I failed the ATF qualification course. I didn't shoot unarmed people!
😅😂 that's an automatic fail!
Best comment by far
What about the dog?
ATF will fix bayonet after they fire all 300 rounds!@@madtabby66
Ouch 👏
law enforcement gun qualifications are easier then most people would imagine
That is because they are MINIMUM qualifications. You should strive to be and do better.
I'm a retired LEO, and you're right and most is done with a pump shotgun.
Yes, I can shoot them weak hand, single hand. But they have to factor in the 95 lb female and others that are petrified of recoil
@@LOVES-A1911And probably with a 18 1/2 inch barrel.
I’d like to try this qual with my Remington 870 w/18 1/2 inch.
You should see CDCR
ATF qualification course, point blank into a target shaped like a child and another into one shaped like a dog. Fully loaded magazine and they unload it into the target before the range master reloads it for them and cycles the action, as long as one round hits target they pass.
Then you say "We have a warrant! Whoops wrong address!"
FBI shotgun qualifications are :
1. Spell shotgun
So 50% failure rate?
One mistake allowed with two redos
Why would they train to hold 4 rounds in hand while reloading?
Who on earth uses a shotgun like that? It makes more sense to train reloads from the side saddle or your belt/rig....Even if you're using a big pouch full of disorganized shells, you're not going to grab 4 at once and try to turn them around the right way while fumbling through reloads....Am I the only one who thinks this looks like bad training?
2. Define shotgun
😂😂😂😂
Put Colion Noir in charge of the FBI! He is a lawyer, and I trust him a hell of a lot more than the people in Washington!
You enjoy that prison where you get to pick the warden, huh?
Never trust a lawyer.
Read into the secret oath they make to the BAR association.
No lawyer is your friend.
Remember, absolute power corrupts absolutely.
Amen 100%
Just saying, most of the people in Washington started out as lawyers.
Aren’t you supposed to yell “we have a warrant!” before each shot?
After.
No, afterwards.
nah, since they dont have body cams, they just claim they yelled it after everyone is dead, including the dog.
Now they just yell "He has a gun" no matter what you are holding.
FBI marksmanship test: how many disabled 75 year old men can you shoot in under one minute.
The standard when I was a patrol supervisor was, "You must fire 3 rounds AT the target." Nothing about hitting the target.
Tyrant
Few professions flaunt their incompetence as much as LE
@@SwampOperator Boring tired insult. How else do you expect murders, pedos, wife beaters and more to be removed from society to face a fair trial.
@@Izak213 what I'm seeing is an abundance of those things in our society. However I keep hearing about people who were in DC in early 2020 being jailed.
In the marines you had 3 rounds of military double 00 you are to say halt, halt, halt you can say it as fast as you can then fire yep you must say it 3 time

