Justin Hornback I was wondering if anyone would notice that
I agree with Jess, the way Hamilton lives his life is great for the sport. If it wasn’t for him I would’ve never discovered F1. I’m from the US where almost no one knows or cares about F1 and it’s been extremely refreshing to discover a sport and watch one of the greatest drivers of all time race. Shout out to any other F1 fans from the US!
Tbh Vettel lost it at Germany. But has bottle it ever since monza
Logic completely agree, Vettel was exposed at Germany and has looked fragile ever since
He has won 4 championchips and we all were fucking pissed cause nobody except alonso had a chance. Once he has the fastes car again f1 will be shit again. Lets just enjoy it while it lasts.
pimpin magician of prophecy
Umm Hamilton has won 3 of the last 4 championships.
He didn't bottle Singapore, the merc was quicker. The pendulum swung back. It would be nice for the title to go all the way, but I think hamilton will have it all but won after the next 2 races
@@pimpinmagicianofprophecy He has the fastest car, but back in the day he had the fastest car BY A MILE and had the best team. So let's take joy in these times
Love how matt caleed hamilton a cry baby when hes loosing... but loves Schumacher who won a title by ramming a rival, and lost another when tried to ram them too
Make a WTF1 sponsored GoFundMe page to make Ocon Racing a team with WTF1 sponsorship logos and Matt's face screaming on the nose.
We could probably do the strategy based on likes on comments and we would probably have better strategy than Ferrari! Let's do this get on it!
If you can find 200 million plus then go for it
team slogan: "WHAT'S MY PASSWORD????
Germany was Vettel's losing the championship event. He was destroyed emotionally after that mistake.
Great content guys keep it up love the podcast
Shout out to the person who drew the pictures on the whiteboard.
Great podcast as usual!
Hamilton is one of the greatest. He started 35% of his races on pole. Let that sink in. About 30% he won! Tho I have to say, yes he had the luck to be in the right car, but still. You can’t argue does numbers.
Daan Wmn He's also finished on the podium 57% of the time
With what car? Mercedes 14,15,16,17? Doesn't impress me at all.
It's not over yet but Hamilton is pretty much already deserving of the championship. I feel that unless Vettel goes 2013 mode and wins every race remaining he doesn't deserve this championship. For him to win I think Hamilton needs mechanical failures which isn't how I want the championship to be decided.
Well Lewis "didn't deserve" that win in Germany. Cutting the pit lane, on the grass and across the track. What a Joke FIA is along with Pro-Lewis who tends to forget any mistake or luck that he gets.
In 2008 Massa deserved the title. IMO Massa is 2008 WDC. Glock gifted Lewis with that last turn position swap.
That's how F1 worked for that last 50 years. Bad luck, good luck, cheats, mechanical failure, team orders.
Name one Champion that never did wrong within his winning season?
hamzterix, so by that logic Lewis should have won the title in his rookie year and 2016!
@@pr-tj5by Yes, but my point is in F1 there's no such a "he deserves to win" or "he was unlucky, mechanical failure". You win or you lose. Simple.
But if we keep bringing up could of, should of, would of. Then all vice champions gets credits too.
@@hamzterix, but you're the one who just brought up "should and could" you've just contradicted your first thread, anyway who is your guy??
hamzterix Glock didn’t “gift” Hamilton anything, he had dry tyres on a wet track, Hamilton was seconds faster and it was only a matter of time for him to catch him
Thanks again, great podcast. Lot of fun :)
I love your podcast's so much. Great chat
Lewis is not a crybaby, he is passionate, he will share his honest feelings when he loses and wins.
Hamilton vs Vettel is our generation's Senna v Prost, Schumacher v Hakkinen, Hunt v Lauda. This is history in the making.
Not really. Lewis vs rosberg is our generations senna vs prost.
Fair enough, but that doesn't make HAM VS VET any less exciting.
More likely hamilton v Leclerc or Verstappen.
@@jollyjohnston1984Wrong.
From a talent standpoint it's really Lewis and Alonso but in terms of being the two most successful, it's Lewis and Sebastian.
Hamilton won the title on Saturday after he shat on ferarri
Gabriel Gilliard I reckon one more win and Vettel will be defeated
Wow thanx for the shout out Matt 👍😀
Talking about blowing up after a crash: Remember Schumacher rushing to DC's pit box for a fight? :) I'm almost inclined to think it's bit of the French culture that Ocon stayed "matured" about it. You could also see bit of that attitude with Leclerc.
