What features would you like to see incorporated into future PolyBrute synths? Let us know in the comments, and don’t forget to stop by Sweetwater for an in-depth look at the Arturia PolyBrute 12 👉 sweetwater.sjv.io/Arturia-PolyBrute-12
There are a couple of things I'd like to see in a PolyBrute. First would be the ability to route an oscillator directly to the amp without having to go through one of the filters. And, I'd love a third oscillator. I've got Noire now, which I love, and if I had the funds, I'd upgrade to the 12-voices.
Interested in a full length ribbon controller so you can press anywhere on it and it will match the note it's above.
Do either of the PolyBrutes have fully featured microtuning capabilities?
I want the feature where there's one in my room right now
Nothing additional is necessary, it’s perfect. 21st century’s flagship, a modern CS-80. It is worth its price.
You know what could be good for the masses? If Arturia came up with a midi controller (61 or 88 keys) that has this keybed with FullTouch, but with much lower pricetag of course. That was a hot cake.
Sweetwater we need Daniel fisher to do a deep dive of this thing
But this demo is also genius
An album is what he should do. Wait, I never actually looked to see if he has music on Spotify! Here I go haha
This is THE synth of 2024, I think.
I mean . . . the pursuit of "thee" supersynth can honestly be ended with this one.
@@stillphil Synths haven't even fully expoloited virtual reality yet. Neurolinks combined with intravenous titration of drugs is the future of THE supersynth. Synths might give you chills, but nobody has overdosed on synth. . .YET!
Maybe… it’s not a synth with much of its own character, not to my ears anyway, but seems to do a lot of somewhat usual sounds very well. I think this synth would serve someone well who doesn’t have many synths and just wants one to do a lot.
@@GTChris I hope Arturia or someone else releases a standalone Morph pad just like the one in Poly 12 or better. Would love to pair it with my Hydrasynth + VSTs. (Hydra doesn't come close to these sounds but plenty of softsynths do)
@AdamsOlympia: You might want to try the Touche from Expressive E, thats likely the one Arturia tried to copy. It doesn't do the Chaos Pad x/y thing but you can move the whole pad left and right instead, which is a much more controlled motion, especially as you are concentrating on playing with the right at the same time.
Came for the synth, stayed to watch Daniel COOK
Came to watch Daniel cooking, stayed for the synth ! 😂
Came for the synth, ended up watching cook, yhen got cooked myself watching more poly vids
Came to watch Daniel cook. As soon as I heard this had dropped.
Love watching Daniel work
Awesome. I'd love to see a MIDI controller version of this- just the keys, touch-strip and Morphe. Or just a smaller 6-voice version with the same expressiveness
Hydrasynth Keyboard + Expressive E Touche might get pretty close. Thinking about buying Touche to pair with my Hyrdra Keys if Arturia doesn't release a controller like this. Osmose + Touche might even exceed it.
Great Demo as always Daniel! PB12 sounds amazing!
Came for the Synth, Stayed for Daniels excellent Ambient Session!
Shout out to Nitish Kulkarni and Brenden Murphey! Studio is coming along nicely, thanks for your support guys!
I'd love to see colored key like red lamp reflection @8:06 😎
daniel makes every synth perfect. amazing synth
Amazing sounds! Great work Daniel! I must say, I had heard some demos which featured less than stellar sounds. You have changed all of that! You’ve shown the huge pallet of possibilities! Thanks so much!
Some freaking unbelievable sounds in this demo. Just wow.
Beautiful melodies and vibes besides the instrıment…👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🧿
Its as if Jean Michel Jarre were a synth salesman, and made system demos so good I play them over and over again...
The finest modern analog poly synth at the moment?
Of course the genius of Daniel Fischer at the controls make most any synth sound amazing. Boy, this sure looks fun, though!
