If Kimi also retires with Alonso team radio comments will be boring!
Verstappen can take over 😄
Himath Bodhinayaka riccardo has good team radios as well
Kimi and Alonso retiring on the same year would be too much to bear.
One of them needs to be offered a contract at Ferrari. Can you imagine *Alonso* driving that *beast* of a car?
WHAT A MENTAL GUY
All verstappen does is complain about the fia, and he’s not even correct half the time
Ricciardo doesn’t make it far enough into races and he will most likely be midfield in 2019

f1 its a theatre not a sport...and that front wing change its sooo more different than drs some year ago? do you think will change something better next year? i dont think soo, you see the gap from merc and ferrari? next year will be worst
i will change to nascar that to for sure not becasue they going on oval...but because of the save of the push of the drive with a knife in the teeth...f1 its really become a game for the rich where they go and make money with some bet...
jos verstappen friend of michael...thats why we love max...
Don't really think losing the race was Raikkonen's fault considering the state of his tires.
Ferrari pitted him too early after Mercedes dummy stops that they're apparently free to do and he was backed up by Bottas because Vettel was nowhere after failing to defend against Hamilton because he was too eager to get past Kimi. Both Ferrari drivers said after the qualifying in interviews that Kimi was allowed and would be expected to race for a win, Vettel threw it all away trying to get past on lap one instead of biding his time and trying to get team orders when a Ferrari 1-2 was secured.
Despite Raikkonen being treat like ass by the team, from damaging race strategy to ignoring driver feedback and getting a retirement in Spa because Raikkonen said the car felt broke and they ignored it, he's still 3rd in the championship. I don't understand how Raikkonen is "past it" with that in mind.
Also completely agree with the theater aspect of F1 in terms of booing. I don't partake in it and used to be unfond of it, but the reality of the sport is that when you're at your home GP you are the hero, the support will be overwhelming, when you're playing the villain at the opponents home GP you ARE the villain for the day.
The drivers are being paid millions for doing their job, the audience shouldn't be obliged to pay homage ontop of that.
He was trying to keep the both of them being passed by Hamilton , and failed. What else was he supposed to do, let Hamilton through?
@@minigungaming5915 if Vettel have not decided to try to pass kimi on the 2nd chicane, he probably would have been able to defend from Hamilton and keep Kimi in 1st and him in 2nd, while Hamilton was still in 3rd. After this it would just be a matter of team play and both helping each other to not allow Hamilton to overtake. Vettel still had 52 laps to overtake Kimi, if that was the case, so I don't know the rush on that 1st lap move...
+Blockah Wrong. Mercedes would have kept Bottas out in this situation as well. Lets rewind it: Hamilton pits before Kimi and undercuts him, Hamilton then catches up to Bottas who is staying out on worn out tires, Bottas lets Ham through and then blocks Kimi who is behind him. Hamilton increases gap and wins the race. As you can see both situations yield the same result, Mercedes won the race thanks to Bottas acting like a roadblock. Nothing Ferrari could have changed by pitting before or after, as a matter of fact Kimis pit stop was phenomenal at only 2.2sec so if anything his toxic fans should be praising the Ferrari pit crew instead of always talking shit. Once Vettel crashed out Ferrari was fucked, there were no safety cars or rain to help out like what happened to Hamilton both in Silverstone and Hockenheim.
And don't forget Bottas blocking him.
KIMI'S TYRES END OF STORY
You should call the room: The Box, Box, Box.
McKracken good one mate
I disagree with the statement of Vettel being back in the championship battle for the first time since his Red Bull days. He was properly in the championship battle last year at this point as well and it was only his crash in Singapore that for the first time in last season clearly gave Hamilton the upper hand.
just make the rule clear(im play fair but you not they just racing without knowing what its good to do and whats it not).. the rule and some telmetry not all this bunch of video from f1 just do put away my comment...you in the middle how many touch and bang come from nascar turn around loosing race ecc...no penalty....just make clear....everyone else else adapt...for everythink else you say dont care at this point its better nascar.....you compllain to the media but you know the rule of the sport....and from my little understanding team order are in the rule...about verstappen that i love mercedes vs redbull...you just pass him because of the penalty with a better car...what a shame become f1 a little touch 5 sec...bunch of pussy...
if vettel was play fair because of rule hamilton doesnt...we are not all sundey bunch of guy someone of us racing and they know...they should show us some telemetry so everyone know what they talking about...and if you think irvine barichello ecc they used by ferrari well go watch some telemetry of schumacher.....not just a lot word...so you can make and understandable podcast...booing from tifosi all over the world again its just a shame podcast..no vroom just going to the wave of everyone else saying...history of hamilton its just the same history of stroll....Vandoorne 26y old.....really not an f1 driver...at 32 can come back and show everyone else how its should be done to win a championship

