Y’all are lifesavers nobody really posts videos of them working on this car specifically or I’m just unlucky at finding what I need but anyway thank you !

This is by far the best instructional on replacing this sensor, have looked through many and this is on the spot what I needed! Thanks! I have a code 065 for this sensor and the car runs really rough when cold, and also low on power when accelerating hard when warm. Previous owner had the opposite problem and replaced the valve with a cheap $25 "Ridex" one. I have read that you really need to get the original one from BMW. I'm installing a $40 Hella-brand, should be OEM original, hoping it will at least get this code cleared. After that on to the rest (All 4 O2 sensors throwing "value too low"...

would a bad cam position sensor cause any other codes like and control pressure solenoid (trans. code)?

  • @mrstamped1316

What would one recommend if the VANOS Solenoid doesn't wanna play ball and break loose ? Because that's the issue i'm having. I don't wanna risk rounding the solenoid entirely but constantly trying to break it with an Adj. Wrench. I even took the liberty to order the specialty socket to remove the solenoid but now face the issue of space to even get the socket on... Any advice would help because, the only two choices i see is to remove the VANOS unit entirely because the solenoid is attached to it - or remove the Intake Mani. and use the specialty tool . 🤔🤔

Is removing the negative side of the battery cable necessary? I dont see that function on any other of the CZcams videos.

+Lil Honda97 We wouldn't be able to diagnose an issue like that here, you may want to have a local mechanic take a look at it. Thanks for checking us out! 1aau.to/m/Shop-1AAuto-c

@@3ManFunny So ? What happen ? Did you bought an OE or Genuine BMW sensor ?

Obd2 shows a p1347 feul cutOff code. Other possibles for that series of code are faulty injectors, coils, harness. Additionally have a look at the tensioner pulley if its bouncing its bad.

@@jeremypowers4647 e46 starts up and immediately dies. Fuel pump primes fuses okay. Could it be intake cam sensor that is causing this?