Outside of an Oberheim with a modern feature set, or a more affordable Moog poly, THIS is what I’ve been hoping for. The Polybrute is one of, if not the best sounding modern poly (I don’t count the OBX8 in that list because it’s all vintage circuits) and the feature set is second to maybe the Moog One. But for me the 6 voices weren’t enough. Certainly a bargain when compared to the Trigon6 P6 and OB6. But that synth deserved more and it finally has it. This is phenomenal. The only things I would change are hard buttons for the matrix control for added durability, and a full keyboard length ribbon. But that’s just personal presence. The synth needs nothing more. It’s perfect. The end.
I’ve just started my synth and modular journey and want to day that Daniel Fisher has inspired me so much already. Amazing work man, thank you.
Daniel 🐟er........this is going to be good
Need a Noir edition.
They’ll release it in 4 years, then release the 24 voice with sampling and digital engines 9 months later.
I gotta say that this video is much much nicer and inspiring than your regular videos that week one knob at a time (though I like to see what every knob and filter can do, at times it can be very annoying at times-no offence)!!!! To showcase a fully modified sound that shows what the synth can do or create, along with your skills provide excellent entertainment and like I said, Inspiring!!! Thanks for this video!!! This video is actually making me think about picking one of these up!!! Thanks!!!
Waouh, un super son, j'adore !!!
Daniel's noodling is a sheer delight. As for Arturia, now THATS a company that actually listens to its base. More voices--done. Polyaftertouch and then some--done. Robust partnering software--done. Touché Arturia! ;)
They invented an entirely new keybed technology for this (and patented it). Arturia really went the extra mile on the PolyBrute 12.
Just when I was finished buying synths. Wow!
Rule NO.1.....you're never finished:)...EVER!!
Well doggone it. I just picked up the U-D-O Super Gemini and this comes out the day after it arrives ! Well I may have to get the PolyBrute 12 to go along with the SG and 3rd Wave. Love the color too as it makes seeing the controls so much easier. Great playing and tweaking as always.
23:28 is an almost insta-buy for me
Best UI ever. Love the potential for creation and performance.
I hoped to hear more than bright/harsh/brittle pads, film scorishy, distant...saturated in effects, etc....
Need to hear more raw, upfront stuff, if it's capable. Just not sold on the sound yet.
20:31 - Dark Side of the Moon! Awesome demo! It would be really cool to see follow-up videos where you discuss your experience and opinion of the gear that you demo.
Hi johnpaulpatton. As usual, I will be shooting a Deep Dive for the second video. It has so many things to talk about that I just wanted people to hear it first. -_Daniel_
Yep:)! Blurring some serious boundaries for the senses…Does this synthesizer sound that great (obviously, yes) or are your electronic synthesizer skills that awesome? More your abilities…magical for sure! Thank you, Mr.Fisher
Man, it’s beautiful. The mk1 will keep me busy for years but dang, this would be amazing to partner the two.
On the other demo page I suggested why hasn't this full touch MPE technology made it into the most obvious gear? A keytar. It's this exactly what it is for to express as if it's a guitar or saxophone etc. No matter how cool it sounds or plays, until you can play it like a guitar you still won't stand out in the crowd. Arturia needs to make a keytar including with the ribbon slider.
That is an attractive looking synthesizer, helps that the sound of it is sublime too, the its played by Daniel Fisher just to top it all off!
You are correct that Daniel Fisher's attractiveness tops it all off.
Pretty remarkable
Can this emulate your amazing Pro 800 video Daniel? 6 voices hard left, 6 voices hard right for that magical true stereo sound field.
Yes, Stereo Layer mode
I'll ask him to put that in the deep dive video.
This is a synth that's worth the price tag. I feel like we're not just paying for the brand name and legacy, but the sound and innovation here.
Well said
Nice reverb!👍🏿
DF is on my synth Mount Rushmore. I hope you sell these presets and make a little scratch for yourself!
Hi JonManness. Thanks for the kind words. Everything I played on this video was a factory preset, and then I tweaked as I played.
(I can't help myself).
