Cart Ruts of India | The Mystery of Krishna's Chariot Tracks | Megalithomania

- There are a set of remarkable Cart-Ruts in Rajgir, known as the chariot track of Krishna, which are carved out from hard volcanic basalt. Located near 40 KM of cyclopean walls these cart ruts are an anomaly. These are thought to be the literal chariot tracks of Krishna and ‘burnt’ into the rock by the speed and power of Lord Krishna’s chariot when he entered the city of Rajgir during the epic "Mahabharata" times waging a fierce battle. There are also several unusual 'shell inscriptions', the un-deciphered characters from central and eastern India, thought to date from the 1st to the 5th Centuries AD and are engraved in the rock around the cart ruts. They are exactly the same width and dimensions of those in Malta, suggesting the same technology may have been used to create them.

The real name is not INDIA. It's BHARATVARSH. The land of Emperor Bharat.
Hugh Newman, thank you for taking us along to see these wonders!!!!!
Glad you like them!
The Mahabharata is now dated to approx 5000 BC…thanks for bringing these cart ruts to light to many Indians
The book or the war written about in the book?
sure ... 5000BC .. sure .. everyone was in the stone/bronze age but your gods had flying chariots and wifi. I feel sorry you lot reproduce so much and create more people like you
@@penogeThe book. The war could've taken place long long before it was written down as history. Some alternative historians suggest it could've been during the time of the Sumerian civilisation or even older. Although it's not been vetted with solid evidence as yet.
That's 3000 years older than the invention of the chariot, so how does that work?

Thanks a lot! I'm an architect from Spain specialied in megaltics constructions and I've visited cart ruts in Valencia, Malta and Sardinia tired to listen they were romans or iberians.... And no Roman nor Iberian ever step on India lands that we know.
So thanks again, because like you, I travel around the world looking for these unique traces.
Although none of the Romans or Iberian stepped on Bhaarat Land , we bharatiyas have a history of ruling the entire planet. No wonder u find this on the entire planet elsewhere out of Bhaaray
I would really appreciate it if you can pay a visit to my motherland "BHARATVARSH". An ancient land.
I’m an Architect too and this subject has drawn my attention to it. You should also check out Godyacha tap in Maharashtra,India. The Jewish community there has to say that Elijah had descended there on a cart.
I think its mentioned that the yavans ie romans nd greeks were participated nd fought in the MAHABHARAT war.
@@aaryan_B055 are you sure that YAAVANs were Romans and not Greeks? I was on the assumption that they were Greeks.
What interests me is the propulsion system that these “ carts “ used .
If it was a draft animal in harness … there would be a trail worn between the ruts .
If it was a team , the ruts themselves would be worn at the top .
Modern vehicles make ruts like this , because they have internal power to the wheels .
There are N number of miraculous things exist in India, the more you explore, more you discover, more you will be surprised
Maybe Praveen Mohan Could help you decipher the writing near those cart ruts. He's a ancient India expert on a lot of things down there in India.
He has his own channel on youtube. You should reach out to him and see if he can help you decipher those Or at least what he knows about them. If he knows about them. I don't know if he can. But to me, he'd be the most likely person to start with.
We know Praveen and met him in India!

Many sincere thanks for drawing our attention to this🙏🏻
Hugh, I *did* think you were on Malta again at the beginning of this video post. Wow! India? Thanks for posting! ☮️❤️🐾

Fascinating indeed
They have these in Northern Ca, looking just like Malta.
Where about? They are in riverbeds here in Austin, TX