FBI qualification, there's a low bar, they missed the arrest people for saying mean things on Facebook part
In 1986 (I think) I went through the O.L.E.E.T. 'Defensive Shotgun Course' and scored in the 90% range. This included Slugs at 50 yards, (From an old airplane boarding ramp), slugs and 00buck at 25 yards and 00buck at 15 yards. Included was the taking out the 'hostage taker' at 15 yards with 00buck without hitting the hostage silhouette target in front of the hostage taker from a 'low position' snap shot. Lastly we were required to complete the Dossier Drill in under 10 seconds. That entails knocking down 5 plate steel silhouettes (in a semi-circle) from 12 feet (Basic distance in a typical room). AND this was accomplished with a Remington 870. This is the feat performed by Italian Police in recovering U.S. Army's General Dossier from kidnappers. One of the OSBI Agents accomplished this drill in under 5 seconds, actually striking one target twice, the second shot as the target was falling because he thought he had missed the first shot.
Needless to say, myself and 95% of that class would have passed any 3 letter federal agencies course with flying colors.
My Grandfather told a story about helping a buddy pass his 1911 qual. Guy couldn't hit the target at all. So Grandpa and another buddy got on both sides of him and shot at his target but they were both suppose to only shoot twice each at the target. So the range master ends up asking how the guy got 10 hits out of 5 rounds in his mag.
I had to qualify with the 1911. It was so loose I couldn't hit anything. The range sarge said to go up where I could hit the target. 3 feet was perfect.
Good one! :D
😂 👍
One of the main reasons I love this channel is how he shows his struggle or dexterity flubs!
He takes the time to explain not excuse his actions which I love ❤️❤️❤️
Plus you can see him just shooting the course of fire. There aren't a bunch of cuts and slow-mo shots.
How about we ask, Can the FBI Keep their oath? How about you Larry?
I've taken the fbi courses, they aren't hard at all if you're decently versed in firearms. I was hoping for more honestly
Unless you're talking about HRT or SWAT guys(many whom are former military special ops), most FBI agents are not really "shooters". They're lawyers and accountants who went into law enforcement. Remember, this is the agency that went from 10mm to .40 S&W to 9mm because a lot of agents couldn't handle the recoil.
@@michaelprather8371 no it's because data showed that 40S&W is pretty much identical to 9mm and the added costs for 40 wasn't worth it
@@Izak213no it was the recoil that led to lower range scores and slower time till second hit and 2nd shot accuracy to drop. When you buy ammo at the millions of rounds scale us8ng other peoples money the cost between 9 or 40 isn't material.
@@wsollers1Kinda forgetting the third factor; nobody could seem to manufacture a good 10mm pistol in the 80’s; the Bren Ten would’ve been great if they actually bothered to produce magazines beyond what they put in the sales box (and it ain’t good if your struggling to source spare mags for it), the Colt Delta Elite had frame cracks during the first couple years of production that required them to modify the frame to fix it, and the S&W 1006 the FBI adopted had a decocker issue that would render the pistol inoperable.
At that point I’d say the .40 was a better call just for having a handgun that didn’t shit the bed when the excrement hit the fan, at least until Glock managed to make a 10mm that actually worked reliably.
@@wsollers1That’s not the way the military thinks, so I doubt the FBI does either. Lots of brass assure their good reviews by making budget, and most don’t give a rat’s butt about how much blood it might cost snuffy. If they can do it and not get embarrassed by the results, they do it.
Would this be the same FBI that just drove a MRAP through a man house while throwing flash bangs? Can't imagine why he went for a weapon? Then they were kind enough to shoot his 300 lbs 75 year old ass. Funny, Federal LE doesn't use body cams.
Sounds a lot like WACO 🤔
That's probably going to be pretty standard stuff soon 👺
How do We know he went for a gun? Their word?
Also "funny" how Noir doesn't have one critical word to say about the FBI here, almost as if they've been pals all along.
@tatooninja
I took this video itself as a critique of the FBI. Someone who has not extensively trained on shotguns passed the range qualification with ease, even while compensating for a nonoptimum zero and setting himself up for longer load times. That tells me the FBI quals are dogshit.
@@THall-vi8cp that's true, I guess no commentary is necessary when their incompetence speaks for itself
Best two day shotgun class I took was "fighting shotgun" at Tactical Response in Camden, TN. Almost 1000 round of shotgun ammo with various drills over two days.
Have you been to Thunder Ranch and ran Clint Smith's course? Would be nice to see a comparsion.
I don’t think the FBI could qualify for a Cajun shotgun course! My ancestors made their shotguns, sizes of cannons (punt guns) that utilized handfuls of shot. A spread upwards of 8ft!
Punt guns are psychotic lol. Shot one once, that was interesting.
Punt guns are Cajun axes. 😂
I can't believe how easy this looked
@@tattooninja Considering most law enforcement rarely use shotguns outside of bean bag ouchy rounds and don't need to be 3 gun shooter competitors, it doesn't exactly require a difficult test. Shooting a shotgun is about the easiest thing an FBI agent will learn to do.
@@boydrobertson2362same here...... but only once and just so I could say I did!! Lol I was legit nervous to shoot it, but not as nervous as my buddies 😂, nobody would let me rest the punt barrel on their shoulder like the old timey pics, and everyone stayed like 50ft behind me!!! I just knew it was gonna explode in my face, but all the fear was for nothing bc it went just fine. I dont care to shoot one ever again tho lol
I love that you used the Benelli M4 for this as it’s my home defense shotgun, but I am curious how you would have done with a standard pump. Sadly, not everyone will have the budget for an Italian beauty like the Benelli m4. Regardless, very educational video!
There’s affordable semi auto shotguns. But I don’t blame people who would preferred the Benelli M4.
Allow me to recommend the Beretta 1301, which comes in $500+ cheaper than the Benelli M4 and also shoots very smoothly and softly. Beretta's A300 is cheaper still and also a fine shotgun, but didn't have the BLINK system so it's not QUITE as fast or soft as the 1301.
I've got a Mossberg 590A1 I took as a backup to my new 1301 to a shotgun class recently, and used it when my sight went down on the 1301. Had no trouble with the drills, though we didn't do the FBI shotgun qual. And I don't get a ton of shotgun time either.
Stoeger m3000 on gbroker for $600
Stoeger M2. Touted as one of the best ever. Extremely common in competition. I bought mine used some years back for about $300.
Standard pump can be equivalent speed to a self-loading shotgun. You pull the trigger and rack the slide (the pump) at the same time. Takes a little bit of time, but you can shoot as fast as it takes you to reset your sights after every shot.