-_Daniel_
Brilliant. Thank you.
Great demo , thanks 👍🏻💖
Great vid as always! 🔊✨✨✨ im suprised they haven’t released a system 8 style synth that has full v collection. I can’t wait to see what will be at super booth this weekend. Dyin to see new moog and Oberheim teo 5
Oh. I get it now.😍😍😍 (sells everything to be able to buy one)
Epic polyphonic portamento 11.20
Thanks for the video, @sweetwater! Would love to see Daniel play and do an overview of the new Roland Fantom EX. So much has changed since the Fantom launched in 2019.
Much love to Daniel, always excited watching his presentations! This monster somehow sounds more engaging and compelling than the more expensive Moog One to me.
It is certainly more expressive due to the keybed.
You read my mind, I think this synth sound more richer than Moog One and is cheaper.
I would never leave my bedroom with this
That's what she said! 🤣
I'm getting Vangelis vibes from some of this 😊
nice layout
Got to get this one
When does it come out?
12 String Analog Synth.
Still wish this came with CV in/outputs
8:10 The colony of Slippermen!😂
There's no who, why, what or when. 🤣
One of my all-time favorite albums. -_Daniel_
@@sweetwaterMine too.
It’s an extremely inspiring synth. I own polybrute 6 and that’s the thing I like from it the most. Other things to improve is the keyboard, knobs, faders quality… I don’t know if the new one has improved that
There is polyphonic aftertouch, combined with what they call FullTouch, which i pretty much equivalent to the Osmose pressure dimension (you get sound from even from very little touch up to the full pressure length).
In comparison, the original PolyBrute has "basic" aftertouch, that they improved via software update to what they call paraphonic aftertouch (aka you can set it up to activate on the last played note only, which is already quite good tbh).
@@Helvanicthank you! And do you feel that new keys, knobs, faders are better that before (I feel the original ones not premium)
Knobs, faders, buttons etc. seem to be the same or very similar quality than on PB6, maybe a little better than the first PB6 specimen.
Amazing! I do wonder, if money was not an issue, should I get the Arturia Polybrute 12 or the Expressive E Osmose?
Its a miracle ❤❤❤❤🎉
Please Arturia bring Full Touch to Keylab Pro series.
Can i check it out when you're done???🙏🏽
Nicotine beige, took in a lot of smoke, that's why it sounds so warm! Are the keys full-size (23 mm for white keys and 9 mm for black keys), or are they truncated to 22/8 like in Polybrute 6?
Can‘t measure mm, but the total keybed width is 85cm in both PB and PB12.
"Nicotine beige"...🤣.
Yeah I think a Noir version would be nice.
I'm unrivaled expression? The Expression E has a similar full touch keybed, but there every single key has left to right pitchbend as well... It seems to rival quite well. 😀
But this one is going to be easier to program, certainly.
a question to dear Mr. Fisher: are these no-talking Demo sets tediously planned and written beforehand, or is it more of a "I sit down and play around" thing?
I cannot imagine the latter, and I'd lack the ideas of the first possibility.
Kudos, I like!
Hi bernds. I honestly have no idea what I'm going to play until I've heard the first new note of each preset that I've randomly selected. My primary consideration is that each new performance starts in a different key signature. Afterwards, I'll throw out some songs for not being interesting enough, and I might shorten a song if needed. But, much of what I played is in the video.
I feel that randomly selecting presets (and then tweaking like crazy) is a fair way to experience a new synth. -_Daniel_
@@sweetwater That is impressive, especially for someone like me who lacks the creativity and skill.
Thank you for answering, Daniel!
🔥🔥🔥
What the Trigon was supposed to be and stopped the necessity for a Matrix 12 reissue by Oberheim
6:50 😮
That sound gave me chills.
Any idea if this can take external midi over usb?
Does this come in 88key, maybe fully weighted keybed and can you layer, import/input other sounds sources, and/or mix digital and analog synths (vst's and other plug-ins) with this????