Because the 1998 championship was on the line for Schumacher. It was an idiotic act but who'd blame the guy for being livid. He was leading the wet race by a huge margin and suddenly DC hasn't moved from the racing line and slowed down dangerously instead...
Good chat guys keep it light hearted
You are improving
Vroom Vroom Room! Let me hear you say Way-oh!
Gonna need one of you on with us live at some point, makes it very different when you;'re put on the spot and I think the viewers would love it.
Jonty's Corner *hand rub*
Why would they want to do that?
Who the hell are you?
KyiFFA Because it's a better channel.
Way oh
The title of your seventh podcast looks nice. :) I live for these podcasts btw.
Perez crashed into Ocon because of that Sirotkin got debris and made early pit stop and Perez after his bad managed pit stop occurred behind Sirotkin. What a Karma.
But i think that at monza when Perez tried to push Magnussen off the track it was imo his fault as well
I agree with Jess : Bottas back to Williams and Ocon to Mercedes, definitely !
Love your channel’s name. Just brilliant.
It's over. Hamilton will win at least 4 out of the next 6 races. He is a beast at COTA and the japanese grand prix tends to favour mercedes. So no. Vettel won't win the next remaining races.
SamuelGamer9 I predict he will win in Russia Japan Us and Brazil and the championship will be decided in Brazil.
Exactly
@@maxwellhirsch4384 I see a repeat of 2017 again, so I say Mexico is pretty likely.
Disclaimer: this is totally not taken from autosport. Jean Todt and the FIA probably have a say in car design which could explain why the Formula E Gen 2 cars and the F1 concepts look similar. Also, they're both just really nice looking designs
I don't like Hamilton, I never did and probably never will. But THIS Hamilton is a monster and I have to admit, when he gets in this kind of mind state, he truly is a champion. Seb on the other hand, he's got a lot of flaws, but I really love the guy. To see him so deflated is extremely sad and I hope he can get his head up and give Lewis a good fight until the end, even if we lose the championship, I hope Seb can at the very least say he's given everything and be proud of himself.
I’m really not a fan of Lewis either, because of his “American-celebrity-character” . But he drove like a God the few races. How much I want Vettel to win this championship, Lewis and Mercedes are just getting it right on the times they need to
You are simply the best thing that happened to the F1.
2:42
The death stare from Tommy was hilarious. He's as scary as a pink t towel! Lol
Stick with your instincts Jess, you were right Karthikeyan did race with Schumacher he made his F1 debut with Jordan in 2005
Just want to add tho still love all your content 👍
He even finished within 3 places of Schumacher! 😂
I think Karthikeyan raced Schumacher in 2005 , 10 and 11
Vasisht Vasudevan it was 11 and 12 at HRT but yeah you’re right he did race with Schumacher in his second career too 👊
best video intro ever
Hamilton is the king of risk management. He rarely makes a mistake on track. NOTELLN = 1722 pts.
Perez shunted into Sirotkin like "consume my car"
I miss Ali on the podcast!
A BAD driver in a GOOD car can lose 1 second per lap.
A GOOD driver in a BAD car can lose 3 seconds per lap.
That is why I have a hard time determining who is "great" or not.
But good car or not... Lewis's pole lap at Singapore was insane!!
Not over till it’s over. Looking like Hamilton’s championship but anything could happen.
What could happen vettal losing
Shoorit Vettel will have to win every race while Hamilton has a complete fall off. Not at all likely to happen.
A DNF for Hamilton and it's everything back on... Granted it could happen to Vettel as well
Yep, 1 DNF and a charge from Ferrari and it’s wide open. 150 points still available as well.
Shoorit Yes, anything can happen. Lewis is very polished driver but there are many different factors that can come into play, in racing.
The room is called Raidillon actually
No it is actually their office which is in 144A Clerkenwell Road at White Bear Yard
Kidslovef1 how do u know
Maximilian Fuchs no it's not
Its on their website
The concept cars look great!
I think sirotkin will win
This podcast was silly and I loved it
I just looked it up because I didn't believe you're right, turns out Kathikeyan raced Schumacher. In fact, Schumacher started in EVERY race Kathikeyan started (seasons 2005, 2011, 2012)
Seeing what I saw in 32:23 and beyond, in the next race rundown of the internet best reactions, you should put Jess in charge hahahaha. That would be great
Mika Häkkinen: "Naturally everyone commented on this pole position lap, but I think Max Verstappen’s performance to put the Red Bull second on the grid, and only 0.3s behind Hamilton, was also very impressive. Considering that the Red Bull does not have the engine performance of the Mercedes, this was a really good effort."
