Wow, actually awesome free stuff. Good job Paradox
🤡🤡
😅so updates on ck 3 dlc are free now, so eventually will have to pay 😂
Watch your credit cards...you might get hit and not even know it.
u mean shit that should have been in the base game
good job paradox??? this should be the bare minimum. this says a lot about paradox players.
This is one of those games that you let sit in your library for a couple of years and when you play it again it feels like an actual sequel
I wonder if that has anything to do with Paradox releasing new content for the game in a, previously not-seen, slow release rate.
I play it for a couple hundred hours with each expansion, come back each year to try the new content and achievements. Definitely a worthy successor so far, I am excited to see what else they come up with for the future.
I guess if you wanna pay 80 dollars for all the dlc the moment you come back. I’d say that’s kinda just the same as buying a new game.😂😂
@@FunnyDude119 subscription.
@@greenkn1ght609 There is no subscription for ck3
I'm so happy to have stances back! I miss the council opinions actually feeling important like it did in CK2
Really excited for the special buildings map mode. Thought it would never happen
Right? No more using maps found online to find the juicy provinces.
What an amazing update, can't wait for this and the DLC!
So much to do in peace time now, mods for this will be amazing. Cannot wait to see how Game of thrones mod will use this.
Big Robert's gonna get gored by a pig xD
@@Revens1 That can just happen without mods
I can't wait for Crusader Kings in 5 years and beyond! Truly is getting beefed with great content! ❤
Actually kinda hyped by this, can't wait to see what it all has to offer.
So nice to have all these features in the game. Good work Paradox!
Wow, paradox. Incredible work. Youre a one of a kind game studio
Vassal stances will make things have a lot more depth. I hope I will a sense of my characters faction at court and RP better
It's all starting to come together now mechanics wise, great changes overall. Keen to see how all these new systems get expanded in time
my god the map mode is the best thing you have ever added!!!!
Being a regent sounds amazing now! Ruling from the shadows and stuff... Omg, I can't wait to take the kingdom from my liege as a regent.
add_trait incapable *(my ledgers ID)*
I was terrified that the travel system and reworked activities were exclusive to the DLC
Cheapskate
@@stephenjames227 not everyone is stupid enough to waste hundred of $ on a game, thankfully
@@derusername7218 it’s 30 dollars
@@stephenjames227 Not really. They're just too basic/essential to put a price tag on.
@@derusername7218 Yes, because thoughts and prayers will keep a game in development for years.
4 days Remaining, cant keep the wait!!!
The regency mechanics look great, very glad they’re in the free update
Snap with the official collab, congratulations man, you were always the best content for this game. Always happy to see you’re at it and thriving!
awesome! Fleshing out the original map gameplay and features is the way to go
I have my birthday on may 12, this is more than I could ask for. Thanks, Paradox!
I only have one more wish for this dlc. And thats squires, the ability to have young boys in your court that are special to you for some reason
Making them a squire so they can become one of your knights when they grow up.
Now I usually lose sight of the kids because when there stats suck they get used for breeding only.
Edit: jeeyz guys, Some of you made me laugh and I realise my words chosen are maybe not the smartest but I will stick with it.
Every part of your comment sounds completely messed up. Read it out loud. You sound like a pdf- file.
That seems more in the area of Wards & Wardens to me.
You can just do this yourself in game right now.
Squires sounds something that Wards & Wardens DLC will do.
They have a button to put people important to you (of any age or gender, not just young boys) onto the list so you can check on them at any time and not forget them.
niceee they finally integrated that wonderful barbershop mod into the game
Honestly very hyped for this DLC and update - genuinely all seems great! I'm holy fury levels of hype!
That's a lot of free stuff, exciting! (I already got the season pass though haha)
I'm pretty sure the season pass only includes Royal court, Northen Lords and The Fate of Iberia DLCs
There is actually a new season pass with this and more upcoming dlcs
so do I have to buy a new season pass or is the one from the release version that I already have will cover that?
@@user-on7dr4km2h i think there is a season 2 season pass , so you have to buy him
@@user-on7dr4km2h sadly you have to buy it again
Excellent decision to make Snap Strategy introduce the new update.
incorporating full screen barbershop is fantastic. excited!
Glad to see full-screen barbershop is no longer needed it was one of my favorite mods and I hated when it wouldn't work for whatever reason I'm glad to see ill no longer have to worry about that.
Very excited for this update and the DLC!
A small correction: Selecting an intent for your hunt or feast activities seems not to be part of the base game. The tab to select an intent is there, but you are stuck with the intent "recreation" as the only option, you probably need the tours and tournaments expansion for having the full selection of possible intents. Still a great update though, the new features are a lot of fun and add a lot of interesting possibilities.