Here are my thoughts….
The cart ruts look man-made due to their linear nature, the fairly consistent rut width, the fairly consistent distance between ruts and their polished nature. This consistency combined with the effort needed to carve and polish a hard rock (e.g. basalt) suggests that one or more machines (animal-powered?) were used with a harder rock to make the ruts.
The fairly uniform polished nature of the ruts suggests they needed to be smooth, which with their linear nature suggests an object was moved along the ruts (e.g. sledge, cart). A smooth surface reducing friction making it easier and faster to move along the ruts. The use of ruts would make for a smoother ride as fewer bumps would be encountered and reduce the risk of the cart sliding or over-turning.
The lack of obvious linear grooves in the ruts or surface marks between the ruts suggesting that any object that move along or parallel to the ruts had a significantly lower hardness than the basalt. For example, wood wheels and animal hooves moving along or parallel to the ruts would be significantly softer than the basalt and unlikely to abrade the rock and leave marks.
The ‘knee prints’ in the ruts could be locations where the cart was stopped for some time (e.g. loading, left over night) with stones placed in the ‘knee prints’ to prevent the cart wheel from moving.
One intriguing observation is that the reported average width of the rut is 1.4m, which is broadly equivalent to the standard Roman cart gauge of 4 ft. 8 1/2". This supports the idea that carts were used in the ruts and suggests that a standard cart/chariot axle width was adopted by several states in Ancient times.
The reason for making the ruts is implied in the video and could be to speed-up the supply of stone or other supplies for the construction of the nearby cyclopean walls.
No, it is can not be carved out tracks but most likely somebody went there in the ancient time with his vehicle in a very wet reddish soil and left there his prints which later on petrified.
If it's a religious and/or historically significant site, the ruts could have been created both as a reminder or memorial, and to inspire awe and devotion, in the same way relics were created during the Middle Ages.
What is the distance between the parallel ruts here and how does that compare to the measurements in Malta? This is fascinating. I've never heard of this site. Thanks Hugh, JJ and crew for all you do.
Sorry, I missed those stats on my first view. Appreciate much
Amazing. That looks REALLY old because there is no way it was in that state in its day otherwise you couldn't t get a horse to safely traverese along it. Imagine how many thousands of years its took for that rock to look worn down? Astonishing
Awesome. I didn’t know there were cart ruts outside of Malta.
They look industrial. As if they had pipes or hoses laying in them.
Guess these ruts were not as deep
at the beginning but the down floating rainwater being slightly acidic deepened these over tens of thousend years.
Hundreds of years, tens of thousands would be way out of this time period.
@@kye51961 who knows for sure.
Really fascinating stuff Hugh, thanks for sharing. These ruts are not straight they swerve around slightly, it looks like heat or water may have been involved in the making of them because of the cricked smooth surface of these ruts ? And at 4:24, could those so called writings/carvings, be the imprint of the tool or tools, or machine that was used to made the cart ruts ?
Glad you got into the track widths. Amazing find. Scientists may work out the kind of weight would have caused this track in this type of stone. They may even work out the speed it took to make them. It would have been nice to have the measurement of the track that stone statue cart would have made if it were a real cart. Can't wait to see what you find on Malta and Turkey. Many have gone there before you did. Russian scientist said those are 60000 years old...
The giant footprints at 5:20 are unlike those in the Paluxy river in Texas USA artificial.
Interestingly enough the Sea Peoples are frequently mentioned in the vedas and the Upanashads. They may have carried the concepts to Malta where they worshipped the ancient stone worms.
If those are cart ruts, where are the hoof prints of the animals pulling them or people pushing them?
Uhhhh why would they step on the exact same spot every time?
No one is saying they are actual cart ruts... It's just a name based on first impressions. No one knows what they are or what they were used for.
Who’s to say that they weren’t self propelled
@@celsus7979there would be the obvious sign of disturbance. The cart tracks are very conspicuous, so should many tracks be
What would make a bigger imprint? Hooves or a wheel?

