This is an interesting video. Well done. Cheers from a sunny and warm UK.
Hehe thank you. I think you got my weather and I got yours - cold and rainy ⛈ 🤣
I am going to make myself a work shed soon. I would like to see a video on how to do the roof. I guess you can change the pitch of the roof as I dont want it to stuck up too far because of neighbours. Thanks Tomasz
Hi,
Once again great video! Would you make a video on how to create a roof addition, like when a roof turns 90 degrees or when you have porches that come out the roof etc?
If there will be enough interest from my viewers then yes but that will happen July / August time I think
More interesting information to store in the old head ... will have to delete some old stuff though to make room 👍
Lol I can see I'm not the only one with this problem 😅
Fantastic tutorial, Tomasz! Thanks! 😃
Next month my father is going to need to go to the farm and probably will need to make a gate there... (It's a long and confusing history. 😬)
Either way, he's going to take my circular saw and speedy square with him, so I'm showing him your video to help him there. 😊
Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Cool, always wanted to make a gate but got no clients for one and I don't need one. However I'll be making some doors to my workshop 😅All the best mate
Well explained Tomasz
Thank you kindly
Thanks!
Hi I am from South Africa. My name is Ismail. Is the ridge the only way of joining the two rafters together is there no easier way?
I think this is quite simple. You can try making a jig or something but this is quite straight forward
Does the metric speed square has the same rules for pitch as imperial one? imperial has rise/run for 12 inch. what rules for pitch has the metric one?
They should work the same
Hi great video! I have a question about the birds mouth cut out, i was always told not to cut over 1/3 of the timber as it loses its strength? Yours look to be 2/3?
You are correct ... Tomasz has only cut that out to match the upright he has ... the cut can be made any size to suit the application 👍
As Barry said 👍
@@barry.w.christie ok cheers :) i just wasn’t sure if the 1/3 rule applied to birds mouths cz the part thats cut out if being back filled with wood anyway?