7:46 No, Jess, no we don't! You change your tune every time depending on the team. I refer everyone back to her comment on the Hungarian GP Podcast when Bottas punted Ricciardo due to "understeer".
Devan Kriel bottas and vettel both 100% at fault
@@LiamNorgate95 I disagree with the fact that Vettel was purely at fault, but rather I would say Vettel put himself in the position to allow for a racing incident to happen that ruined his race.
Vettel shouldn't have tried to overtake Kimi.
It's not just her, they all change their tune regarding the circumstances.
Of course they change their opinion because of the circumstances, that’s the point. Vettel made a mistake in turn two with fresh tires and a heavier car, Bottas tires were shot and he was defending heavily
It wasn’t Kimi’s fault, Ferrari pitted him to early because Mercedes faked pitstops.
It is remarkable how they can bring together awesome R&D engineers and such an incompetent pitbox crew. How many screwups this season thus far...?!
Kinki Wankinen that's so sketch of Mercedes honestly the FIA should do something
It is actualy liiegal to fake a pitstop like that but the FIA doesnt want to notice it or something
They weren't faking a pit stop. They said to Hamilton "do the opposite of Kimi", Kimi pit so Hamilton stayed out. Teams have been doing that for years.
LowFeelsBlvd they did it 3 times in that race...
Jess looking fine

if you cant hand opposition than why do you race in a competitive scene?
hammy stopped eating meat, so now hes turned into a bigger pussy than before lol
If you didnt get any reaction then whats the point of having home town races
I won’t go to Italy as a Merc fan because Italians are hooligans and I’d fear for my safety.
Drivers should only be worried when there's silence.. At that point Nobody gives a fuck about you anymore... and your days are numbered.

Hahah!
For me, Baku still take's the cake this year. Or Austria, or China.
You know what? This season is amazing! :-)
Baku and China was crazy!
"They allowed their slower driver to be on pole".. What? Call me stupid, but I thought you get on pole by setting fastest qualifying time in Q3? How the heck "slower" driver got on pole? Like Vettel couldn't get draft from mercedes.. and difference was almost 0,2s..
The yoke room
wouldn't a steering wheel fit better than a yoke or did you want to write joke and did it wrong?
Hope this won't be kimi's last chance to win a race. It would be a massive shame if he doesn't win a race again. Simillar to mark webber not winning a race after multi 21. :(
There are still several tracks that fit Kimi very well and he could take victories. Suzuka as one.
@@jarigustafsson7620 Thank you Sweden for your support towards kimi from Finland!
Kimi is 3rd in the championship. That's bloody impressive, he's still one of the best (if not THE best) on the grid. I cannot understand why people want Kimi gone.
If Ferrari bring a new kid in place of Kimi, the new driver won't be winning podiums any time soon. Plus Kimi is a great compliment to Seb Vettel's bid for the championship. I pray Ferrari keep Kimi for another year or two. One of the last greats in F1 (incl. Alonso).

