Lol you seemed to me too young to have a 13 yo son
Who cloned Brett?
Literally me & my wife.
@@UFDTech very nice
@@UFDTech that's the funniest response to that lmao

Brett Jr
How does Brett's son look more like Brett than Brett does. Brett is now equate brand Brett, Brett's son is now real Brett.
The clone is growing nicely.

Bro is a photocopy of Brett
Today I Learned: Brett successfully cloned himself. It's always important to have a backup, in case you need spare parts or a replacement.
As a parent to a fully grown child, enjoy the next few years with them. You'll get to do some amazing stuff with them, but the time is short before the ninjas show up with onions. You can still do amazing stuff afterwards, but it's not quite the same.
The copy and paste is strong in this one 😂😂

Ooo a Mini Brett! Happy birthday Isac!
That “frick Nintendo” was seriously heart felt
Seeing you bring you son to work today warmed my heart. ❤
Happy Birthday. Is nice to see him all grown up!! more since we had been witness of all his struggles.
Congratulations on your birthday.
Except Windows does run well on Arm these days, at least on Apple Arm chips. I run Windows in a VM on a Macbook Pro M1 Max using VMWare Fusion and it runs very well. I was actually surprised at how well Windows and Office work, along with most other software I tried.
Qualcom is gonna revive the netbook xD
Hey, that’s me! 12:18 much love Brett ❤😂
damn, you look so young to have kid that big. 🤣. you guys look like brothers
Genuinely concerned over the new Snapdragon SOCs. I really want M series power and efficiency on windows :(
Tell the young man we wish him a happy birthday. My son is 4, just starting school, I'm dreading the teen age years.
I swar im seeing two bret on screen
Can we also get rid of regional monopolies? My sister lives in an apartment in NYC and it's either s̶p̶e̶c̶u̶l̶u̶m̶ spectrum, or DSL alternatives. And s̶p̶e̶c̶u̶l̶u̶m̶ spectrum just upped the bill to 85 for 500 down and only 30 up... I have fiber gigabit for 10 less and it's equal up and down. Many buildings are old and don't have fiber, but you can do fiber to copper and have nodes in the neighborhood and offer people maybe up to 500 mbps up and down in an apartment or something. Net neutrality also needs to address regional monopolies because all the apartments don't have options.
Wait till you figure out what rural internet is like......
@@dobermanownerforlife3902 and I want it to be better there too. I understand it must be difficult for companies to justify upgrading infrastructure for population in the 100s or 1000s, but that also needs to be addressed through gov provided ISP that's a regulated monopoly or something like a utility. There needs to be good minimum speeds at a certain price. Maybe 250 down 100 up should be the US minimum for like 35 USD and then how it goes up from there depends on competition. But at least rural areas will then have something decent that'll work for many tasks most people need.
@@2muchjpop the internet is powered by electricity. As long as energy costs go up, internet cost will to. Or service will be reduced.
Your ISP sounds a little … invasive.
@@SchoolforHackers ya they fuck you up the ass with their prices cuz they can. Nothing good allowed at the apartments except their services... Even if you could call that "good"... They're never gonna upgrade their shitty asynchronous service to anything good.
"I don't feel so good today. Mini Me you got this?"
"Yeah Dad."
Drill bits come on Brett those are driver bits! Drill bits make holes, driver bits interface with screws and bolts!
Side note dang that is a sweet kit!
I winced. Have someone I'm training at work that keeps making that mistake.
The only reason Vista was "bad" is because it was the first 64bit OS Windows, when most people were upgrading from XP which was still 32bit. Most hardware vendors didn't bother to make 64bit drivers for Vista until it was too late, even though they had advanced copies of Vista before it was publicly available to make new drivers. If it weren't for Vista's growing pains, and subsequent updates, Win7 would be a pile of trash too. So by the time Win7 came out 64bit drivers for VISTA had already been developed and matured from all those hardware vendors, or they just had new hardware products that worked with 64bit Vista, and just inherently worked with windows 7.
