Ashdown located in my hometown of Maldon/Heybridge Essex ... as were Trace Elliot before moving to Maldon from Witham, just a stones throw up the road. Bass players such as Martin Glover ( Youth ) of Killing Joke and Geezer Butler, Black Sabbath are players of Ashdown Amps. Great amps ... as were Trace.
I use nothing else.
I've the Evo 3 575 head and its superb.Heard a local band recently in a big pub and the bass player had the same head with two 4x10 cabs and i could still hear him at the other end of the pub.Excellent sound and very loud.I loved it.

I absolutely love my ABM EVO III. Built like a tank and thunderous! Could only imagine the EVO IV just improves on it. Love the extra EQ .
This guy is simply fantastic on bass... it's great to see how good you can get.. and how much work I've got! Great amp too...

I used to have a Ashdown ABM-JE-RPM-1 before i moved to Warwick and it was amazing, I've still got some Ashdown pedals and they are great too.
2:45 I play an ABM 900 EVO II. It has four fans in the back pushing air through the front of the amp. First practive I had with that thing I wore a jacket for the whole session because I was freezing my butt off sitting in front of that beast. I was louder than the rest of the band and the cold breeze just wouldn't stop. I would have no problem running in this thing at full volume in the Sahara desert.

Just listening to this on my lap top - what a waste of time these lap top speakers are for this type of video!! Can I suggest that you only listen to the All About the Bass videos either through headphones or through some proper speakers!!

Yep. And the huge majority of viewers will be watching on mobile devices or computers with small desktop speakers. Hence my common complaint with these types of shows that any subtle nuance in tone is completely lost. Unless you take the time (as you typically do) to describe what you are hearing and offer an opinion these types of show are kinda wasted. I have come to respect your opinions and know when to take your comments on board and when to say 'ah not for me'. Trying to make an assessment based purely on the compressed MPEG4 audio is pointless. Another show I used to listen to made the high quality AIFF files available to download so you could listen on better equipment and make a more informed judgement.
I doubt anyone who gives a shit about audio and instrument gear would ever use a shitty laptop speaker LOL

Ashdown make brilliant Pro Quality Amps. I own 2 of them the Superfly and the Route Master 800. It weighs a lot less than the Fridge l used to run my basses out of with a boatload of on board eq.

DAVE's done some stuff with the Ashdown BassAmps channel, including a Toska playthrough. But it would be great to see him on the Anderton's channel
Excellent! Nice work guys! Great review on a great product Veeeeery tempted for sure :-D Would still love to see this Bass Fly Rig that the lovely people people at Tech 21 have brought out! Just a suggestion?! An ultimate all in one effects board on the fly! Very interested as to what it sounds like on a proper bass rig such as this one?! Does it lose bottom end with some of the effects etc.. these Bass Fly Rgs could be the way forward! Simple but effective! Who knows?!

Question for the Captain: I see you play a Hot Rod really often, do you practice with it at home? if you do, how to you get it down to practice volume and not "piss of the entire house" volume? :)
Nope I don't use a Hot Rod at home - it's way too loud for that! I use a few different amps at home, including the Blues Jnr, but the one I use most is the Blackstar HT1R

just one question, did you get the bass of the shelve? ( the frett rattle is very obvious !)
maybe a good idea to send off an instrument to the tech and get it tuned and optimized so no rattles and so on are audible?
maybe i'm a perfectionist soundwise....
Ashdown in Australia make a whole shitload of shifordable amps, guitars and every accessory known to mankind .
Loads of beginners start with Ashdown in Oz.

Didn't expect to get hit with a rhythm stick watching this vid....
Id prefer if your DEMOS were the mic'd CAB and NOT teh DI.. The Di is deceiving when demoing an amp.. Id rather hear what the cab is doing with the amp driving it .The Mixture of DI and Mic is ehhhhhhh still not hearing the power amp doing its thing .. That bass sounds crappy too. Maybe PICK ONE BASS like a jazz bass of a P bass and Stick with it for ALL of your demos so there is continuity

Sorry, to have to be the one to tell you, but if that's your experience then I'm afraid the fault doesn't lie with the amps.
Im sorry i seem to have hit a sore point for u there but even mark gooday the maker of the amps has said they arent made to make a lot of versitile tones.

There isn't a single ABM demo video that makes it sound anything other than sterile and bland. The valve drive also always sounds bad. The amps are just ok.
