  • Getting my father's 2014 Ram 15 hasn't been without its issues. I need to replace the blower motor so I can start driving it in the winter and have the defroster work. Check it out!!

I’ve heard the Hemi tick before, but holy! That actually sounds more like exhaust studs are broken though. And those are a nightmare to change!!

Had the same thing on mine. 2014 ram 1500 5.7 crew cab. One bolt broken that couldn’t be tapped or a welded to. Dealer tried, welder tried. Motor has to come out to be tapped. Worked on it for 2 weeks. Nightmare.

Have you had any issues since install? My new fan came with a big warning talking about clearing codes that could damage the new unit.

Did you get the exhaust leak and your lifters checked!?

Where did you buy the blower motor from? And how much did it run you?

I bought one from O’Reillys. I don’t recall how much it was but there were 2 different ones: one with the resistor built in and one that has it separate.

So the resistor doesn't really matter? ??? What is the resistor for.??? I got mine the same

The resistor is what regulates the speed. You can tell it’s going or is bad if your blower only works when it’s on higher speeds.

I was all worried when my 2016 Ram 5.7L Hemi was ticking hard. I thought it was lifters. It ends up, almost 90% of the time it's a cracked passenger side exhaust manifold.

Yeah, I had a 2011 that did the same thing. It appears to be pretty common

My 14 is doing is doing the same, I haven't looked in to it though. A lot of people seem to say the same thing manifold bolts.

@@biggriggz I’m still getting around to it but I’ll do a video on the exhaust leak soon

My 2014 was the same way. Also lifters went out. Went ahead and just replaced the motor

It’s a manufacture’s defect. They used subpar bolts on the manifold. I would hear the ticking until my engine warmed up and the heat caused expansion and closed the gap. Had the bolts replaced and the problem went away. Costed me 1K to do each side. Been good for almost 10 years now though.
