According to Vedas in Yuga cycle the ages see a gradual decline of dharma, wisdom, knowledge, intellectual capability, life span, emotional and, physical strength.
Satya Yuga - Virtue reigns supreme. Human stature was 21 cubits (33 ft 6 inches). Average human lifespan was 100,000 years.
Treta Yuga - There was 3 quarter virtue and 1 quarter sin. Normal human stature was 14 cubits (22 ft 4 inches). Average human lifespan was 10,000 years.
Dwapara Yuga - There was 1 half virtue and 1 half sin. Normal human stature was 7 cubits (11 ft 2 inches). Average human lifespan was 1,000 years.
Kali Yuga - There is 1 quarter virtue and 3 quarter sin. Normal human stature is 3.5 cubits (5 ft 3 inches). Average human lifespan will be 100 years.
In the present days we may be said to live in a Kali Yuga, which is said to have started in 3102 BCE with the end of the Mahabarata(Dwapra). This date is also considered by many Hindus to be the day that Lord Krishna left Earth and went to abode

That's not phallus in sanskrit Lingam has many meanings not only phallus or gender, Lingam also means Signifier of shiva
Example the name very common in south India Rama Lingam so dose it means rama's phallus, no but it Signify Rama.

    • @Vunderbread

@@amartyabanerjee4918 Yeah, I realized after I posted the comment that "phallus" was not the appropriate term here. "Shaft", maybe. The caduceus symbol, etc.
It makes little sense for the soul to be wound tightly around the phallus, but the notion is a bit funny =)

Could these temples be what they evolved into from the more square temples and such, like Machu Picchu or Osireion temple? It is an interesting idea.

Just for clarity, all lingams are a physical representation of Shiva. He is nirguna and saguna, with and without form. The Lingam is his physical form, and the lingam only represents Shiva. Nagas aren't always integrated into a lingas design, but many times they are. Yes it is said to represent a phallic shape, but it also represents a blazing column of light, with no end to its top or bottom. Shiva made it smaller so that we may appreciate it.

It's part of your ancient history as well. Ancient European and Mediterranean pagan societies, along with the entire ancient human civilization across the globe, were spiritually and scientifically very advanced.

I loved to see this video. But a few corrections in your narrative. Firstly this place is not in the state of Tamil Nadu but in Andhra Pradesh. Secondly scripts carved there are either in Telugu language and in Kannada language. At least whatever I saw in the video they are not in Sanskrit language. What I wanted to see you did not focus much was the paintings on the ceilings. It could have given a good idea of how the people of bygone days looked like and the type of dress they were wearing, their hair style, the colours of their clothings etc. Thanks for your lovely video of Lepakshi temple.