While there are still good people within the FBI the institution has lost all of its prestige.
It should no longer be revered.
It should be disbanded and renamed despite the fact that the corruption will continue.
They were born out of corruption.
Good people do stand by and do nothing when their leadership is corrupt.
Was it just the leadership who raided and shot the 70 year old man recently?
" Evil prevails, when good men do nothing ", they knew what was going on, they did nothing, they are just as evil.
It should be disbanded and their duties remanded entirely to the Federal Marshals - who are the ones that *should* be doing it. Not that I would expect them to be any better, the larger problem is the people that have made the appointments for directors of these institutions.
Just disbanded, renaming wont do anything but reallocate the corruption under another umbrella.
got my 590s earlier this year and been to the range only a handful of times and i’m sure i would’ve easily passed this. The farthest i can shoot at my local outdoor range is 30 yards and i can almost stack the slugs but then again i’ve never shot for time
You're definitely right about the benelli M4. I love my benelli M4. I got a beretta 1301 tactical to but there's something about the benelli M4 it's more like a rifle and shoots incredibly well and really mitigates that recoil especially with slugs. I even put brenneke black magic slugs through it and it wasn't bad at all.
Are these the same skills that enabled them to neutralize some 75yrd old internet tough guy with deadly force?
Exactly. Where were "the good ones" then..
Not one negative word about his pals from Noir during this half assed training
How many FBI does it take to pass? Or do only dogs count?
That's F-Troop.
@@MrErictankI can only assume you are a boomer, or were raised by boomers like myself cause no one is going to get that reference.
@@jonathanconklin6351 GenX, 1971. But I read a lot, and came across it (in 'Unintended Consequences' I think). The show came on reruns at my grandparent's house when I was a kid, and between that and the book, it stuck.
Thank you future Senator Noir, will get the list and give it a go with Ole 590
My aunt is in the FBI and I actually went to a qualification course one time. Actually shot my first gun there, I was shocked at how easy the tests they had the pass were. I was able to get a qualifying score, and my firearms experience at that point had been limited to airsoft
Killing dogs with a shot gun can't be that hard.
Point and shoot adventure
Depends on the dogs and the range. There was a pick up and load ordinary pump shot gun and shoot pit bull target--you could tell that you get bitten.
Good advice. No matter what weapon you have available when you need a weapon, it is a really good idea to know what you are doing and to have a little practice under your belt.
Thanks for putting out a training video like this, because just like you, a lot of us don’t really train shotguns, and I think it’s a good thing to see more of on these more neglected platforms.
I for one appreciate what you’re bringing to us. An awful lot of hate mail came your way from this vid!
I was fortunate enough to be on the range when my daughter was going through quals with the USCG.
They would not have been challenging for anyone who handles weapons with any consistency. Unfortunately, those kids were only issued weapons for boarding scenarios and were only offered range time during quals week, annually.
Leaving me very little confidence in their ability to handle themselves in high stress situations.
At 10:51 mark Colion talks about "loading anxiety" and the ease of loading his Benelli. The shotgun used on fed contracts is the Rem M870. If you load it in your workspace as he does all it takes is for the action to creep down 1/4" and the shells will not load into the magazine. And when you're loading under time, that makes a difference.
Keep up the awesome content, looking forward to more challenges like this!
One of the most challenging aspects of the shotgun is reloading. Would like to see more reloading under time constraints, particularly on the move (gotta go back and pick up the shells you dropped, lol)
Lena Miculek has some great tips on speed loading a shotgun
@@nativewarrior5052speed loading is a completely different beast compared to practical shotgun shooting. You’re always topping up the tube and/or single-loading the chamber. You’re not necessarily going for “fast” so much as you are going for consistent volume of fire.
@@nativewarrior5052 completely impractical in reality.
So we got Brandon Herrera running for Congress, are we gonna get Colion as head of the FBI now?! 😂
Thank you for not editing your mistakes out of the video! I hate when lesser "guntubers" make it look like they shoot perfect every time.
This is why I will always state that any combat shotgun should have a detachable magazine.
It is much easier and faster to load a magazine than individual shells, especially under pressure, if you are hurt, etc.
Hererra Noir 2024!!
Im not sure how they issue firearms in the agency but..Id say the entire point of any practice/certification is that you must remain aware of the shot placement and make adjustments on the fly as needed. In the case of a miss-zeroed weapon.. All the better. For instance, picking up your buddy's left handed pistol or a rifle that is set up for an opposing dominate eye and attempting to ring them all out on target from the jump, is a challenge.. it takes a second shot or more to adjust, the off eyed alignment alone. Drilling the adjustment and backdrop/placement awareness of an unfamiliar weapon would help an agent and the average shooter for sure.
idk if “law enforcement quality training” is the greatest flex
Definitely not.
Like doing shots of berry wine coolers
Not really.
Colion Noir, rocks at testing firearms. We all know he is the best 2A advocate as well. Thank you for what you continue to do for 2A!
Well done! We need more people like you!
Nice shooting and adjustment. Would like to see you do the Air Marshal pistol Qual course. That is a thought one from what I seen.
You did a really good job ! Were I in danger I would much rather have you on my side then any FBI agent. I have a funny feeling those time limits were made for pump shotguns. Also I think that loading from a show card on the side of the receiver or from loops on a belt would have been more realistic.
That’s cool since you don’t know either 🤣🤡🤡
As a former BPA, the shotgun qual is super fun and challenging.
Thank you for giving us the details of the drill. I can't wait to try this!
Sees dog! Shoots dog! TEST PASSED! Oops! Wrong test!
Colion,
Thank you for your dedication to the Second Amendment, and to perfecting the art of shooting.
What kind of stock do you have on your M4?
Well done young man. I do will look into this course.
I really enjoyed this training video!! Great job on the shots!
I just came to see the comments section on this one 😁
I took a course like this (with some things added like run here shoot then run there shot but basically it was the same) with a escort slugger & it was amazing. Really had a good time with a bunch of good people. It was called tactical mindset shotgun. It's a course for beginners to teach the very basic stuff with the shotgun.
This is great content my man

