- J&E Renderings has created an amazing floorplan! Have a look at this 4 bedroom/3 bathroom barndominium that is highly unique. The reason being is that this barndominium could be set up to have more than 6 bedrooms!
For the floorplan, copy and paste this link: janderenderings.com/plans/ols...
Thanks for sharing, and glad you like it! I've actually had a couple people turn the two-car garage into a playroom/mudroom. I plan on creating another version with the two-car being livable space just have not had the time, yet!
Absolutely! I have another one that I am sharing of yours soon. Love the work you do! I also have some plans that I would love for you to render. I also apologize for my mispronouncing the name throughout the video. My dyslexia kicked in hard lol!
Is there any associated budget for this floorplan?
how insulated are the roll up doors ? Can you get ones for northern Climates that keep out wind and snow ?
I would keep 1 car garage on each side and make 3 of the garages into a small apartment for guests or for my oldest child and make a craft room in one garage on the other side.
That is a great idea!
💯
All about how many cars you own I guess
I think my craft room would need at least 3 garages! So go big and take all 4! Lol 😂
I like this plan. I would rotate interior by 90 degrees allowing for clear line of site from the front of the home to the back then I would add an additional glass garage door off the kitchen leading to a large covered back porch.
It’s a good plan! I’d convert the 2 car and maybe the one car next to it into a guest suite with a sitting area and bathroom. As parents get older they have a hard time with stairs
That's a great idea! I would do something similar. I don't have a need for that much garage space.
@@justcreateit9620 I would do an indoor pool area with the gym add a Sauna
This is by far my favorite barndominium build i've ever seen. I love the lay out. It's perfect.
I agree! This has so many options. What I love about it is that this home can easily evolve dependent upon your stages of life.
@@justcreateit9620 A nice videos bro so what's the price on these and check my dogs out
Love it! I see a craft room, pool table rec room, home theater & fitness room! Would use sliding or pocket doors. Don't care for the patio off the primary bedroom.
Yes! There are so many variations that you can do with this. This is also great too because you could make a media room.
This floor plan is perfect for a home woodshop and business. I'm sure you could right off the entire 4 car garage as a business. Perfect.
WOW! This is exactly what Im looking for in a home! Thanks for this video.
Love this as a starter. Like you said there is so much you can do with this. Of course my option. The master bath and closet is to small. Pantry to small. Move kitchen and pantry to right side put pantry in the front garage. Have a door out the side of kitchen with eating grilling and relaxing area with fire place. Have a large island in the kitchen. Dining to the left and living room to the left of the dining. The sink in the end if the island toward the side door to out side. Use a Hugh hutch as part of kitchen. Make real homey Have large fire place in living area. Big chandelier over dinning table That’s my dream anyway.
I agree, the master bath and the closet is too small. I like your layout plan! I personally don't need more than a 3 car bay. One idea I would have would be to have a three car garage and make the other 4th bay into an office with a barn door that opens up into the garage.
Thank you. I've looked for a larger barndominium 2 story with open floor plan and garage bays on both sides. My configuration is totally different but I see the possibilities.
You are welcome! What I love about this is that if you didn't care for garage space you could make this into a 8 bedroom. Pretty insane.
I just keep coming back to this specific build over and over and I think I am in love with it. I would make the two car garage into a room with bath for my in-laws and keep the garage next to it and turn that last garage into a guest room. Then on the left side I’d make the two first garage spaces into a room and bath for my cousin and the remaining two garage spaces into a home theater/media room. Also I’d try to get a shop built with all the necessary space I need for a gym, a man cave, garage spaces for my projects, and etc…
I love these suggestions! Yes, this one is a great floorplan to have a separate space on the opposite side of the home for extended guests. Thank you for the feedback!
This would be perfect for my family. We are a family of 6 so to have enough space for all the kids to have their own room would be great. Plus there would still be room to convert a couple of those bays into a music room & a photo studio.
Yes! This would be perfect for your family! This is the whole reason why I started this channel was to give info and give opportunities for great builds!
I like how you brought up the homeschool room. That’s exactly what I’d make it!
YES!!! It is perfect for that!
Ive never seen one of these and its quite nice in its simplicity. Gives me Utility as Luxury. I would buy!!!!
I love this floor plan. It's perfect.
I think so too!
