- I think I have found the king of all barndominiums! This gigantic barndominium built by Buildmax is a must see. Take a look with me as I talk about this build. All credit goes to Buildmax for creating such an incredible design. Look below to find the link to these floorplans!

I called this company last week asking about this very plan. They quoted me approx. $87,000 for the plans and frame, roof, beams. This does not include shipping, windows, doors, indoor walls or slab. it's just exterior. Shipping to the San Diego area was approx. $12,000 and if you want them to come out and put it together for you it was another $38,000. Again this was quoted to me and didn't include any changes in design.
Thats actually pretty cheap
There is no way! the BM2500 was quoted to us in Michigan for 175k prior to build.. That was just materials / slab without labor.
Shit give me their number
Im in NY changed my mind from the BM2900G to now BM5550 because having to only build 1 big structure not a separate building. I was quoted yesterday without changing the design $237k installed on a slab black roof/siding thats ALL exterior roofsiding doors windows and all structure for inside. All finishing touches are separate plumbing electric cabinets Thats not a bad price Oh and thats in steel build.
So they send you a kit home?
I'm literally building this home right now
How far into it are you?
Just found about these amazing shop/homes today! Wow! As a Realtor who deals mainly in land this is epic!
This was a great help to see this as a virtual walk through !
I love this plan but I've got a huge family. 6 kids. We're like the Brady Bunch. 🤣 Ideally, I would like to see the 2nd floor extend over the first two garage section to allow for more bedrooms/living space on that floor.
Haha. That was my exact thought because I have 6 kids as well. They're not all at home anymore, but when they are visiting I'd like their families to have their own space.
You can customize the floor plans, you just have to call them
We will be doing this plan, BUT 3 bedrooms and bath upstairs, will have unfinished basement. Adding a breezeway between the living area and garage. Also adding a cover to back of it above the dining room area
Getting ready to start our build now with this exact plan! Should I document it??
Yea man, I want to see it
YES! Document it!
Why no videos yet?
Did you document your build?
I wouldn’t want a second floor I’d simply want a long open floor plan.
I just looked at this build last week! You're right amazing.
It really is!
Hey there! Definitely looking for a builder in Southern Kentucky for 3 different barndominiums on our new property 😉 thanks in advance for any references you may have!
Great design and thanks for sharing!
I love it. What would make it better if you could get 2 big garage door not just one
The plan I have is 5824 sq ft. The house is 3264 sq ft and my garage and shops will be 2560 sq ft. I just need to find a builder in Lancaster PA area to build it.
Try Amish, cheaper
Let me know if you find a builder. I’m a few hours west around Pittsburgh and looking to build a barndo but can’t find a builder
Sick I love it I would like to add a in ground storm shelter inside the house for 10 plus people and a 4 stall horse barn attached to back of garage so that I could literally walk thru my home to my horse barn and I’ll need a dog wash inside garage area. Then it would be perfect 👍🏾 🤔in Ohio looking to build in 43725 zip send any builder information
So how do you get started getting g one purchased?
Gorgeous!
Thank you for making this video! I’m in the planning process. Do they send you a kit, is that apart of what they can do, or do they only sell floor plans? I want a kit build sent to me, (I’m in riverside, CA) then from there I’ll have a contractor/subcontractor and all the licensed people come out and do the plumbing, electrical, etc.
Do you know who will do the closed cell foam spray? Will buildmax provide that too? I just sent them an inquiry, so I should talk to them soon. Thx for you help!
I LOVE IT AND THANKS FOR SHARING!!!
Have you not seen the 10,000 sqft barn?!
Is it cheaper to get a kit for the shell and than sub out the rest of the work?
That way can definitely be cheaper. If you look at one of my previous videos that has the barndo with the horse stable, that client purchased a shell and buillt it out.
I’m in Pickerington Ohio close to Columbus Ohio do you know any builders in my area that will build a barndominium
I’m a builder in southeast Michigan, I can gc it for you or at least help you get off on the right foot
Aaron, let's connect. Send me an email at jallendirba@gmail.com. I would love to refer you to future clientel and have you as a preferred gc.
So about 150k?
I love bardos; have you seen the 10,000SF one on YT?
Yes I have! It is incredible!
Building this exact build now ❤
Whats your projected total cost?
What's the total cost...or a ballpark figure if you don't disclosing the actual cost.
$450,000ish. Doing most everything our selves. Central Illinois. Pole barn
@@brandiethursby5491 So probably tack on another 100k-200k if contracting it out....not bad.
Just out of curiosity what do what one these cost in comparison to building a home
It really depends on what material selections you use for the build. Excluding the land cost, you could build a barndominium for around 150 a sq ft. It would obviously be higher depending on factors. My clients are averaging 210 a sq ft with today's market. However, you could build a barndominium faster or cheaper if you can do some of the work yourself. I hope that helps!
So depending on what all you can do on your own of course, market price, etc. mine was 140 p/ft versus a custom spec house I build for 280 p/ft
@@aaronanderson6362 140 a foot is great! Yeah building a traditional style home is definitely pricier today.
@@justcreateit9620 thanks! Yea I should mention that I’m a licensed builder so a lot do the finishing I did but with the structural stuff and concrete and materials used that was the price when all said n done. This style you highlighted is great! Thanks for your post
@@aaronanderson6362 what state are you located in Aaron?
I want this
the only thing ive been wondering about these barndominiums is can you have a basement with them? or is that a no go
I’ve seen it on TikTok so it’s definitely possible
Yes you can! You just dig a hole an put one in!
The great room looks tiny

Please I need a builder who may be on the lower end of pricing I’m trying to do some of the building myself to save some but any info would be appreciated. I live in Weser Texas but I’m wanting to build around Weatherford or Granbury
$200 per sqft? That’s like an actual house?
It is a house! These finish outs would make it this much, but you could build it cheaper.
Can I have it built in ohio