👍i LoVe !
💙⚪❤
This synthesizer would be the right one for a movie score and I've read comments that a lot of people compare it to the Yamaha CS80. So, who wants to step in the footsteps of Vangelis?
I liked the video before to watch it.
8:10 love the sudden Asian vibes
Don't know about a deep dive because isn't this the same as the other previous models except 12 voices and new key action? Loopop does one on what's new also. Arturia repurposed the envelopes for whenever you're using the full touch function.
Man, this looks so cool! I have to say, I'm not really in love with the sounds I'm hearing though!
I was wrong, I was so wrong !!!!!!!
Love it but…The morph pad seems enormous and redundant. You have poly AT, “FullTouch” plus a morph knob… lose the redundant pad and make a 73 key version!

Weight : 50.7lbs It SOUNDS lke it weighs even MORE.
My "monophonic" Matrixbrute wighs 40lbs. Lol. Makes 12 voices at 51lbs. sound reasonable.
@@funkingitup1805 It punches above its weight.
Sweetwater do you have any idea how good Daniel is? If so Double his salary! Now!
This synth is in 2024 what the CS-80 was in 1976
Hi user-nk2cc5gr7g. Yes, the PolyBrute can make electronic percussion sounds as the PolyBrute has a Noise generator that not only has White Noise and Pink Noise, but is completely sweepable between White Noise and Red Noise. -_Daniel_
@@sweetwater Oh, that's cool. Didn't realize that.
want
They still demo with dubstep wobbles lmao xD
хороший аппарат для фильмов ужасов
that Beige box is giving 90s PC, not a good look 😂
Chacun ses goûts !
Ok whatever I just got a Polybrute a month ago. 😅
Me too, march, but it's damn good and not the same price, even if so appealing
$4000
Okay… don’t get me wrong…. It’s absolutely stunning, beautiful.
But I was hoping they would have produced a more affordable polysynth, like 5-6 voice microbrute type thing with way way simpler controls.
This is all I ever wanted was someone to make an analog synth instead of the cheap toy reissues. If Arturia can do it then why can't Roland, Yamaha and Korg just.... 🧐🤔🤨😐😡 Nevermind
This might be the upcoming new release my gear advisor eluded to. I have the 6 voice. I'm not sure this is gonna make it onto a rack here... This , in my opinion, is another corporate screwover to consumers, whereas this 12 voice could / should have been the first release of the Polybrute. Seriously Arturia???
sadly... I agree... 😕... on the other hand, 4000 €/$ for this one, versus 2000 for the polybrute 6... that may explain why they didn't release it first...
I think you'll come around when you better understand that this is quite different in several ways. It is also a $4000 synth versus a $2700 synth.
@funkingitup1805 just because it cost more, is more expensive, doesn't automatically make it better. It may well be a nice synth, but a 6 voice card added for an additional 1700 or so, really??Any way, we will see, but this is the corporations once again milking the consumer, just my opinion, but one that is based on seeing what companies do,, how they only marginally improve or add to a product, and say it's the greatest, ,, like I said we will see, AS for this video, Daniel once again demonstrates this as no one else can. Thanks Daniel.
@@tommyg5095 polyphonic aftertouch was really difficult to implement on a synth. didnt sequential circuits go bankrupt in the early 80s
because of the SCI T8?
@@electronicmusician the ASM Hydrasynth Deluxe is under 2k (or was when I got mine) full poly aftertouch, ribbon controller.
Just a bunch of noise. It's like putting someone that knows nothing about baking into a bakery and tell him to come up with something. MAKE MUSIC! These synths are great, but for God's sake, DO SOMETHING! Also hate when something just comes out and they are talkiking about future features. Jesus Christ.
Troll alert.
This is probably the most musical demo of the PB 12 I’ve heard so far. As are DF’s other videos so I can’t understand your comment. Most other videos undersell a breathtakingly good synth, however this is the reverse.