I can’t thank you enough for that video. We have been contemplating a bardo for some time and there’s very little info. New subscriber!!!!
Thank you very much!!! My whole goal with this channel is for people like yourself who are looking for info! Thank you for subbing! I have more videos to come!
Beautiful house there. I love everything
More bathrooms on the bottom level, thanks for sharing this. Pretty cool!
Absolutely!!
Wow! This is beautiful.
Yes it is!
Love it exactly as you showed it wow I’m impressed
I love the upstairs hallway and the overlook. The downstairs ipen concept is beautiful too. Ive never seen a barndominium build with a basement so it would be nice if one of the garage spaces could be used for storage. I like the front entrance but it doesn't say "welcome home". It looks more like the main entrance to a hotel
I dig barndominiums. But my thing with them is, I’d want one with no garage at all. I’m a big car guy/ outdoorsman and at the moment I have 3 cars, my wife has 1. I think I’d just rather keep the house a house, and the garage a garage. I think this floorpan, the garages on both sides kept as rooms even if you don’t know what your going to make them, in time you’d think of something. Then maybe a carport off one side that you walk under to get to the garage which of course would be another pole barn. That’s my dream right there
I’m with you
I love this,, I would on one end of the house put a big craft area..and and office..I also love the country style sink in the kitchen..I would change the bathroom sink to the ones above the cabinet..that look like square bowls.
I'd move the laundry room to the garage and make space for mudroom/laundry room connecting to kitchen. Master bedroom near the kitchen. But if it's possible to have all bedrooms downstairs. It'd be cool. I'd even add a walk in pantry in the kitchen. It'd be hidden. I'd make 2 bedrooms extra large for my kids to have walk in closets. So my kids can share rooms. And have extra room for an office and a guest room. I mean there's a lot you can do with it.
I love the Barndo! I'd remove the 2 car garage and make it a guest suite, and the other 2 rooms (gym/office) bedrooms with a jack and jill bathroom. Move the Master up stairs to take up most of the entire upstairs. The Master would be a family room with an expanded porch for fun. Even still, the build is spectacular!
Really like the floor plan and the only think I'd change is make the 2 car garage a pool room with a regulation pool table. Great video!
Great feedback! Thank you so much!
Beautiful !!!
Love your work. 🙌
I really love this layout
Like it. Might make couple adjustments
The things I would change is put a black window pane garage door on the gym, match that with a window for the office, lastly change the 2 car garage into a theater/gaming room
I’ve been designing my own Barndo. Figuring out rough measurements is not easy. But I knew I wanted 4-5 bedrooms. Most Barndos are 2-3
This is my dream home love it
I love this...I would keep it just like it is
beautiful love it
Wow!!!!! I m finding this☆ thanx!!!
This is amazing
Yes it is!
I need help building my new home. I love this design.
You can purchase these floorplans and the builder would be all set!
Nice,something to consider.
Nevermind saw youre info thanks ill reach out soon
Love this!
This is an awesome plan. Though I see that they aren't architects so that might be why the plans are so cheap. I really like them though and they are on my list as I hunt for plans.
She is in ATL. She has been drawing houses for 10 years. She even exported the drawings to sketch up 2017 and Revit for me. She saved me so much time. Now I design my home around my wood shop business.
Amazing !!
That's my dream layout for a house
Great design. I would connect the home gym to the Masterbedroom and use it as a huge Master closet. Other than that I love the design.
That is a great idea!
Awesome!
Love your coverage of this great barndo! Love that this can be customized too. What is the typical costs per square foot and can this be built outside of Texas? Thanks 😊
I appreciate the kind feedback! Build cost can vary dramatically depending on what selections you go with. This one could probably be built around 150-200 a sq ft. If you did a lot of it yourself you could cut cost as well. You can definitely build this outside of Texas. If you wanted this build, you could purchase the floorplans and present it to your builder. It should be a cake walk from there!
@@justcreateit9620 wow really i thought barndominiums were cheaper thats over 1/2 million dollars . Are you sure it's that much?
@@jtecheira304 this one could be a lot cheaper, however they went with expensive upgrades.