It was all about timing.
And that's not the only reason it was bad. Technically not their first normie customer facing 64 bit OS, however. As someone who ran XP 64 bit. But I was one of like, what, 5 ppl that had XP 64? So Vista was their first big time 64 bit OS. Man... If only devs would've gotten drivers updated in times and if MS hadn't bungled it. But you're right, Vista gave way to 7. I still like 7 the best of all MS OSes.
@@FlukasMcDoogle I tried to run XP 64bit.. but i had the same problem as Vista users had,.. nothing really worked with it, and apps didn't run since i don't think it had a 32bit compatibility layer to run old apps like Vista did. AFAIK 64bit XP was never sold to the public. funny enough there IS a 32bit version of Vista that no one bothered with, but i think it would have fixed most user problems.
But the Windows on ARM will be in the same shoes like Windows Vista, little market share = low amount of appsa, and if even the performance is not good, the sales will not really increase, so we can burry the Windows on ARM next to the Windows Phone? Same problems same ending (users want apps, not an empty app store)
ngl I was caught off-guard by Brett Junior's presence (it was Brett's little clone, right?). But his calm smile during the whole episode made my day. Happy birthday buddy! 🥳
If we don't get powerful ARM laptops with Linux soon, I as a developer may have to do the unthinkable and buy into the Apple ecosystem...
I like how Brett's son just smiles at the camera the whole video
That’s awesome. My daughter turned 15 yesterday!
Big man's got some good focus. I'm sure he'll go far.
Welcome Issac to the show!
Isaac literally looks like Sydney and Brett combined OMG.
Brett raising mini Brett right with choosing PC over counsel 💯❤...Welcome to the pcmr mini Brett 😂
Hey good job for a first time on a UFD Tech WORLD WIDE broadcast ;)
I wanted him to interrupt “and I am Kyle”.
You paying that kid? Love it. Loved working with dad back in the day.
Remember the Nintendo Labi? They sold people cardboard for over $100.
Labio?
I'm getting flashbacks to my 2007 Celeron "powered" HP laptop
As expected but very wholesome , Happy B da to your son
Good show great content and happy bday buddy
Kratos: Boy, stand firm, face what frightens you, and let nothing stand in your way.... (Kratos theme playing)
Are those Fanttik bits narrow and long enough to reach tight places? Like with my collection of half working PS3 controllers, the screws would require PH1 bits, but those are often too thick, so I have to use a PH0 which doesn't fit quite as well and can round the screw heads more easily.
Asking just for fun, I'm not ordering anything from U.S., I'll just keep modifying the tools I find from second-hand stores.
Good video, I've been making the same point with a twist, even if we accept Qualcomm's performance claims and benchmarks, it STILL loses to year frigging old x86 and only 10% more efficient, that's the xelite, the "elite pro" is even worse
Windows on ARM is always a rocky road. If Qualcomm wanted to make an ARM equivalent of Core Ultra CPUs, at least publish the more believable benchmark results.
Happy birthday little man!
Ha! Arm trying to compete with x86. What could possibly go wrong?
Happy B'day Isac!
Windows ME and Vista were great. I loved vista, it just got a bad rap because it was thrown on a lot of under spec'd hardware, and people also didn't like user account control since everyone was used to being logged into winXP as administrator, so those "annoying pop ups" were a huge complaint i remember getting back in the day... But it is still one of my favorite os's.
Good to see Brett Jr. :D
Wholesome and all :)
Windows isn’t ready, you say? **excited penguin noises**
The young LEGEND and his Dad. We love to see it!
I thought the catchphrase of this channel was yummy yummy deal master😅
It’s a winzip copy of Brett in today’s news today.
I am making a pc for fortnite and other cpu bound games for 1080p high fps gaming. and ill be having a 7800x3d with a 3050 in a build, is this a good idea assumin ill upgrade the gpu in like a year to a 7700xt or a 4070 super?
