I´m not that much into Nu Metal and rapping in Metal songs in general but I love Machine Head and I have to say that I absolutely enjoy The Burning Red although having these kind of Nu Metal vibes. When I first heard From this Day, the chorus got me straight away, it´s really great to sing along. The first Machine Head song I heard was Halo, so I started to try more of their songs and fortunately discovered your Top 10 Machine Head songs video, which aided my discovery of Machine Head. So thanks a lot for bringing me more into them and making these great and comedic videos \m/

Awesome to hear you enjoyed the videos. That means a lot to me. The Burning Red is a great album and I can't understand why more people don't enjoy it.
Thanks for checking out the video 🤘

This is exciting! Machine Head is easily one of my favorite bands of all time. So many goddamn amazing riffs!! My introduction was seeing the video for Ten ton hammer, and then buying tmtc, still my gav MH album. I'm really excited about their next album, the three latest songs they did were amazing imo, and if the new album is anything like that we're in for something quite special!! 🤘
    Edit:
Finished the video, and it's pretty interesting to see we basically have the same taste. It's not often I find myself agreeing this much with anyone, so that's fun! I'd probably put Catharsis in either C or D. And I know this is controversial, but Through the ashes night be in B. There are a few of the best MH songs ever there, but there are quite a few filler tracks that basically sound like Supercharger imo that drags the overall quality down. And for Bloodstone and Catharsis it's the same problem, just worse. A few really good songs, but too many weak, forgettable songs. But overall this band is amazing!

Im so happy you love the burning red, im so sick of people shitting on it constantly, i must admit i lost track of them after the Blackening but i will always take any opportunity to see them live as there awesome and that Bulldozer riff is so damn good live. I think i was at the Hellalive live album, was it at Brixton?

Interesting insight as always! I really like hearing your thoughts on these classic albums, and your playing is an inspiration (I hope to one day actually manage to play a riff.XD). It was especially fun to hear your praise of Unto the Locust, which is one of my favourite albums! "This is who we are" should definitly be known as one of the great metal anthems!

That was excellent and well worth the wait. I was a couple of years behind you and discovered them on The More Things Change and that blew me away. I still remember seeing them two nights at the Astoria on that tour and it's two of the most intense shows I've ever seen. It's interesting how similar for the most our views are on them and also a few huge differences!
I always thought McClain was excellent and he really kindly helped myself and a mate get into a show in Paris on the Supercharger tour when we were on holiday. As it was before the internet and we only found out they were playing on the day when looking to see what to do in the evening they had unfortunately sold out. However Dave put us on the guest list when we saw him outside the venue and two 20-something year olds were very happy. The funniest thing was the hanging out afterwards, all were very friendly but Duce was the most memorable to two impressionable youngsters. We were asking him how the last place he'd been was (Amsterdam) and he took a huge draw on his spliff and said one word 'Hookers' and that was that. He had nothing more to say and so we thanked him and walked off!
Anyway the reason I mentioned that is whilst I really liked McClain, the drumming on that first album I think is one of the finest drumming performances of all time. I was delighted to get to see the reunion and finally catch Kontos live and he was an absolute beast! Again nowt wrong with McClain but that debut drumming is for me one of the greatest ever laid down on record.
This reply is going to be as long as your video at this rate... Burn My Eyes S teir, The More Things Change likewise. Glad you mentioned Violate, I think it's my favourite song of theirs, a brooding epic masterpeice.
I also saw the reaction or over reaction to TBR as a little odd. I like it when a band progresses and tries new things. I have to say I never really listen to TBR or Supercharger anymore but when they do play a song off them live the whole room goes nuts. I'd probably put them both in the C tier.
Through The Ashes is probably what Bloodstone is for you. I loved Imperium and loved the closer but pretty much all the stuff in between is just a bit meh. It was the start of them turning the ship around but compared to what was to come it's way down in my opinion and I'd put it in D tier, I never listen to it.
The next two we are on absolute classic territory and I don't need to add too much to what you have already said. I think I am one of the few that actually slightly prefers Locust but I wouldn't complain one way or the other, you can stick them both in S tier.
Next is where we probably disagree the most as I absolutely love this record. They took a step away from what they were doing and started experimenting again and I thought it all really worked. I thought Now We Die was a good an intro as the previous two albums but songs like Sail into the Black, Beneath the Silt and especially In Comes The Flood where they experimented a bit really hit the mark. I'd be tempted to put this into S tier too. You mentioned Killers and Kings not hitting you right but the main thing I remember about this song is the chorus as myself and a mate always sing I am the law, don't fuck around with me by Anthrax over the top as it fits.
Catharsis I think also has some great stuff on it but suffers from being way too long. I think Robb even said that himself as to appease all parties he agreed to put their songs on too and therefore I can never remember any of the latter half of the album. I still think its better than Ashes though and so I'd put it in C tier.
This reply is nearly as long as your video, hope you don't mind! I would say I am hoping the new album is something of a return to form but I am not too confident as all the one offs he's released so far just seem a little generic and obvious. Nothing has got me too excited but being a long-term fan I am happy to be proved wrong.
Once again thanks for doing the video, nice to see you playing again and appreciate the effort it takes to get a 30min video down! Keep up the great work, I'll put this review in S tier!

i saw them on the more things change tour as well, such a cool band. i wanna say 1997 at the london astoria? i believe it was a metal hammer thing where they had a different band every week, i think i saw fear factory a few weeks before in the same venue on the same promotion. both bands were crazy, and fear factory were supported by g//z/r who absolutely killed it too.

I fell in love at first sight while watching your video alone. It is a video of you that I think I will meet by chance someday. I fell in love with a good video like yours for the first time today. Just like it happens in a movie... I can't even guess you, but I'll see you when time goes by. But if I consistently play the harmonica every day, you might one day know even a little bit of my heart like this. I suddenly found out about your video today. How did you have such a wonderful talent that is full of strange charms unique to your video? I was amazed at the excellence of your skills and was moved by your sincerity and hard work while watching the video. I hope your video will bloom as a flower in my heart and stay as a flower of undying love for a long time. I'm looking at your video like a dream.. I want my heart to reach you someday. I will cherish your image as beautiful as the starlight in an empty place in my heart. Wouldn't it be great if my playing could become a purple star in the morning and my heart could reach you? Thank you for making my everything so happy for a little while because of one reason I watch your video. With a precious relationship, I would like to give you praise and support with sincerity and sincerity. As the algorithm introduced, I just looked down and suddenly the first picture caught my eye, so I looked up again and saw your video. When I face your video
For some reason, my past sadness is disappearing....Your video makes me forget all my worries in the world with your dewy eyes and brightens my dark heart. While looking at the beautiful purple clouds in the winter dawn sky
I want to tell you the story of my harmonica music.
Why does your video on my CZcams window look so beautiful and good? Watching your video under the cold winter sky at dawn is so beautiful and enchanting. It is your video that I want to watch over and over again, even if I watch it over and over again.

Never seen your channel before, but you and I have shared the same Machine Head journey. If someone got into music in the mid90’s and started with BME and TMTC then they prob didn’t mind Burning Red or even Supercharger because that’s just where music was. Burning Red is a strong album. But to me, Dave and Phil ARE/WERE Machine Head. I lost interest once they left and I’ve followed Machine Head across the United States.
