Wow it's like they read my mind when layed those riffs from Bringin on heartbreak and Gods of War. Satchel also mentioned that first riff had a chord ending that Chris Cornell used in his music and I always thought they sounded a bit grungy even though it's hair metal. I feel a bit vindicated now haha. I mean Sabbath and Van Halen influenced Hair Metal and I guess Hair Metal musically influenced Grunge to some degree, especially those haunting open chords.

If its helps, i sang with a SM58 for years and decided to upgrade to the Beta58, and man what a difference, it takes far less effort to get this to sound good in terms of vocals, its easy to get the higher output and dynamics you need with less strain, im choosing the beta everytime, I went back to the SM58 a few times but i miss the sound of the beta now, so that's my choice going forward. After a good bit of trying both, i can tell which mic i used in certain recordings now just by listening, there's a fair bit of difference once you hear them side by side. On a boom arm the beta is also awesome just for streamers and so on, super crisp but keep in mind its pick up pattern is very narrow, good on stage but maybe not so good for other applications where you move around.

So, what is a good option for a studio kit for practicing and having a kit available when drummers come over? I used to play but now I play guitar, I want a kit to have and practice on but also for practice with others, recording or song writing and development. Am I better off buying a used older model that gets me a higher quality kit like a higher end Roland or Yamaha or to go new with a budget kit like one of these?

I've had MANY loopers, three this year alone..... boss my favorite. I've purchased two RC-5 about a year apart. This second one seems to have a volume issue with the drum tracks being excessivly LOUD! since I never experienced the problem with the first RC-5 ..... I'm gluessing the second one might be damaged? I have tried finding a global volume control with no avail. I ran a factory reset twice, with no change. I hate to sell it and pass on the problem to someone else, I also hate to take a $175 dollar loss! Any thoughts?

Part of me is blown away and part of me wishes the Focusrite suits had not forced some "segment differentiation" and marketing/sales priorities onto the design. This and Take 5 easily could have (and should have IMHO) been done as desktop modules. Then at the same price or maybe even less for either include MPE (no cost), modern LFOs (fade in/out, phase, "N" shot - no cost as they are digital), bi-timbrality (some cost), and a 4 quadrant multiplier/voice as another filter mix source instead of the joke digital effect (bit of cost there). Never going to happen as that would have stepped all over the 6 voice cash cows. As is this accidentally turned out a bit too well for the profit above all owners; anyone getting an OB-6 over this needs their head examined.

I don't mind digital mixers at all, but doesn't that kind of defeat the point of a rotary mixer? I'm probably just out of the loop, but I feel like the whole point of rotary mixers is the audiophile thing