NO ONE IS TALKING ABOUT THE FACT WILLIAMS SCORED POINTS WITH BOTH CARS!!!
Strongly disagree with Jess on boo'ing. Weak sauce. Competition isn't sunshine and rainbows and hugs.
David Hudson yeah but boo’ing during the national anthem? that’s disrespectful
ofeplayer Your god damn right.
good chat guys! enjoyed it
I will say this, Vettel's temper is suspect and that's what will kill his chances, it's totally Lewis' to lose no matter what he says on the contrary. The weight on a driver's shoulders to deliver for Ferrari eventually grinds them down if they don't. And we're seeing that play out now.
I want to throw some thoughts here hopefully not toxic fans will see em.
Let’s go to the qualification. You are not giving enough credit to KIMI for the lap. He didn’t make a single mistake. Well deserved fastest lap in the F1 History and I will argument with you why. Because HAM was pulled by BOT right , then VET was behind HAM but he left too much space between them and also made some mistakes. I think was absolutely fair KIMI to fight VET and HAM like real champ in the race for his win and he did it although Ferrari clear messed up with the strategy with the lack of data about the Soft types.
In general I think Ferrari are losing the championship not by car deficit or drivers errors in the season so far , but the problem is the management and the strategies in every race. They screwed up so many times both drivers during the season. Honestly Mercedes just playing they cards better up to this point. Yeah everyone made mistakes, VET , HAM, RAI , BOT. But it’s clear who is in the lead even with slightly less powerful car.
Also I don’t supp the 2nd driver thing. I know it’s a team sport and Ferrari have done it with almost every driver since 98’ but tell me that .. did anyone liked it?! No! And that’s the reason they have changed the things, and fair play for that, although clearly Mercedes are gaining advantage from the same management. And still no one likes BOT to be clear wingman..
sorry for my bad English and thanks for the opportunity to chat about the F1 topic
The room should be called Tommy's little cubby hole
I just watched getting dark slowly behind Jess while listening to you guys.
All I’m saying is that Ferrari have cost both drivers points from strategies
Same with mercedes and not pitting under safety car etc.

Audio tip: compress the audio file. Easy, effective. Better to listen to. All the best to you. Till next time.
3 cars a team is a bad idea. you will have the top 9 filled with Mercedes, Ferrari and red bull. and only 1 place for the points for the rest. + if there is a team dominating they have 3 cars on the podium every race.

