    Thank you Sir! One of the more practical demonstrations on the Tube regarding Triple Play. Anyone interested in midi guitar needs to know how well a product tracks. You discussed that right from the start. I didn’t have to search for the the most important topic on your review. Thank you so much for not wasting my time!

    I hope Fishman knows what they have in Burr Johnson. This guy is the non irritating version of Billy Mays. He could sell a hairbrush to a bald person! The clarity and fluidity of his demo was completely amazing. The skill and knowledge presented without the slightest hint of condescension made me wish the video was even longer.
    Enough gushing about Burr... I am off to buy this system to put on one of my lesser used guitars. Just hope I'm not too disappointed when I don't sound as good as the demo!

      @VictorIbelles Před 4 lety

      Vic Val the problem isn’t the latency, when I play slow it’s almost like a midi controller, but since it detects the note by “tuning” when you play fast it doesn’t let the app detect the note

    I’d like to know how he gets so little latency. I got mine down to a tolerable level, but it’s still noticeable and there’s no way I’d be able to play drums like that. The more staccato the patch is, the more that latency becomes an issue.

If you are playing electric or are looking for more synthesis or modeling FX we have great options from Line 6, Boss, and Zoom. I would recommend giving our talented sales team a call to determine what would be the best solution for your application.

    I got one a few years ago. Absolutely terrible. Loads of latency. I hate it. It’s been sitting in a drawer for the past 2 years or more. I use a Roland GR55.

    • @healthyhappyhero
      @healthyhappyhero Před 3 lety

      Will Scott still think the gr55 is better?

    • @scottguitars1961
      @scottguitars1961 Před 3 lety

      Healthy Happy Hero Yes, I did get the Fishman out again recently and it was a lot better than before. I don’t discount operator error for some of my problems. I’ve been using the GR55 midi to synths in Ableton. It’s been complicated but I’m quite happy with the results. My aim was to play everything live on the midi guitar except drums (which I use a loop). Check out my version of ‘Wish You Were Here’ ‘Small Blue Thing’ and ‘Won’t Get Fooled Again’. Not perfect but nothing was pre-recorded except the drum loop. I used FCB1010 to stop/start/record and swap between chorus/verse and some other controls...

      I did do post production mixing.

    • @healthyhappyhero
      @healthyhappyhero Před 3 lety

      Will Scott your cover is very well done Will! I noticed the guitar sounds are all modeled sounds from GR55. The modeled sound are flawless in tracking. The PCM sounds from the gr55 are the trickier sounds to track right. Thanks. 👍

    • @scottguitars1961
      @scottguitars1961 Před 3 lety

      Healthy Happy Hero That’s not right. There are bits of GR55 sounds but most of it I’m using the GR55 as audio to midi converter. The Won’t Get Fooled and Wish You W H is my Marshall 6101 D.I.’d. The Summertime I used GR55 trumpets I think.
      The synths and bass are Ableton instruments mainly. So they’re argegiated and sync’d to the drums.

  • @MrPaulSharman
    @MrPaulSharman Před 5 lety +1

    This is a sales video. Having used this in the same way I can say with certainly it does NOT "track" as this video shows but instead the latency is such that it inhibits any such attempts to play as demonstrated here. I wish I was wrong and await anyone to show me otherwise.

  • @reynaldguibone4859

    What is he tapping on his foot? That's the problem of this guy when he makes demo of tripleplay. We don't even know if the footswitch is included in the box when you buy it.

    • @TheSteveSteele
      @TheSteveSteele Před 6 lety

      Reynald Guibone The foot peddle was a separate purchase when I bought the $400 TriplePlay a couple of years ago. But it did come with the decent stand alone software, which are budget versions of the Kontakt Software Library and Sampletank. It also came with Progression but Presonus stopped making that app, so maybe Notion will take its place when Progression breaks on newer computers. It also came with Studio One Artist. The software was of no value to me because I already have a DAW of choice and the full version of Kontakt, etc. But for people who don’t it’s a pretty good software bundle. As a bonus, my iPad and IPhone recognize the USB dongle and Notion iOS and GarageBand both can record the 6-channel hex pickup. Actually that’s now my main reason for using it - entering notation or MIDI into my iPad Pro when I’m away from the studio. That was worth it to me I suppose. I play piano too so I could live without it. You don’t need the foot pedal to use the device but the controls on the guitar mount aren’t very good, so I wish they would have included a cheaper foot controller so I don’t have to spend an extra $200 just for the foot controller that I probably wouldn’t use very often. That’s my only real complaint about the system. Hope that helps.
