a lot of the time and my Ni and Fe felt like they were in overdrive.
Whenever Fe meets Fe, it's at least a bit better than when Fi meets Fi. But Fe + Fi is like a dream. ENFP's just seem to have that carefree spirit to them and I find that so amazing. They are able to express the emotional potential that the INFJ possesses.
My parents both have Fi and it's like they are always headbutting each other. INFJ's are the most adaptable yet we have the ability to speak up if someone is leading us down a bad path. I think with an ENFP, they are willing to listen to our concerns. They might not act accordingly right away, but if they are serious enough about their relationship, they will desire what is best for both of you. I know there can be a difference between the types as male and female, but ENFP guys are amazing from a girl's perspective.

We've been Inseparable ever since. I think the only thing you have to be careful of is that you both tend towards not wanting to argue. I have an infj sister. We can talk for hours and itâs effortless. My sister seems to put on facades around most people, but not me. However, I find that I want and give more affection than she does. We also deal with strong emotions quite differently.
Saoirse it is true, we are different and it is very good that you realize that. Also the way to show affection is different. I get overwhelmd sometimes by the happy go lucky behaviour. Extroverts irradiate alot of energy and it drains the energy of me, quality time instead of quantity is for me the secret.