Excellent work, looks like will add a lot of life to the game.
What a pleasant surprise to see SnapStrategy in an official paradox video!!
So basically the maa station just mean they will get boosted if you stationed them there or they will participated in defense and deal more damage to the enemy too? I personally think that siege warfare in this game need to be developed so no only the besiegers are attacked by attrition but by the defenders' skirmishes too. I did like the stances and the regency, it will help shape the real point of view of a medieval world. Thank you for the free update, just a few words from a guy feeling boring after 500hrs of playtime and never get deposed :DD
Really fantastic additions!
The next thing that i'm personally looking forward is a mini games and battle interactions
Woah that's actually amazing
Looking forward to the coming weekend.
Wow the dlcs for this game are so amazing
We are waiting!!!
nice one @snap Strategy!
This is such a good update. You really have to think about events (and travel plans!) now, and they have varied and boosted benefits. It's not just a "click button to reduce stress straight after your friend dies" thing.
Regency will be amazing for people who want to play as loyal vassals!
My body is ready
itll be great to finally have vassal gameplay that isnt "oh hey my army is bigger than my liege's now guess ill take his title and start playing the game for real"
Can't wait for the update
The economic view is a godsend.
i cant wait 4 days please release ASAP.
We've been sitting here for days! Start the damn joust before I piss myself!
I reallly hope we get an unlanded DLC one day, being able to start from nothing or recover if you've lost everything, serving as a knight or councilor, rising through the ranks of a ruler's court.
@@bigpig8057 I don't really think that's a big deal, the DLC could just ask the player whether they want to start over or continue as an unlanded noble.
There was a mod like that in CK2, probably will be/is one for CK3. It's a pretty boring playstyle.
@@ThomasWarhammer I agree with that, could be an option, but my comment was more about the Devs "vision" of the game. I don't think they're ever going to add that mode, but I guess everything is possible.
@@informitas0117 Honestly I think CK3 provides better mechanics for an unlanded character, but I still prefer the feudal gameplay.
Good on them for the barbershop update.
This free update looks good, cant wait to try out A Game of Thrones mod with this changes.
Great overview, very helpful to me as I wasn't sure what was in the base and what was DLC. Based on this I'm off to order the DLC (the base looks great but the DLC looks fantastic base on other videos).
The regency mechanics is something I've wanted since first playing CK2.
I havent played CK3 in a while nor thinking of buying the new DLC just yet but I like to see free stuff added regardless of if you spend the money or not. This just might bring me back to this brilliant game.
Okay this does sound very good. I like that.
This is amazing!
Random observation, one thing CK3 needs to improve is how the game and characters look in different eras. Each of the eras should have distinct armour and clothing fitting to that historical era. In 867 mail is fine, but in 1400 nobility should be wearing full plate armour. Also in 867 the castle backgrounds in the menu screen should in most capitals be wooden forts with some banners, but as the fort level increases this should change to a stone castle and become grander with each upgrade to the realm capital.
finally, free update, keep doing this pls
wow,, they are very much good thing in the new expansion.
this s amazing! i am gonna pickup ck3 again
I wonder if we can use hooks to became regent, because I'm pretty interested in being a vassal ruling from the shadow.
The activity rework seems sick.
finally a proper dlc for my favourite paradox game! hyped
I did a world conquest some days ago and uninstalled, i guess i will install it again
Hallelujah, Paradox is a merciful god giving me all these free things
Never once in 300 hours have i bothered to use the barber shop 😂
This is so aewsome
I kinda hope this opens the door for the reintroduction of legendary bloodlines and the immortality quest. We'll see if this comes true, for now I at least bought the expansion pass for this game together with the Wards and Wardens after this
a lot of content for free awesome!
So happy that the new update works well with my Mac before I couldn’t even launch the game
May 11th Can't come soon enough.
sick
This looks pretty great actually
I wonder if the update will affect teleportation for army commanders and knights. I would argue that travelling around your realm should not need a regent, since the ruler can bring the court with them. Going on pilgrimages and commanding armies, or otherwise leaving the realm, should definitely require regency.
How can you release this at the same time as Age Of Wonders 4. That is just so cruel 😅 what a time to be a parodox gamer!!!
Its even worse, because this month they release AoW4, Stellaris DLC, Victoria 3 DLC, CK3 DLC, Cities Skylines DLC and I think something else from PDX.
@@bigpig8057 I used to like stellaris but took a break might go back and try soon but yeah that's alot if updates and DLC
wow, its amazing
Could have a DLC for trade routes / merchants to give us more ways to earn gold, prestige, besides of other ways to spending it, and new mechanics and strategies to do more than wars ...