Did u know the dutch people from ziggo sport in the netherlands actually calculated What verstappen lost in straight line speed, it was like 0,4
Tijcho Braxhoofden 0.45 sec loss because of the engine, 0.31 of pole. And his second Q3 run was even faster but the engine went into neutral in the last few corners again, he was 0.2 up by that time so he could’ve gotten pole
Today I realised you can use Galagher as audio name in F1 2018 :3
Worst employee of the month Matt 😂😂😂😂 what have you done this time Matt
Statistics and greatests~wise. For me, personally, Ayrton Senna will always be the best driver ever seen in my liftetime. Currently its close between Michael Schumacher and Lewis Hamilton for second there with Prost taking the bronze. But yeah. Different eras very hard to compare. Great discussion, cheers!
Matt, I was the girl you once retweeted when I said you hate Verstappen, and fair enough so because it was a stupid comment of mine, but you aren’t as Verstappen-fan either don’t you??😝😝
Btw I love how tommy almost cried at the begining😂😂😂
Comparing drivers is a very difficult thing to do. Logic doesn't always work in these situations, for example 'Ricciardo beat Vettel in 2014, and Vettel is very even with Hamilton in somewhat equal cars, which means Ricciardo must be world class'. Sometimes you don't gel with your car, sometimes you don't get in the zone for the entire season or a regulation change won't suit you. Without a spec series remaining unchanged for half a century, we will never know who the GOAT is... and even then, it would be disputed. I personally think Schumacher is the third greatest of all time behind Senna and Lewis. But almost everyone will disagree with me.
Yeeay! they read my comment out. It was the Box! Box! Box! comment, not the one by DJ BigPenis.
28:12 Schumacher did in fact race Narain Karthikeyan, 2005 US GP was a classic ;)
I'm happy I got a shout out for my name: The box, box, box.
A little bit about the concept cars, de red bull concept has a 3 on it!
It is not over yet, remember 2007
Or 2012
LOL!!
Erm also may I add to your comments, Narain Karthikeyan raced for Jordan in 2005 and test driver for Williams 2006/2007 so not only are your words sometimes repetitive but Schumacher did race with him
Perez can be forgiven for the t1 crash, but hitting sirotkin was the most idiotic thing this season
I was also a big Damon Hill fan and a Montoya fan, so was never into Schumi, but in the LH vs MS debate; I have to go with Schumi.
LH burst onto the scene in a race-winning car, but threw away the Championship in his first season, losing a 17-point advantage in two races and handing the Drivers' title to a rival team. He then moved to a Mercedes team who fortuitously found an edge in the turbo-hybrid era.
MS served his apprenticeship in lower and midfield teams before winning two seasons in a Benetton, and then moved to one of the worst Ferrari outfits in a generation, and his feedback helped make that a Championship-winning car.
I appreciate that there was much more testing allowed in the Schumacher era, but that alone surely makes him the GOAT?
the start of this is such a mess, love it
I think it shows the low standards for Verstappen that “he didn’t crash when overtaking” is a compliment for him.
I have just been around the F1 Renualt factory ( video on my channel soon ) I can tell you they are hard at work on next years car I am looking forward to see what Ricciardo can do in it. to see how much detail these carbon fibre wings and winglets are and how they build them to then see Perez smash them to pieces with a crazy move is so bad disrespectful for the people in the factory
Germany put Vettel's chances in the coffin, Monza nailed It shut.
And in Singapore they dug a hole for the coffin.
@@sekhyhybrid6701 and hopefully in Russia they have the funeral service
I'd say China and Baku made the coffin.
@@ajtct98 And it was finished in France, where the chances of Vettel arrived for the coffin in Austria.
In USA they will leave flowers (and tears) on the grave
Instead of this interlude of a design concept for these cars I say go straight into the concepts we all really want to see. The closed cockpit concept versions.
Thank you man. Atleast the right one is honest. The merc is still a bit faster in my opinion.
Ferrari can’t make a strategy
How in the world they thought that pitting Seb early and giving him the softest compound they had was a good strategy when they knew that Hamilton had great tyres and he was just waiting fot Vettel to pit?
