Thanks for doing these videos. It has been a couple of years since I last used my Triple Play (been too busy with work and health issues got in the way). But I plan on setting myself back up again soon. These recent videos should be helpful with that. I recall the software installation being kind of a pain before, but once I got it up and running it was a lot of fun. I especially loved the ability to combine my guitar tone with the midi sounds. Just a couple of days ago I took advantage of the sale price and purchased a couple of the East West guitar series midi packs. Can't wait to try them out.
I'd love if Fishman teamed back up with East West Audio and created a series of midi sounds for guitarist wanting to achieve tones in the style of bands like Pink Floyd, MGMT, Mars Volta, Tool, Puscifer, Radiohead, Synthwave bands, Nine Inch Nails, Queens of the Stone Age, etc. Please please please consider this!!! I think it would be a big seller. With the exception of the Soundscapes pack, the rest of the series seemed more geared towards traditional music (foreign, classical).
I realize there are midi packs out there that can probably achieve many of these tones I'm referring to, but I've yet to find a pack specifically for this kind of thing. And from my understanding they won't work well with tremolo, trills, bends, etc like the East West packs are supposed to on the Triple Play.
A couple of suggestions based on what others have said in the forums and in reviews (just in case Fishman creates more midi packs in the future):
    1) Some users were saying that many of the instruments / sounds from the East West Audio Guitar Series packs didn't have the ability to do fluid bends, tremelos, slides, trills, etc while some did. They were wondering why this approach wasn't applied throughout the East West Guitar Series library. Apparently the Ethnic pack did the best job with this. Please consider applying this behavior throughout all of the capable instruments/sounds in future upgrades or packs.
    2) With future packs please consider focusing more on the authentic sounding tones and leave out the cheesy overly midi sounding sounds, and consider offering a collection of unique keyboard tones in the styles of the bands mentioned above.
    3) Some users mentioned that many of the instruments weren't playable all the way up the neck. They said they wished there were more octaves on the lower and upper ends. I agree with this. Please consider this with future packs.
    4) People are saying that the ability to get the most out of the East West instruments/sounds is to use them in the Triple Play software. They said when trying to use them outside of the Triple Play software the tremolo bends, etc didn't work. If there is a way to achieve these functionalities outside of the Triple Play Software, please offer a video explaining how to do this.
    5) For future Triple Play devices please create a more durable product. While I love my Triple Play, I (and other users) find the device to be quite flimsy and cheap feeling and looking. I'd think that for the cost it would be possible to create an aluminum casing to the product without adding much weight. It would not only offer more durability, but it would look less like a toy on our guitar.
Anyway, just figured I'd share these suggestions in case anyone from Fishman reads these comments. Thanks for your continuing support of your Triple Play product.

Thank you for supporting TriplePlay and all of the comments and suggestions made here. We will continue to add more sounds and libraries to work with more virtual instruments in the future. I appreciate all of the thought that went into this comment and I want to address all of the questions.
---Actually the instruments do have the ability to do fluid bends, but for particular instruments for the purpose of authenticity are programmed with the pitch bends set to trigger mode , which will adjust the pitch in semitones. Set the pitch bend mode to Auto or Smooth in the particular East West patch and it will allow the bends to work. You can also press the Back button on the controller D-Pad, which will toggle through the 4 different pitch bend modes.
      2) With future packs please consider focusing more on the authentic sounding tones and leave out the cheesy overly midi sounding sounds, and consider offering a collection of unique keyboard tones in the styles of the bands mentioned above.
---You should login to your Fishman TriplePlay account and download the latest version of TriplePlay with SynthMaster One. It's free to all owners of any TriplePlay device and contains over 1,200 presets that cover a number of genres.
      3) Some users mentioned that many of the instruments weren't playable all the way up the neck. They said they wished there were more octaves on the lower and upper ends. I agree with this. Please consider this with future packs.
---East West programs all of their sounds with the philosophy that an authentic sampled instrument, such as a violin, should only include notes that the sampled instrument can play, thus making the sound being played always an authentic representation of the instrument, rather than allowing the sound to stretch to notes that are not possible in the range of that instrument. Some people agree with this philosophy and others do not.
---There definitely will be many more instructional videos that will explain these functions and how they can work to your advantage outside of the software. The best way to understand how this works at the moment is to download the latest TriplePlay Wireless Quick Start Guide, which will explain the button functionality. You can also run the TriplePlay Software in the background with a hardware patch and use the buttons to switch the pitch bend modes.
      5) For future Triple Play devices please create a more durable product. While I love my Triple Play, I (and other users) find the device to be quite flimsy and cheap feeling and looking. I'd think that for the cost it would be possible to create an aluminum casing to the product without adding much weight. ---Fishman is always looking to improve products. We appreciate your input and encourage more feedback.

Any recommendations for adhesive if I am reinstalling on a different guitar?

Even when you use the smallest option it doesn't work with a Stratocaster. Too close and causes buzzing noise on strings 😢

I have a hard tail bridge with room on top of the bridge in front of the saddles but not in between the bridge and pickup. Is there an issue doing that assuming the height fits?

Can it be installed with the option showed here on a Fender Jaguar with the vibrato, I've measured it, based on the product specs it seems like it could maybe fit, as far as it can lay over the edge of the vibrato plate...

It's wireless. There is no cable. The unit connects wirelessly to a USB dongle you plug into your computer.

Hi Kevin - it is impossible to confirm without knowing the dimensions of your guitar, as there does need to be enough room between the bridge pickup and the bridge to allow for our pickup and mount to be placed. Please contact support@fishman.com for more information!

Is the pickup bendable? What is the min-max string distance?

    • @Fishman_Music
      @Fishman_Music  Před 4 měsíci +1

Hi thanks for your comment! The pickup is not bendable. The ideal distance between the strings and the pickup should around 1mm. The minimum distance needed to fit the pickup between the guitar body and the strings is 9.5mm. Hope this helps!

Can the pickup bar even curve a bit? Is it flexible to an extent? What type of magnetic pickup is inside the bar, and what type of polymer is the caddy made of? Thanks, mjp.

I installed my Tripleplay yesterday on my PRS Standard. Even with the thickest spacer and with the adjustment screws all the way in it wasn't close enough to the strings. I Have a solution if anyone has this issue.

Great till you try to download the Native Instruments then you get sent round in circles trying to sign in when your already signed in, then you try and another da and hey I have to re set my password again. I didn't know that re setting my password over and over again was a feature of the package and not being able to get hold of the so called Native Instruments that were offered free as part of the package.