Cart ruts were apparently the Neolithic railroads. In Malta and apparently also in India and other areas cart ruts gave purchase on the bare stone escarpments encountered by the solid wheeled carts, which would otherwise slip and shimmy on the bare stone surfaces, especially when wet. There are tracks, like the ones shown here, in Anatolia/Turkey. Also there is a subterranean city that has 8 levels> Derinkuyu. It is not exactly known who made the excavations, nor the reason why. Anatolia was inhabited by indo-european populations, the Hittites were maybe the oldest. The Mittani in the general area worshipped Vedic gods and were breeding horses. A horse raising treatise from the Mittani was found. And let us remember the first temple in the world Göbekli Tepe, was discovered in Anatolia...
Ty for the vid. GPS Coordinates please.
I'm shocked that there's no hoofprints or footprints showing that a cart was dragged!? So even if the rock was soft at some point in deep antiquity the "cart" would have to be self-propelled
If the cart was laden with heavy cargo, then the solid wheel ground pressure would be way more than a horse's or buffalo hoof. Likely elephants pulled the mega carts
All over the world things like this are 😮❤
Fun Fact - The Word Chariot Comes From Sanskrit/Hindi Word Char-Rath
As does the word Wagon, Which comes from Sanskrit word Waahan.
Entire English Language is Based on Ancient Hindu Indian Language Sanskrit.
Hey Krishna
Looks like something ancient with wheels that were evenly spaced apart came through many many times before the rock hardened
But they are not evenly spaced. Did you not watch the whole video? There's a variance, not as much as other sites, but it's there.
A former german police man Johannes Horn has profen by tool marks that the cart ruts in Malta were marks of machinery (of rotating stone saws) of ancient stone mining. The cart ruts in India seems to be of the same origin. Any one should investigate them more closely and pay much attention to the sides of them.
How do the width measurements add up to the ones in Malta and other countries
The Mahabharata has 10 volumes...700 pages each. The one volume versions are tight abbreviations.
Very interesting! I wonder if there is any directional significance of the lines/ruts. Such as astrological or symbolic alignment. Or if the ruts maybe had a practical use originally, and then carved at a later point, for example…
It would be interesting to see where they go. Maybe with imaging technology someone can see..
Either solid rock formed a lot more recently than we think it did, or those are not cart ruts. If the rock was solid then cart wheels could not do that. There are no foot or hoof prints. That leaves a superheated sled as the device that melted into the rock. The surfaces are polished.
Mahabharat times have been multiply correlated to be about 5165 BCE, on the basis of the vedas, puranas and astronomical data therein. Some of the same astronomical data is mentioned in the Mahabharata, which narrows down the period very closely.
Just in case nobody noticed, "Cart ruts" usually have something pulling it, Where are those prints? No push\pull indention left behind with the "Cart Ruts" leaves us with no option but to conclude the "Cart" was powered by some other means. I keep telling everybody, Its the Annunaki! They had to have SOME kind of tech, besides footwear! just like I tell people, Enoch (or the dude that was tasked to measure a building for the watchers, was taken to puma punku!) but, I digress. Something powered had to be involved with the "Cart Ruts" or foot prints of SOMETHING would be left behind with them. What do you think?
08:23 how wide apart are those wheels on the stone chariot? 🤔
I am curious as to how closely the center distance measures up with Malta and Sardinia?

Does anyone know for sure what type of rock we’re looking at here? I can’t imagine, if they are actually cart ruts, that they’re in an igneous formation. If so we’re gonna have to rethink our idea of what made them. I’ve always assumed most of them were made when the rock was in a mud stage, the same wouldn’t apply with lava 🤷♂️
Cart ruts in Pompeii, you can easily find the pictures online.
The whole mystery is as simple as carts slowly grinding ruts over years.
When it rains, does the water just sit there or does it run like a creek?

The carvings look like battle scenes. One looks like a fighter throwing objects with two helpers handing them throwables.
3 : 50 Center of frame looks like a CART of some kind being pulled by some Animal but strangely I couldn't see FOOTPRINTS between the RUTS ?
4;29 look at the center, then do u see a 9 at the 2 clock position? under the 9 to the left there is a 6 separated by a line. the line is a part of the 3 that wraps around the 9 and the 6 . 369 tech Tesla was talking about.

There is a Sikh temple (now in Pakistan) called punja sahib. It has a hand inprint of Guru Nanaks hand in solid rock.