Wow I love it
The gym and bedroom by the 2 car garage would be a his and her office. That 2 car garage would convert to a place for the dogs temperature controlled (small kennel)(prevents me for needing to buy one for personal dogs). Id remove that garage door for the 2 car, to make as a solid wall for the living room with a big ol L shape couch and 2 recliners and the big tv. id keep the middle a dining area like in the video centered between the fireplace. id extend that pantry removing the nook in the master. I would make the kitchen a U shape counter top instead of an L then recenter the island. next id remove the laundry nook extending the closet and put that laundry in in the 4 car garage, but lastly id split that 4 car garage in half making it a 2 car.... id put up a wall for a large storage area for most everything (mostly canning and preps and a treadmill) but nothing auto or heavy tools, and make the laundry be in there in a corner of hat storage . Id keep the upstairs the same for my sons room and a guest bedroom. I guess id be changing a lot. I love the space... it would be perfect for me at that point... but its still a lot of changes. The only thing i could ask for at that point is the master bath counter tops I like the half circle or the large his and her with a middle vanity. I love open bathrooms which would be some of the takeaway from this but that is honestly all it would be missing for me, beautiful floor plan and it gave me a lot of ideas. I dislike how with a lot of homes I am seeing bedrooms near the master sweet... and with kids.... love em to bits but i prefer distance for noise control with them gaming and dating etc. I noticed space from master bedrooms are not necessarily standard. I like the upstairs distance in this house and how my son can still spy on me when im cooking so he can come running lol I feel like the upstairs nook is a beautiful addition. I have had difficulty finding large floor plans that are 1 story, while keeping old age in mind. i've learned from elders and personal experience stairs are just not for me. common in colder regions with good reason but id like to do without it, so its an option for my son, while avoiding all reason to go up there! im not sure how it would be used once hes out the house if ever. my bad knee just makes to look away from two stories and its really narrowed my perspective, this is really nice regardless! thanks so much for sharing
I love that floor plan. I love everything about it. It's totally my style. Its gorgeous! What's the number of that plan again? U just got a new sub with me. Lol
I would prob convert those other garages to bedrooms or a home theatre. Great info my wife and I are looking at land now to build one of these on in Oklahoma.
Yes! That would be a cool thing to do! If you need help, I know great realtors there.
I want this!
I am new to Barndominiums but I want one! :-)
Let me know if you have any questions!
Gym is a must, and Theater room an option for those garage spaces
Very cool
Yes it is!
Awesome I like it
great one of the best i have seen yes i would leave i car garage on each side
I would add or love to see the 8 car garage at the same height as the rest of the house. then only have a 4 car garage on one side and do something on the other side, but have the same height throughout the house.
We're definitely trying to find the cost of this build w/ framing and plumbing... Awesome Barndominium!!!
Thank you for the feedback! Yes, cost can be tricky depending upon your finish out.
I am torn between turning the two car garage into two bedrooms and turning it into a classroom.
I would love to know more about this.
This barndo is great! Do you have more information you can share on the metal building/barn? specs and companies who sell them? I live in Alabama.
🏡💛❤💙🏠🏡❤💛💙🏠🏡❤💛💙🏠
I don't have kids but my family loves to visit. I would keep 3 car garage (Car, SUV and my 4 wheel) on the left with my office/library in front so I can see who's coming when I'm working.
On the right, I renovate the the 1st 2 car garage to a big family/media room. Than I would make the next garage a gym than a big guest room with 2 queen beds.
Thanks for sharing....u got everyone dreaming lol 😆
Could you do a partial basement? You would probably need some extra storage space and for utilities.
I am sure you could! That would be interesting.
Too much house, need more garage/shop space. 😜 Love the versatility of the barndo style, it can be whatever you want!
I love it! I'm wondering what it would cost to make
This one is great, BUT MY FAVORITE IS THE BM2500. In the process of buying some land in Belton Tx, by the Lake, and would love to put the BM 2500 on it. Wassup fellow Texan.
This is perfect. No need for an outdoor kitchen. Just roll up the doors!! Slap a pool beside the pull through area and done.
I love this barndominium! Maybe less car garages. Swap it for an outside playroom, a craft room and a guest bred room with bathroom. Don’t forget a pool!
depends! if you are a Guy, it's a garage.
I love it
I’ve actually been looking to build this same one in New Braunfels! Finding land for a decent price has been hard.
I'm actually a realtor in New Braunfels and I can help you find the right property for you! Please call or text me! (979) 877-9160
Cool Plan - where would they put the Boiler/Hotwater tank no dedicated room for that I guess the garage
Great question! I believe it would be in the garage on the opposite side of what was shown. I would vote for tankless haha.