Im not gonna use any windows arm until i can use all of my x86 or x86-64 softwares as smooth or better than the actual architecture it was intended to.Something like emulating the NES on a $4000 PC
Mini-Bretthost looks excited to be there. Happy belated birthday.
Qualcomm fudging benchmarks?
Happy birthday Issac!
Now, as lovely as it would be to have Reese with you at Computex, the real question is this: will you have Rare Brew Coffee with you? I'm asking for... a friend... because that friend would like to know where good coffee will be. :)
Happy birthday mini Brett!
There is so much hate on Windows 11, I don't see an issue and I have been using windows since 3.1. Also, Happy Birthday Mini Bretthost!
Happy birthday little Brett!
Its also my wifes birthday today :P. Also Issac's reaction to gaming handhelds is about the same as mine lol
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MINI BRETT
Thanks for this. Something I will never understand is if windows on ARM is not got in the windows world…. Why does it work pretty well using emulation on a Mac (Parallels)? Makes no sense to me…. Someone make it make sense please. 🙏🏾
Let Issac be a regular!😊
Brett’s newer backup drive.
I have a question : What is a keynote?
Isaac managed to look cool and a bit enigmatic.. ;) even if he was obviously a little uncomfortable being on camera the first time... you need to have him on more, put him to work as more of an active contributor to the banter... I for one say "Good job Isaac", and happy birthday.
Looks like Mini Brett and I share the same birthday! Happy birthday 🥳🎉
The Snapdragon X numbers kind of reminds me of when MediaTek had their benchmark scandal. Wouldn't be surprised if Qualcomm did this just to get that silicon out the door.
Honestly I thought he was another employee until I actually saw how young he was.
I feel like having some Doublemint gum now.
You seriously asked your son if he wanted a handheld and he said no! When i was 13 I would have died for one!
he spoke the word that cant be heard
Happy birthday Brett Jr. May u always jumpscare us with your resemblance to your father 🥳
It's possible windows is running a debug build on the snapdragons.
The genes are stronk!
Unless the hardware is actually defect, their numbers were on Linux afaik, check out their open source collab with Linaro
Perform like a (Snap)Dragon🗣️🗣️🗣️😲😲
I hope your son gets a 4090 for his hard work in HN on his birthday
Happy Birthday!!!!!
I haven't any problem at all with Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10 or 11. All have been good for me. I can't understand the hate nor the claims of good-bad periodicity.
One is certain. He is your son 100%. Happy birthday kid.
This is borderline uncanny valley 😂
13:26 Wait, that ain't a Ryzen 5 7600 box in the case
It is my wife's birthday also today, but no age for her she is over 13+32 and she takes my children to work every week. My wife is a jr. high math teacher and our offspring is also 13 years old. So, happy birthday everyone after Hotnews it is time to bake that cake!!!🎉🥳🎂
I just care that qualcomm runs well with linux, and since they hardware comes from a company so invested in Android, it should be better on linux than windows on arm.
If microsoft is truly serious about catching up on ARM, I predict they would address their kernel performance issue by making plans for an evenual arm XBOX knowing game devs would find the performance issues and patch their kernel versions with fixes that would likely get ported back to their desktop os.
My ISP throttles my data, but that’s because I went over the 30GB limit. 😂
Ahhh, to have a teenager now. Welcome to the sadness club!
happy birthday buddy.
Everyone says that Apple's silicon domination is coming to an end. I'm very skeptical because I don't see a scenario where Windows ARM ever comes close to MacOS ARM, at least not any time soon.
Happy birthday Bretts Son!
So we now need UFD Tech Jr ? :P
Nintendo wants a taste of the fan backlash.
Oh happy birthday!
Happy Birthday!
I KNOW A CLONE WHEN I SEE ONE
Happy birthday! 🎉
happy birthday brett 2.0