Hamilton probably couldnt past him if he got ahead even if his tires were more worn, he had to win the race so they had to do something aggressive. But i agree they bottled it by not waiting till perez was outside the pit window
When the race was so dull you spend nearly three minutes naming a room 😂
Schumi and Cucumber raced together, Cucumber raced in '05. Before he rejoined.
i know that hamilton lap was amazing but pretty sure max was set to bet it til his engine bogged down pretty sure his engine still wasnt properly fixed for the race
I agree with Jess 100% , All Sergio fault.....
In the next podcast do you think you could talk about American drivers in F1 and why they’re not there? Specially why Haas, the only american F1 team, refuses to sign any talented and qualified american drivers like Josef Newgarden from the IndyCar Series?
Matt after seeing qualy: "I'M SEEING THAT LAP!"
KeksnussSC I miss YT championship man, nothing better then getting home from school and watching it
I'm gonna say something that NASCAR people have been saying forever. "It's not over... until is OVER" As long as it's possible by points, then it can happen
Oauuu... I just saw the replay of the start from onboard Perez and he litteraly just straitened the car just to take out Ocon. Go check it out!
15:11 Perez's Fault
You know the race was a borefest when half the podcast was about Hamilton living his life and Schumacher's records. (Not hating on the podcast it still kept me engaged though)
The only prediction that you can confidently make is that Ali will get mad towards the end of every podcast because of the time limit.
why does it take 2:35 till to start the actual podcast?
You said that Hamilton is the only driver to have a brand, what about Alonso with kimoa, his karting school, his museum... No hate against you, just mentioning it
Perez vs Ocon - this was deliberate imho. It's no secret that the 2 don't get along. And, it's no secret that Perez has done this before....
Ocon might not have a seat in f1 next year but he will definitely be in a Mercedes alongside Lewis in 2020.
Cough, cough, Wehrlein, cough
Schumacher did race Kartikheyan actually, 2011 and 2012 ;)
The thing is that the drivers already are brand ambassadors for the brand of the car they're driving in.
Why is the comment section filled with Indian guys complimenting jess 😂
*she cute tho*
Daniel Holderik we indians arent used to having girls intrested in formula one could be a reason i guess🤔😜
Shray Narang hmmm
Yeah honestly. Matt gets no love
Shray Narang we Indians aren’t used to ANYONE liking Formula one
@@vishrutshah8419 exactly
I’m waiting for-
No more team orders Kimi
The podcasts are the best on this channel. Can we have some gaming videos though
I'm a Hamilton fan but I have to say that I did not know how good Rosberg was until he left.
Also. Verst'Happened is brilliant. Hashtag that thing
Why do I keep hearing the "OOF" sound at the end of every team radio?
What do you make of the Formula E? Cars so similar so driver reliant on ability! i.e, Both Vettel and Hamilton in Merc or Ferrari?
Russian GP predictions
1) zac brown calls someone a "racer"
2) Christian honer speaks negativly about the power unit currently in the redbull
3)Putin isn't at the grand prix
Jess I really love you 😍😍😍
You could sign off with a play on TTFN with TTF1 ( That's, Ta Ta For Now!)
I'm naming my first daughter Jess thanks to WTF1
Postman Pat also thanks you 😎
You kids are so cute, I remember believing El Maestro - J M Fangio would never be caught with his 5 championships.
I'm a Mercedes fan but I think Ferrari has so much hope with Leclerc next season
As Aarava said, Perez's controller disconnected
Let’s see what the aliens say about that 😏
I think sirotkins race was overrated considering the fact that bottas couldn't even stay within 1 second of hulkenberg while lapping him. He had some fine moments but all things considered we could stick Matt into a f1 car and have him drive around Singapore and watch a train of cars form
What's going on with Ferrari's 2nd part of the season seems like the Alonso era all over again: good start of the year, loose the championship in the second. (albeit for slightly different reasons)
I see this podcast because of Jess, do not interrupt when she speaks.
Sorry Jess but Vettel was 4 seconds behind Lewis when Vettel pitted, the Ultra took 2 laps to warm up so how was Seb going to make up the 4 seconds even without getting past the team mate assassin.
Perez also got 3 points on his licence bringing it too 9.
Formula 1Fan, You're right about Max cos if he was Vettel's team mate he would take him out like Danny R took Vettel out at Red Bull and I'm a Lewis fan !
I’m only 3 minutes in and I lauging too hard😂
