Awesome video and really enjoyed your ranking, and thoughts behind each album. I am largely in agreement with you. Love TBR and no shame for putting it high on the list. If it gets lumped in with Nu-metal, then it is the pinnacle of nu metal because those songs still sound as good today and stood the test of time. The only shocker to me is that for a MH fan, that you didn't really get into Bloodstone and Diamonds that much. That album is definitely A class to me. I can understand it not being on the tier with BME and Blackening as those albums are so cohesive, but man it is a super strong album with so many amazing tracks. Its a bit experimental and you can tell the band was pushing new directions after Blackening and Locust, but most of that experimentation turned out amazing and really opened them up to some different vibes. Particularly Ghost Will Haunt My Bones, Beneath the Silt, Eyes of the Dead, and Sail into the Black. Really amazing growth and some classic tracks that get your head banging. Also liked your thoughts on Catharsis. Certainly that album was divisive, but I think if they dropped California Bleeding, Triple Beam, Bastards and Razorblade Smile, then you have an 11 song, 57 minute album that is at minimum as good as Bloodstone, and don't get all the complaints about length and lyrics/politics. There is an excellent album in there, and frankly I am never going to complain about having some extra MH songs to listen too. Cheers! Can't wait to listen to the new album in its entirety.
Thanks! I’ll definitely have to give Bloodstone another chance, because looking at the tracklist I thought “Huh, I actually like almost all these songs”. I just never listened to it that much.

S tier: Burn My Eyes, The More Things Change A tier: The Blackening (I can live without now I lay thee down and slanderous) Through The Ashes of the Empires (bite the bullet and left unfinished are ok but not anything great) B tier: Of Kingdom and Crown! Unto the locust (who we are is 🙄) C tier: The Burning Red, Bloodstones and Diamonds (3-4 song each that I can skip) D tier: the other two and each has like 4 songs I can say I do like but those are the only albums that have 4 or more songs in a row I don’t give two shit about!

I sure hope this is better than Catharsis. One song on that album says something like I’m at the Margalo takin a shit while I’m having a beer. That makes me want to puke. I would put Catharsis in F tier. Only one album I would put in A would be The Blackening. Even though I am not really a Machine Head fan I know a good album when I hear one. Nothing would go into S because it is rare for me to put any album in S. They would go between A and F. Are you a Machine HeD fan or are they just kind of meh for you in general?
It is definitely better than Catharsis. Although that’s not a very tall task haha. Yeah, I’m a fan of Machine Head. I enjoy most of their albums. The only ones I’m not very into are Supercharger and Catharsis. Other than that they range from good to great for me.