@Jess Has every pilot gone onto the run-off area of the first chicane during the weekend? :p
Hi guys, you made fair points regarding the booing. However, I think it is worth mentioning the fact that italians were disgusted by the strategies that mercedes used to win: fake pit stops, the blatant use of Valtteri wingman Bottas, and finally that parade... Far too much.
All right, keep up the good work you guys!
ciao from Italy, country of beautiful cars
I like Kimi, and I still think he's an excellent driver. How many podiums does he have this year? A lot. Even though they weren't P1. Monza was a really great race, I thought. I don't understand folks who say it was boring. Great job, lady and gents. I enjoy listening to you all, and never come away without learning something. Cheers!
Disagree with the fact that Lewis has stopped blaming the team over the radio. I mean did you watch the first part of the season (China)
Vettel is the only one to lay blame on.. I hope he apologized..
This season already looked like Kimi’s last chance...
The only reason Ferrari to keep him is because they don’t want to risk on Juniors...?
It's only rumours, but some say Charles has a seat in Ferrari already, and they informed Kimi about it last weekend. Just didn't want to announce it yet because he did such a great job at qually. So if Kimi doesn't care anymore, why would he let Vettel pass him easly? Unless they firmly tell him to do so. And it looked like that at the beggining, so this rumours may be true imo.
by which logic did he then get a contract in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017? This year he is actually driving well and being quite consistent..
He’s been consistent practically every year. He has been a constant points getter for Ferrari. I know he may not be winning races but when Fernando and Seb were behind the pace, he’s been up there near the front.
The reason to keep Kimi is to have someone that is competent, but also is willing to step aside for Vettel.
As a Kimi fan I said he should've been done after his awful first return season with Ferrari. He has been underwhelming each year, like you said, except for this one. Of course the one year he actually deserves to be re-signed he will probably be shown the door.
Can you do more sponsors and prizes like this one 🙏
Great conversation as always. Do any of you think that Kimi moved to cut off Vettel at the start rather than Lewis was because Ferrari had already told him that he was not being offered a new contract? Like you, I was hoping that he would win so he could give Arrivabene the finger for how Ferrari have treated him since 2014 and then walk away with his head held high. No matter what, Kimi's loyalty to Ferrari has to be applauded.
had this question for weeks, but how on earth have you managed to make condenser mics sound like a £30 headset mic?
Charles isn't ready yet fam
He's ready... To be Vettel's bitch
Charles will always be ready in Matt's eyes
Kinky
He should stay at Sauber for anotyer year.
WTF1 yeah but Charles is like a religion to Matt😂😂😂 I think it’s better for Charles to stay away from Ferrari one more year, go gain more experience
Why don't you make these longer? You're always pressured to speed up and change topics. I could happily just listen to you talking hours
Thanks for picking my comment guys;) I didn't mean to kick Vettel out, but I think if you pick Alonso in that seat, he could easily be ahead
Matts face when Jess said give me more. Mad statement
Kimi was booed as well at Silverstone as well.....
aditya jethi by little segment of people in Silverstone
@@patrickfox8004 still was quite pronounced... Not to level of Hamilton in Monza ofcourse... That was just ridiculous
Next year Spa. If Kimi gets fuel.
kimi needs to help vettel just as bottas does. hamilton is only fighting against vettel, while vettel is batteling aainst ham, bot and kimi...
In my opinion, Ferrari’s strategy was just right, to ensure both cars are ahead of Lewis. Final Q3 run, Seb was behind Lewis and Kimi behind Seb. Unfortunately Seb did not have a clean final run in Q3 and hence didn’t benefit, else it was a clear Seb pole.
Seb wasn’t pleased about it and it kinda indicated that he’d get too anxious at the race start. He just had to focus on keeping Lewis behind in the initial laps, which would let Ferrari have better strategy choices and eventually (even if Kimi was ahead), the swap would happen. Unfortunately, I feel Seb wasn’t thinking of the bigger picture, was impatient and suffered a mishap. All Seb needs to do is, focus on being ahead of Lewis, it’s a bonus for the team if Kimi is in the mix and eventually the team strategy will get played.
Merc did say that Bottas' best race chance was to extend his stint which also helped Hamilton.
Craig Torlay He did finish 3rd after all
Those water glasses are gigantic
Hamilton’s former head mechanic Marc Priestly (F1Elvis) talked about the behaviour of the tifosi at Monza where they weren’t only boo’ed at; they were also spat on, objects were thrown at them. It was at the point where Mclaren advised their staff to not use team issue luggage and clothing/uniform in case Italian customs would go through their gear. Super extreme but also understandable.
Anyone else notice when Jess went to say "yeah" at 3:10 but just sorta mouthed it instead? 😂
I like how at 21:20 they start talking about if you had good races every weekend you would get bored. Watch MotoGP and you will see that is wholly untrue. MotoGP rocks!
They mean well, but their opinions are very innocent sometimes... Tommy seems the most reasonable, and Matt has his moments... and Jess, well, she doesnt shut the fuck up, and most of what she says is childish at best
@@maurofonseca1495
I like the show, I just think MotoGP is more compelling racing.
@@miguelvidal1102 Really ? Moto GP vs Formula 1 ? Thanks for the laughs 😂
interesting point by Jess about Vettel, I have seen a bit of a pattern with him, when he is under pressure to drive rather than being in front as he was for his title wins he tends to make unforced errors, the more pressure the more often the mistakes. FYI Hamilton also knows this and takes advantage, that is why he is winning the championship at the moment. it would be interesting to see Vettels' 2010 season again.