Excellent segment! More on your part than the instructors. He seemed really unsure of what he was reading. You, my friend, were on point!
You take the dragon's breath and you light all the targets up indiscriminately and blame it on them smoking in bed or something
Abolish the FBI!
Not all FBI agents are corrupt. The majority, sure.
But it wouldn't be fair to those who aren't.
That's something criminals would say.
And ATF and NFA. While you're at it, get rid of the DOE, DOT, ACL, NAACP, DOJ and any other federal agency that we do not need.

I would like to see you do that qualification with a pump shotgun instead of a semi-automatic. Unless they've updated the qualification I'm pretty sure they all had pump shotguns when they started
They used to use revolvers too; both should only be considered if nothing else is available.
@@HWG-wm8ldThat is your opinion. I agree with the original comment that it would be cool to see a harder test of skills with the pump. Man who can run a pump shotgun is underrated.

The FBI.🤦🏻♂️🤣 An agency so limp wristed they couldn’t handle 10mm and manufacturers had to create .40S&W
And they still sucked with that.
Great shooting! Thank you, that looked fun! 🎊
I think sane moral citizens along with militias should not only pass the shotgun FBI test but surpass it.
You would think that the FBI course would incorporate target recognition ( threat/no threat) too.
I would think they wouldn't train reloading with 4 shells in hand, but here we are
They'd separate the training. This is a shotgun course, not a decision making class. I think a good shoot house with randomly printed targets would be worth it.
Forget time, those hits. 👍 can’t argue with results.
nice shooting brother! I need you to get on our Federal SRT qual now. Keep up the great work.

Fun times thanks for showing the adventure
Shouldn't you be training like Sniffy Joe says to shoot two rounds in the air not caring where the projectiles come down in a populated area. Sorry couldn't resist a little sarcasm! Nice instructive video. Going to try myself.
Is FBI shotgun qualifications course have the Joe oBiden sniffing course?
You know over half of the FBI agents pass that with rainbow flag flying colors 😂
Thank you!
Very interesting video. Thanks.
One of THE main benefits of a pistol grip on a shotgun is to be able to hold inverted while loading. Rotate your forearm and elbow up & around, you'll be double looading shells in no time.
I gotta go, i see one of those new Baretta's over there...
When you went to shoot from the kneeling position you shot with no support
Had you shot with your elbow on your knee you would have had support .....

Thanks good Info. Take care
This is a Kamala Harris level word salad 0:40
I thought he went over on stage four cause he took all day. But dang that's not even close 😂. You could literally sleep through that qualification.
Hey Colion, I had a thought or suggestion. When I go hunting just before I go into the woods I load my shotgun. But the way I do it is like in John Wick's movie where he turned it upside down so he can quickly load the rounds with the sliding method which you can save the last one for the chamber & release your bolt! I found that was the quickest way to load & reload my Remington 870 Express pump. Yes it is a pump shotgun!
Nice work👍
Wait till he does the ATF course with the dog targets.
I know it’s messed up to laugh about, but someone on twitter (yes, I still call it that) replied to me with a funny meme about that.
Those times are not very hard to meet. For what should be a professional organization (FBI), that's kind of sad.
Good video I'd agree that the course is a good way to see where your at with your shotgun
Thanks, good video.

Question is can any of them really pass the qualification?😂😂😂
Why do you think they have such ridiculously high time limits