How does the width of the ruts, and the space between compare to the ones everywhere else?
We have this kart markings at our farm house too in vikarabad south india deep in the forest on hard rock 🪨
5:47 but the whole roadside had been quarried away, correct? It is not the natural surface, but a man made road. So, why wouldn't there be tracks of the chariots? The direction seems straight and alongside the quarried roadside, making it rather logical.
It cannot match the haphazard way the cart ruts are laid out in the "Clapham Junction" on Malta.
These have been explained in Spain as volcanic ash that was softer when the ruts were put there, then rained upon. Is there a volcano near? If an eruption could be dated then you will have the age. ❤ Megalithomania!
Are handicapped folks accommodated on your tours?
Needed a high axle, so did the early warrior chariot have an axle high enough, or did they use the tall cart in the indian sculpture, pulled by elephants? Caro
Ruts from wagons on the Oregon Trail can still be seen. Some even deeper than those shown.Metal wheels are harder than most stone and after much use eventually grind out the path most used.Yawn...😊
Both the Ruts and the carvings look to me like they have been pressed in to the Basalt when it was moleten! The carvings of the 'writing' in particular appears to be like made using stamps - like you would use to create engravings with a steel spamp and a hammer in to the rock when it was softer....
If they go from high to low it’s probably an irrigation canal to move water to crop/reservoirs
You find the same in malta They end up going into the ocean
There is the chariot, trams, narrow gauge rail (3 ft. 6 1/2") debate. Considering the long term use of roads, I myself would use the same distance between wheels, if building a cart.
Has anyone measured the Indian stone chariot to see if it's an exact match to the spacing of the wheels to the with of the wheels?
it was mud before solidified into basalt rock... which makes this sites into much older than its claim
This was an important trade route of the ancient India,, and the ruts were made by bullock carts, buffalo drawn carts and horse drawn carts.
Yes Cart ruts make lasting impressions. In fact Railway tracks were laid over long lasting Roman Chariot ruts in UK.
Show us the walls you mentioned!!!
has anyone done comparative analysis with similar phenomena found around the world ?
I think they are for water disposal
When I was a kid we were on a family road trip out west and a location we went to had 'wagon' ruts they were supposed to be from pioneers they were carved down a small hill in solid rock at the base of this hill was a paved over area for the tourist accommodations the out buildings and parking facilities im sure there was nothing of interest were they conveniently built up thier tourist facilities....hmmm?

