    Yesterday was my first fast day. It was fine until the end of the day when i was in bed, i thought about soup for hours, but just drank water til i fell asleep. This morning, i dont even feel hungry.

    I’ve been doing ADF for 30 days and lost 7 pounds but my clothes fit better and I have more energy. Weight loss is slower than others I’ve seen online but some progress is better than no progress

    Today is a fast day for me. Yesterday was a feast day. I ate fruit and a nutritious meal, hydrated really well. Just finished a 45 minute walk. I'm about to journal and be intentional about my day. I will be successful.

    I fasted so clean for 38 hrs
    Broke with
    Fruit salad with almond nuts, apple, with yoghurt and a bit of honey
    Closing my fast with
    Sweet potatoes, chicken, and vegetable stir fry.

    I don’t eat for 2days worth of calories, I just eat until satisfied, all nutrient dense foods, and avoid having multiple “cheats” throughout the day…I’ll have a treat, but that’s it. So far so good.

    I shortened my IMF window to 6 hours. I'm doing so much heavy work right now in terms of yard work and gardening so I need to eat something every day to keep me going. I'm averaging 12K - 14K steps and a couple hours of zone cardio a day in activity right now, so I don't think I can do all of that work and not eat anything. But I love your words and inspiration to keep going. Thank you Colleen!

    Joined this 14 day challenge after i did a 7 day ADF to see how I felt, thanks to your motivation! Feast days are tough, i feel so sluggish its more of a day to relax. I try to keep my activities for my fast days! 😂

    Colleen, you are the ADF Queen. I love you and am so grateful for all the help and knowledge you freely give. Yesterday I fasted and was craving chips. I wrote down my feelings and guess what? the craving disappeared. The energy just transferred to the paper. I have to continue on this journey of self awareness and not stuff emotions with food. Did I allow myself some chips on feast day? Yes, delay not deny. Thanks Colleen!

    Lol I'm sorry. I'm doing keto with this month's ADF challenge. When you said the sour cream and cheese is what's bad with the potato made me chuckle. The sour cream and cheese isn't making you gain weight or building back up your glucose stores, pairing those with a potato will because a medium potato has 33 grams of carbs. Cheese and sour cream doesn't have carbs and won't raise your blood sugar like a potato. I don't eat more than 20 carbs a day. As long as you're hitting your protein and health fat goals you don't have to worry about storing glycogen in your liver. You'll be burning pure fat 😏🔥

      Mot everyone is doing keto. I for example get inflammation from dairy. I'd rather eat the potatoes than heavy cream.

    Yesterday was my fast day but I didn't complete it. Usually I would call the whole thing off for the planned duration but this Sept challenge with you all is motivating so I've decided to continue. I'm 16 hours into the fast now and feeling good. Thank you for the community!

    I can’t thank you enough! Fasting day was amazing and I felt light and healthy… feasting day was not so good as I didn’t plan it right so I ate twice and it wasn’t low carb… ate twice with a 6 hours gap… and so happy to be having my fasting day again… it’s already 4:30 AM here and I’m not sleeping well.
    I’m so very ready to carry on for a week and I already know what I will have on Monday 🙏🏻😍 thank you Colleen! Loads of love…

    I completed my very first 36 hour fast, and today was my feast day. I broke my fast with protein. While I ate within my calorie recommendations, I certainly could have chosen foods that were better for me. That is goal for Monday's feast day. Thank you for these helpful hints.

    I just ended my first feast day. It was hard because I had been doing OMAD for so long, but i was able to push through and make it. I felt refreshed when i woke, and after a good day of eating (lots of protein, healthy fats, and a lot of green food) i feel even more prepared for tomorrows fast day.