How much would it cost to build something like this. Is there a website/app that can calculate the build price if you enter the floor plan/design. Not counting the price of land in the build
Could you provide us a price listing for the different floor plans?
I really like the idea of this being a starter income type of home. Sorry I haven't read through all but a couple comments but what would something like this cost to build say in Ohio? I am thinking that a single or a new family could build this and AIRBNB the outside rooms as a shared living space. They could take the 4 car side convert that to a rental by night thing as well as put a shared type bathroom. Sorry the entrepreneur came out in me.
I like these ideas of using the space for multiple things. The Stradman wanted one of these but cudnt get approval from city where he lived so apparently u cant build these types of homes just anywhere
THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I WANT. Oh, wait… NO, I don’t need 4 bedrooms or 6. I will convert the two upstairs into my master bedroom. I am not sleeping on the ground floor. I can’t! Too scary! Lol!! I would keep the garage space but extend the living and kitchen space. Make one of those garage into a movie theatre room.
The amount of bedrooms and bathrooms you can have depends on what your PERK test allowance comes out to.
wow, what a great house, and a great channel, excellent work you do, dude, congrats, and excellent music too, what music you use in this video? i suscribe now 😃
Thank you very much! I use music from artlist.com!
Plans are less expensive being they are less complicated!
I want one of these homes and following these barndominium 4 years a good friend of mine is an architect and he drew one out for me. Living in New York state can't have the high ceilings. Will cost too much to heat it in the winter
What's the best way to heat and cool such a structure?
I just bought the plans!
Rashad!!! Congrats! Excited for you! When are where are you building?
it’s gonna b 2 stories?
I love it.... but I didn't see 6 bedrooms.... I love it and I want the plan...
The plan link is in the video description. You can convert the garage spaces into a additional rooms.
In one of the 4 bay garage sides I would do 1 car garage, convert 1 bay for a kitchen, 1 for a bathroom and 1 for a bedroom for my mother in law. So she has all her own space other than the living room.
Brother! That’s a great idea! I never even thought about doing something like that!
@@justcreateit9620 the other thing would be turn the double garage into a 2nd master bedroom with bathroom than you could have the kitchen next to it and on the far side a seperate living room instead of the gym. The inlaws can park right outside any of the garage doors on that side
@@nickpoly48 that’s a great idea as well! It kind of makes you want to get out a piece of paper and draw it out lol.
We are starting a thrifting/reseller business with liquidation pallets I would use the 4 car garage side for my business.
That would be perfect for this build!
I like your video and channel
Man I appreciate it! Thank you for the great feedback! My goal with this channel is to help out as much people as possible looking for information or building a barndo.
This place absolutely needs a Fireman Pole! 🤨❤️✌🏼🇺🇸
How much is it to heat a home like this in Wisconsin? This is beautiful.
Beautiful Build …were looking for a smaller barndo. Found property in Marlin near Waco can you put us in contact with someone to build?
Hello! Yes I can! What is a good way to reach you?
Well we do homeschool and I would convert the double bay into a schoolroom. I'd use the 4 car garage to house bikes and toys.
That is a great idea! I would have a schoolroom set up as well.
Beautiful nluxurious
New subscriber 😍😍
Yay! Thank you!
Would it be possible to get one of these with a double floor basement on one of these and 3 stories up top? Looking to get to 10k+ SQ FT
Beautiful home I wish you would slow down and be more detailed with the presentation. There's so much that I wanted to see all the bathrooms I saw one you just walked by and the master bathroom shower you blew right through it looked liked you were walking through a hallway. Show us all the closet space? Was there a pantry? Where is the utility room I know it has one every house does? I would like to have seen all the bedroom's Take your time and be more detailed. This house has so much more than what I have seen.
Can this same floor plan be used for a regular house?
Excluding cost of land ….it will be good to have a guestimation of the total cost. Assuming insulation, drywall and maybe paint at builder grade level materials.
it can range from 100 -200 a square foot.
Not connecting the garages mean two of everything basic garage stuff. Garage layout is a fail to me. Mini back porch is odd too. I like the house part though.
It’s a beautiful bro where are you how much it cost
How does this workout if you live in an area that has rough winters
I would turn two car garages into a theater room
