their designs are SO UGLY. why did they give them hair. why do none of their faces look like wolves? why is kates mom a karen wolf caricature? ugliest movie ever.... and then they made more. why is their body fur short like a weird fur skin suit. sheep and wolves designed better wolves than alpha and omega, and sheep and wolves cant even be called wolves

As a casual furry, this is actually pretty damn accurate. To be fair, I think the 2d concept art looked sick though.
My main problem with Alpha and Omega is that they shouldn't have turned it into a franchise

I was working for a daycare when this movie came out. We took the school aged children so see it in theaters as a treat…..you can imagine my face was in permanent cringe during the entire movie…..one child had the nerve to ask me “Ms Ashleigh why the wolves dancing so nasty” and I just quietly panicked and said “watch the movie”
I’m sorry but it makes me laugh hard just imagining hearing the poor kid go “why the wolves dancing so nasty”😂😂😂

More has been discovered about wolf behaviour since the film came out. This movie does not replicate that entirely.

I watched this movie as a kid and I liked it, then I saw it again when I was older and was like "why did I liked this?!'
Many people think that the Alpha and Omega films are trash which on some level even i'm inclined to think so, but at the same time i didn't think they were that bad. i mean the other films could've been done better especially animation quality wise and the first film may be average at best but it's still good in it's own right.

That too since I totally blame universal studios for milking the frick out of the land before time when it doesn't need to be a franchise

So I'm not a furry, but my favorite scenes were the first howling scene and Lily and Garth's howling scene. I also took Lily's howling lesson to heart.

Everybody’s joking about how alpha and omega was some kids furry awakening but it was for me fr. I remember watching the movies as a kid and wanting to be a wolf so damn bad, everything went downhill from there
I didn't watch these movies but even as a child I was having dreams about being a wolf with a wolf girlfriend way before I even knew furries were a thing.

For me, this film was both good and horrible. Looking back on it, I just laugh at the fact that the movie throws logic and realism out the window for money, it didn't work in the long run.
Meanwhile, I believe this film didn't make a furry and never will due to me watching films that do a much better job at that (like the lion king) prior to seeing this one.
I did right a mini fanfic in class for a narrative at school afterwards, so I guess this film did have an impact on me as kid to where I got obsessed with it a bit. GOD HELP ME

Welcome to another episode of movies I watched as a kid and completely forgot about
This movie was one of three animated movies that my two youngest brothers watched on repeat throughout the summer of 2011--the other two being the first "How to Train Your Dragon" and the first "Rio". Especially the latter. I could not go a single day hearing songs from it coming from the living room or even walking out of my room seeing scenes from it. They were in high school at the time and I was 19 going on 20, so I found it embarrassing and very frustrating for them to do nothing but watch those instead of watching literally anything else because my family does not believe in variety. Then again, I did watch "The Incredibles" on repeat at 14 (something that my mom did not approve of because she was one of those people who believed that animation is just for kids) and other films, so I have no right to complain.
Atleast How to Train Your Dragon and Rio are good animated movies, why were they watching this for?

I watched theses movies as a kid and loved them. In hindsight, they're not that great, but I have this weird nostalgia about the first movie for some reason. Probably because I was like 8 when I my mom got it on DVD and put on for me and my siblings to watch. Seeing them again though in this video... holy crap is it weird to see them stand on their hind legs occasionally!!!