Maybe they'll do somthing like that with a Merchant republic dlc like in ck2? can hope
wooo let's goo
5:27 Nice helmets! Are they some kind of Early Iberian armor?
We need a diet and disease update that focuses on character health, improving their health and lifestyle to live longer, or sabotaging that of your rivals to have them die sooner.
The main things that should be included are:
. Add decision to pursue exercise to gain the athletic outcome, the success of which is influenced by traits and prowess. This can trigger events such as mounted horse exercise, sparring that can fail an result in getting maimed, hiking/long walks that increase hostile scheme success chances, wrestling with freinds, etc.
. Add decision to study disease. This can trigger events such as inviting sick peasants into the castle for you and your physician to study to gain piety, forcefully kidnapping peasants to experiment on to gain dread, having witches/spymasters turn up offering medicines/potions/poisons, sending courtiers infected with diesease to courts of rivals, flinging diseased bodies into rivals realms to start an outbreak to cause unrest/control lose with the risk of it spreading to their court or even into your realm. This could all be impacted by a characters traits, learning, cultural traditions etc.
This DLC seems pretty good
Niceeeee
Updates are supposed to be free, you're literally the only studio that acts like you're giving people a deal.
Love the emphasis on the RPG part of the game! I hope the new economy map is the sign of some potential republic or trading oriented DLC - wishful thinking ?
Vassal stances is a step in the right direction for an overall improvement of the game. I mean, every gameplay, regardless of culture, religion or government has vassals
Now they really need to rework claimants and succession. Having two or more siblings competing for a title should automatically trigger factions, where vassals choose who to support, maybe because they like one over the other, maybe because one promised more favors in exchange for their support. This is one way to actually empower vassals too. The mod Back me Up has the right idea
Succession crisis were so commonplace during the period, and they are the lamest thing in CK3.
Check out the upcoming mod back me up
Damn, not gonna lie I started to lose hope for ck3 but you guys did an incredible job with this dlc and free update, hyped to try them out
I just want more outfits tbh
This is sooo badly needed. Well done paradox
Basically the second half of CK3 that nobody knew they needed.
Yeah now it’s truly a great successor to CK2, I’m so excited for this
This 1000%. Will wait for the update to come out but from what I've seen this is exactly the kind of game changes I was hoping for in the sequel. I remember giving a Steam review when CK3 first came out that the original release was essentially a graphics updated CK2 - an update like this was exactly what I hoped for that would give reason for CK3 to really bring new life to the series.
@@tau434 There’s some CZcamsrs playing the update and DLC right now, give them a watch. Yeah this update is what this game needed badly
@@etholus1000 Such great news!
Mount and Crusaders
I'll come back when they actually decide to add in stuff in the africa region. Like all the african weapons, armor, and etc. You know pretty important stuff to have during those times.
Thanks paradox! Can’t wait for it to come to Xbox in 25 years!
they straightup added the fullscreen barbershop mod 💀
Time to tell stories through History i guess !
I guess Men-at-Arms stationing means that the advantage from more military buildings is no longer cumulative. :(
Yes, it is a deliberate step to address the stacking military bonuses to make one type of man at arms hilariously powerful and just spamming it. Now a single county can only buff the one that is stationed there.
Looks like CK3 will finally feel like its own game.
WHEN! I WANT!
Got a lovely free feature too. My game now keeps crashing upon trying to open it! Love it 👄
❤ me too😊🎉🎉🎉
Hey Paradox, shot in the dark question but uh... Are we gonna see Nomadic hordes (Horse Lords of CK2) or merchant republic style factions in the near future? Eagerly awaiting both. Please take my money.
They've talked about revamping both nomads and republics in their pipeline.
As I was seeing the vid I thought to myself that this dlc I would buy, but then I remembered, this is only all the free stuff!!
Hopefully, all these will integrate smoothly into a continuing old game.
Unfortunately, it didn't happen fully with the Royal Court and Fate of Iberia DLCs. Like, when I bought and turned them on and opened a saved game, there were no historical artifacts in respective courts, that would normally exist in a new game started with the Royal Court on. E.g. the Charlemagne's Throne in HRE, his skull in France, the Spear of Destiny etc. They just never existed in my game universe, how sad :( Or the Iberian struggle with its stages does not happen, though that's not important as I play in a different region. The garments appeared though.
It is almost always the case that old saves continued after an update will have bugs, missing features and sometimes outright break. That's why when an update approaches most people recommend finishing up your current playthrough, either before it rolls out or by using the rollback feature on steam to revert to the previous game version to finish it up.
The bigger the update/dlc the bigger the chance that it'll break your save. Just a general rule of thumb. And this ones probably the biggest update yet. So I doubt your saves will work normally... if at all.