Unfortunately people make the mistake of thinking that "Krishna" the "Mahabharata" etc are all fables etc. thanks in no uncertain terms to the Muslim invaders and especially the English who tried to disprove Vedanta by giving it a creation point of just a few thousand years because of (many reasons) including how inconvenient if it were found out that India was a super civilization that's been in existence for many more thousands of years long before Christendom and Jewish and even Sumerian as well as Gobekli Tepe etc... So they came up with a B.S. argument about certain predictions like the coming of Lord Buddha which they couldn't conceive of it being a prediction so they tried to date Vedanta as being brought about after that happened etc. Lord Krishna being the one actual Supreme being coming down to Human level (out of compassion) and also to delight followers isn't within their realm of possibilities. Oh they might say a Supreme being wouldn't or even couldn't appear here among humans because he's too inconceivable and we couldn't see his Mightiness as if such a supreme being can't do anything like that. Well He can He did and does do this very thing! Granted that envious people couldn't appreciate Him or whatever because they're not qualified to know such things as He causes it to be so based on their desire to be in competition with that very being. So my CZcamsr critics have at it now and if Youseless tube allows my post to stand then have at it envious foolish people that say "God can't do this or that" thing and to them I say who are You to put a limit on what He can or cannot do? Then all Your supposed meanings of the word God are wacked way out of reality because a supreme being can and does whatever He wants!
Nonsense. Modern historians have no such bias and plenty of arguments from a variety of different disciplines to come to their conclusions.
It's the other way round. The proponents of this ancient vedic india idea are the ones desperately trying to prove their point by ignoring every bit of evidence while relying on the most far fetched wishful thinking as 'evidence'.
The time of Krishna can be identified though this is a little bit complicated. According to the Srimad Bhagavatam a certain Danava king called Salwa attacked Dvaraka while Krishna was absent. When he came back and learned about the attack, he went off to fight the Danavas. In this connection is told that the Danavas lived on an island in the north.
This fight against the Danavas is confirmed by the irish tradition. They call the Danavas Tuatha de Danan. The Danavas were children of the river goddess Danu, already mentioned in the Rigveda. The Greeks call this river Eridanos and it was the border river between Europe and Hyperborea of which Great Britain and Ireland was a part. Also the Tuatha de Danan are said to be children of the goddess Danu. The Irish tell this story in connection with their colonization of Ireland. They came originally from Greece which they had to leave because of violence of the Greek.
Until here it is not possible to date this events. But an ancient greek historian Dionysios of Halikarnassos under reference to Myrsillos confirmed the Irish tradition about their expulsion from greece. In his record this took place after the later Irish people (which he calls Pelasgeans, which are also called Tyrrhenians and later Etruskians) build the wall round the acropolis in Ur-Athens. This is confirmed by Herodot with reference to Hekataios. Also this wall is mentioned in Platons dialog Kritias and this makes it possible to date it because this wall was build before the war of Atlantis with Ur-Athens which is dated by Platon at about 9500 BC. Because of this the war of Krishna against the Danavas must have happened roughly at this time. If the submergence of Dvaraka after the death of Krishna was connected to the flood in which Atlantis was submerged this can be specified to 9000 BC.
@@penoge Interesting how You describe such histories. However the truth is that Krishna being a supreme being and even says so in Bhagavad Gita "Never was there a time when I did not exist nor You nor any of these kings" The soul is eternal everlasting and primeval and is not slain when the body is slain. So Krishna didn't die doesn't die He just goes on to another universe to enact similar pastimes because he wishes to remind foolish souls wound up in the trap of illusion that they're making a mistake.
@bobwatkins1760 That means you have never read the stories about him. According to the Srimad Bhagavatam he was born in the Dvapara yuga (the age before our own) as the son of Vasudeva and Devaki. That's the beginning of his existence. On the other hand he is an incarnation (more precisely an enhancement) of Vishnu who is in fact living through all ages, though even about him a Purana gives a time when he was born and another says he was born in the course of time as a son of Brahma. And Vishnu is not "the soul" of every being as the translations have it, not even the spirit (jiva). "Paramatma" means that he is the universal odem of lifes (Atma) which according to the Upsnishads is the "silent witness". That means he is observing our actions and thinking without commenting on it and that means he is the storage of our Karma which rules the incarnations of our spirit (jiva) while the soul is only living once.
Vishnu is the Paramatma (the odem of lifes) because the universe is inside him who is the Purusha (the cosmic body). Physicalli: "space" is called the extension inside of a body. We live in space and therefore in a world body. That's what the Hindus mean, which also the Bible confirms. In Genesis 1 Elohim (identical with Brahma) in connection with the creation of the "sons of god" (sons of Elohim) is shown to have a human body. In Genesis 2 the odem of lifes is called Neshama in Hebrew which is derived from the root shama, meaning hearing.

My pet theory: one channel was for a positive charged wire, the other for a negative wire. The wires have long since oxidized, leaving us with just impressions of the ancients electricity/data grid.
the clearance must have vert high for a chariot? anyone who has been around a lot of horse trails would wonder why the horses left no worn ditch like they do ? a couple of horses or oxen are as heavy as the cart and rider? their hooves dig deep and make ruts on trails.
Has anybody figured out what it would take to make these cart ruts? I recon pulling a regular cart of the type peasants would use to take their stuff to market over most types of rock once wouldn't leave anything noticeable. The same sort of carts going over the same rock many times, perhaps over centuries, would that do it? Would the rock need to be soft? Would the carts need to be ridiculously heavy? There are some similar ruts in North America (one lot's in the Cypress Hills in Alberta, Canada) which are put down to early European settlers but I'm not sure that isn't just an assumption.
I remeber seeing a stone in shaolin temple with a upside down dome several inches deep in it.
Monks practiced the same kung fu move on the same spot for hundreds of years.
Heavy carts would do the job a lot quicker, especially if they had iron plated wheels.
Cart ruts in Pompeii < search for those images and you'll see the same, in a well documented time and place.
