Been gigging this exact rig for about 2 years now. Wouldn't use anything else. I love it. Even gigging pubs I have my output just over half way, so powerful!

Agreed - a bass head demo with a bass player that plays the most obnoxiously treble bass possible. Got no idea how the amp actually sounds.

ive got the ashdown jj 500 brilliant but its connected to a warwick 400 8 ohm cab. i have to have the amp on full blast to play a small pub and the meter does not move do i need to use an ashdown cab?

Hi, I've bought a abm 500 evo II with 600W 4x10 cab. now I want to connect another 1x15 300W to my amp. but the 15"cab doesn't have a parallel output, and I have only 1 speakon out & 1 jack output from the amp. How can I connect the 2 cabs in parallel? greetz

Can I use this with a guitar 2x12cabinet ? Or straight into a speaker simulator or even Direct into my audio interface ?
Hey, Lars. Thanks so much for commenting. While you can use the DI out on these straight into a mic input, I would not recommend running this through a guitar cabinet. The speakers in guitar cabs, as opposed to bass cabs, are often voiced to not extend as low into the frequency spectrum, and do have a lower wattage than most bass speaker cabinets.

In the video I'm using the Ashdown ABM EVO III 550 watts head.
the combo version with this head has 8 ohm so will have less watts than 575??
Indeed it does, you have to add another 8ohm cab to get that 575w
Can I use this head with an 8 ohm 410 Rumble cabinet?

What is with all the crap slap playing. Not everyone wants to hear that style. You cannot get an accurate feel for the sound of any amp with that technique. Any amp can sound like that with that style of play.

Very good amp however built in china. I think sound demo would be rather better with state of the art Jazz Bass Fender or Music Man Stingray. The references.
Get with it. The stuff made in China today is as good as anything made anywhere.

Agreed. I've got a GK 4x10 MBX cab made in China and it kicks. Run my Ashdown head through it. I also heard somewhere that Chinese production is raising in cost because the new generation doesn't actually want to become factory workers. Uh oh

You don't hear anything "better" using a Speakon jack. Cable is cable, no matter what jack you use or how much power you're pushing. Get it straight, fool.
The octaver is a pointless gimmick that has no value.