    Girl my last meal was 8/31 8pm I just ended it at 1445 and honestly I don't have much appetite I just made a larrrrrgggeee salad with 3eggs and some chicken 2 water and I feel greaaaaatttt my last weight I was 12lbs down since I started.     I’m so glad I found you ❤ Every time that I fast in the past I always felt good it’s just all the things going on in my life I stopped and gained weight.. but now I feel better and I started ADF December first and I haven’t lost much but my body looks different I know definitely I’m losing fat 😊 I used to follow Rachel when she was active looking for some motivation I found you and I thank you for all your content ❤

    Today my first day, I’m fasting!
    I’ve done ADF in August and lost 5 kg (11 pounds)! But this month I have a big deadline and I’m in stress, so I stopped and went to Omad for few days!

I’m kind of mad because I should have had veggies and lighter food so tomorrow on fast day I need to get back on track with eating better on fast days. Today is just water and black tea.     I tried Alternate Day Fasting for one month-didn’t work, not one pound lost. I think it’s because I had some other health related issues going on that was influencing my results. I wanted to post this message just in case there is someone going through the same thing... I am now doing a water fast. The first 7 days I went from 224 to 207-that’s right, 17 lbs. The second week I went from 207 to 198. I want to get down to 150 or 140. If you do water fast for more than 5 days, make sure you research how to break the fast. You must be careful how you reintroduce food. Next weigh in will be Friday, 10/13 and I should be down to 191. Hope this inspired someone.

    Just another way to go is add in more fat or magnesium. Doing carnivore diet i was never consipated and didnt eat a lick of veggies. Didnt need fiber. The fat specifically animal fat did wonders. But if you not use to fat and your stomach acid is low youll experience diarrhea til your body adapts.

    Hi everyone!! I’m planning to start the ADF Monday. I have so many questions on what’s the best way to start. Should I follow the list below.
    Monday- Eat window 10-6
    Tuesday - Fast Day
    Wednesday - Eat window 10-6
    Thursday - Fast day
    Friday - Eat window 10-6
    Saturday- Fast Day
    Sunday - Eat window 10-6
    Do you all think this is a good schedule to start for a beginner? I’m trying not to overthink it. Thanks for your help!

      Your eat window should be bigger! Have breakfast lunch and dinner. Stop eating three hours before bed. Enjoy your feast days! They are for fueling up so you can have productive fast days. Focus on whole nutritious foods. You’ll be fine.

    Thank you for this! I'm plant based and I was worried that I wouldn't be able to ADF and see results. Being plant based, I have to eat potatoes, rice, and other carbs. If I didn't I wouldn't be eating anything on my feast days lol

    Not all of us can tolerate starchy foods and nature's candy when we are fighting diabetes and our bodies turns every ounce of sweets into fats so I wish you would give advice that's a little broader than encouraging us to eat potatoes and fruit. You give good information

    Can I still have my vital collagen peptides during fasting? Or should it be skipped untill feast day?

      It technically breaks autophagy but you’ll still be in ketosis

      Try not to think of it as failing. You got thru a bug chunk of your day yesterday fasting. Now today you get to fuel your body to prepare to go all in again tomorrow 😊

      Don’t restart or try again….just keep going!! You did not fail. Just keep adding more and more hours slowly fasting. Some people need to trickle into the process rather then go cold turkey.

      @@colleenmariet You're a baby 🤭🤭... I asked the question because I'm trying to see if weight drops faster when you're younger. When I was younger an old lady told me when your older weight lose slows down. But I think it depends on the person and what they're doing.

    I find that when I fast my breath does not smell the most fresh. Does anyone else notice this? Any tips?

      Brush teeth with baking soda not to break your fast with flavoured toothpastes or mouthwash. Or you can brush and we’ll rinse with hot water every couple of hours. Tongue scraper is great especially to remove fasting residue on your tongue. That really helps.

      Thank you for the tips. I do all of the above. I just find my breath is not all that fresh when doing dry fasting. I read a comment saying that I do need to drink something so I might just stop doing doing dry fasting

      Flavours makes the body think food is coming, and insulin will be released which one is trying to avoid when fasting so that fat stores can be taped into.