I didn’t realise this was Jess’ podcast, would like to hear Matt and Tommy interject more often.
Talking bout that end of Q3 commentary, have you heard the Finnish coverage?
Bouncing off the walls, he was so happy to see RAI on pole
Jess how about you let the other two talk for a bit? It's alright to ramble, but interrupting Tom multiple times when he's about to say stuff is kind of irritating. Makes this show much more subjective than the sum of your minds suggest.
I would be curious to know her speaking time compared to the guys.
Could a better option for driver numbers/teams be that from the overall prize fund money is allocated to support 2/3 wildcard teams from other racing series to create new F1 teams.
Support them for 1/2 seasons to establish and then they're left to self sustain.
You say you would get used to it but the Indycar season has been as exciting as Monza every race and I can tell you I'm not used to it!
One thing that I didn't understand was how Mercedes was able to hold up so long behind Kimi's car's dirty air? Also, the tyres didn't give up.
If you think David raised his voice, have a look at channel 4's Ben Edwards! He was excited as hell!

I certainly remember Hamilton saying there is no booing in silverstone then the crowd starts booing rosberg when Webber comes to interview him on the podium back in 2016
It should be called “The commentary cupboard.”
15:00 guys dirty air in Monza is not a problem the tow is much more powerful. Think why they were doing the quali with 2 seconds interval from each other. You have no idea if Seb would have gotten away. On Friday Mercedes looked really competitive on race pace anyways, and they knew it would be much closer than in spa
pingoochnl Lewis was only 0.030 seconds behind seb too
@@EvO24 yeah. Actually later in the video they say the tow is really powerful around there, so I don't know what they're doing, just talking for the pleasure of talking or something, but that is so unlogical "analysis"
The Gas Box
In terms of booing. The big issue is why does it only really happen in Monza? If it was acceptable and part of the “theatre” of F1 it would happen everywhere. It doesn’t and it’s out of order.
My three-word podcast review: Jess on fire.
THATS LOLLIPOP MAN'S F1 SKETCH IN THE BACKGROUND
Well yes the green part was off limits, but so many drivers used the green part in Parabolica unpenalised so in my book it's again the FIA being inconsistent
I don't necessarily think Ocon's gone, he's being considered for the Haas seat next year. Especially if Leclerc goes to Ferrari, then again it could be him and Ocon at Haas next year.
There's a gift for anyone who watches the video until 49:33 😂
What if F1 changed the car rules so you can enter anywhere from 1 car to 3 cars? That way small teams can run 1 car and big teams can run 3, and some teams can run 2 if they can but can't afford the 3rd.
People have very short memories In f1 it seems everyone has forgotten Bahrain 2016 when stoffel made his f1 debut he did very well
The booing in Monza was exactly the same as in Silverstone.
Call the room, "The table and whiteboard"
If Ferrari doesn’t appreciate you ability to fight with Hamilton without crashing Kimi, we’d love to see you battle Alonso in Indycar.
I’m a Ferrari hater & loved the boo’s but when Kimi took pole was awesome
To be fair to Verstappen when he said he didn't care if he was loosing time to Vettel, I completely agree with him if you look at the standings: now he is at 130 pts, wich is 29 pts behind Bottas and 12 pts in front of Daniel and Hulkenberg is like a further 66 pts back, so he will most likely finish in fifth or sixth at the end of the season. And when you look at the teams standings, it's pretty much done for Red Bull, they're 3rd and can't get any other places than that. My point is, basically, he can finish his races wherever the hell he wants to, because his position and the one of the team are settled for the rest of the season.
the issue is ferrari gets slated for it, merc praised for it. need some consistency from the world feed
Max likes it more to finish p3 on the track and finish 5th at the ending race results instead of finish p4 on the track and have a small chance of finishing 4th at the ending race results. That's why i like the kid as well.
Surprised you didn't mention George Russell! What will he be doing next year?

Bottas is amazing imo, he managed to keep Kimi behind and allow Lewis to catch up and overtake Kimi, but also after his pit stop he caught up to Verstappen without any problem, and "overtook" him!

Just a thought Jess, but maybe you should let Matt and Tommy do their thing too... You're interupting the guys a lot and I feel like you don't accept it if they have a different opinion. It's not the Jess Podcast, it's the WTF1 Podcast

On the topic of booeing, even though I am not a Hamilton fan, I respect his racing and was amazed when he came back from far back during British gp. I think it's more of fans' way of letting the steam out after he blamed Ferrari of using 'interesting tactics'. I think it's okay to for the fans to vent their opinions by booing someone.
