- Is the all-new Lamborghini Urus Performante really that much better than a regular Urus? It’s time to find out!
For starters, let’s check out the stats. The regular Urus rolls up with a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 under the bonnet which can put down 650hp and 850Nm of torque. It’s equipped with 4-wheel drive and weighs in at 2,199kg.
As for the Urus Performante, it’s packing the same engine under the bonnet, although the power output has been increased slightly to 666hp! The weight has also reduced slightly, to 2,150kg. However, while it’s down in weight, it’s up in price, with the cost increasing from £165,000 to £209,000!
What’s more, Mark’s edition has been packed full of options, so it costs an eye-watering £288,000!! So is it worth it? There’s only one way to find out… LET’S RACE!

If you could, would you pay £288,000 for this Urus Performante?!
*YES*
*NO*
I’d rather buy a *Cayenne Turbo GT*
Absolutely not
Ahaa not a chance. Its a monstrosity🤢
I will bring my Perf for a rematch as this is not right! 🤦🏽♂️
😂😂😂
The Wrap God himself!
This is not right at all
Something has to be wrong with Mark’s Performante, something just doesn’t feel right, could it be since it’s the first in the country or a pre-production model it doesn’t perform as the rest of the other Performante’s, perhaps the car hasn’t bedn broken in properly yet or the break-in period was cocked up due to the fact it was immediately chucked in a drag race, this can’t be right, take your Performante Yianni & rematch, we know you’re the Lamborghini god.
Go ahead and sell it for a GT bro, time to lay the Lambos to rest lol
A Lamborghini Urus race without Yianni, this feels wrong 🥲🥲
Maybe Yanni was shocked after the last drag race with the Porsche Cayenne GT.

@@Presto_001 yep.
@@iamnotyourmate Lambo Urus drag battle without Yianni feels like vegetables without salt.
Yanni has already bought his Cayenne Turbo GT. It will definitely appear in the next video 😂😂
I think the reason the perf was slower is due to all of the added kit that was optioned onto that car I’m assuming if you didn’t select all the options it would be lighter and slightly faster, maybe not enough to justify the price gap but faster.
maybe even that it was too new?
@@MartyNguyen611
No. It is heavy with all the crap they loaded into it.
The drag race we've all been waiting for!
A Dyno race would be very interesting, just to see what Lambo has actually done to that Performante.
Yeah, it's very odd that a car with supposedly more power and less weight gets beaten.
"marketing" is what they've done to it
Nothing😂
Maybe 100kg+ of optional extras (that insulating glass for instance)!
@@rufus_mcdufus well than why did it destroy the standard in the brake test?
Seems like good way to throw out 120k out of the window for basically nothing. I gotta applaud Lamborghini, not everyone manage to get away with this :)
Handling wise it’s a whole different car.
@@thespeedlife Who cares. For handling you buy Lotus not SUV
@@thespeedlife its not 120k worth of improvement
lambo is the poser's brand. they don't care. they want it to be expensive so they can brag about it, then have it impounded because they can't pay it off.
@@thespeedlifewho tf is buying a 5,000lb giant SUV for “handling”? Lol the fact that it’s legitimately slower off the line than the base version of itself is enough to make it painfully obvious this is just a way to scam dumb rich people out of $120k. Only someone with more money than sense would pay $100,000+ to make their “performance car” even slower.
Some of those options are wild
There’s £1000 worth of yellow thread in that interior, insane 😂
Mat thank you so much for this insane video!
Dont
I bet all those expensive options added back the weight they took away 😄
Lamborghini: chi-chingggg cash register
pretty sure the weight they took out would be replaced just by having a child passenger onboard, so yeah those extras don't help at all lol
@@xtianeskay5166 yes. Urus gave everyone big run of money!
@@larssonk22 👍👍
@@larssonk22 you have a 50kg child? Sheeeeeesh
Even Yianni’s Urus Performante had a 10.7 second quarter-mile timing. Why pay a 123 grand extra for lesser?
Performante Urus has 503bhp imo.
I feel Lamborghini is just trolling to see how many suckas are out there that are willing to spend vastly more money for very minimal effort.
It's an extra £40k as standard, not £123k. You can add the same ridiciously expensive options to the standard Urus and it would be a £250k car.
That's the Lambo way. Many of the interior parts are just Audi parts marked up to >5x
The fact that the “performante” upgrade is literally slower than the base version is so embarrassing lol. This may be the biggest scam in the automotive world right now. Lamborghini has quite the balls to charge that much extra just to make your performance car even slower.
Excellent video!
Gran Turismo 4 reference at 10:41 is just perfect 😂
To be honest, like Mat has once said, don't get a Urus, save that money and buy an Audi RSQ8. That would be another cool drag race to do as well.
RSQ8 is slower but it is a lot cheaper😁
Get a new X6M .. better than both of those!
@@RXH88 yeah, it is faster, but its ugly compared to both
If SUV and quarter mile times are the only objects, don't go for an rsq8, go for a X Plaid
Kia EV6 GT 😂
60k in Options has to weigh something especially massaging seats. Doubt it’s any lighter than the regular. Thanks for all the great content.
they so should have scales on these to keep the manufacturers honest
Acoustic glass, massage seats, blinds (minimal), B&O sound, 23" wheels, I would guess at 2300kg all in for the performante. Not to mention larger wheels would effect acceleration as well
By the way that’s excluding vat
Can we finally appreciate that Matt is really good off the line?
Am sat 🥳🥳🤣🤣🤣🤣 nice intro matt
You should have a rear camera covering all the vehicles on the brake tests to see which vehicle brake lights comes on at what point. Looks like others brake sooner than Matt does.
It doesnt matter if they brake at the same moment. What matters is if they brake at the line. A camera at the side of the line would make more sense

Yianni is the best rival of Matt at the drag. His dedication is something different. Whenever he says come on i feel the car gains 100 hp instantly.
It’s all about fun not rivalry. Let a new kid also enjoy.

It would be nice to compare the quickest time for each car across all runs to compare each cars’ best 1/4 mile time.

Mat, what was the mileage difference between the two cars? Never count out engine break-in as a factor.

Still, even at same weight, you would expect Lambo to be able to tweak the engine ever so slightly it wins against the base model. Might just be a shitty early production car that doesn't do what it's supposed.
I dont think anyone here understands how performance work. A lot of times, to build racing car you just get normal car a play with its engine a bit. All that was needed in this video is that one Urus was slightly better tuned in factory. Thats it.
Light version with all options that adds extra weight... Perfect :P
Lol!!!
Yea Lamborghini being sellouts , something with the performante name shouldn't even have heavy options like heated seats. If you want that crap go for the regular model .... But of course they want that extra $
That performante badge must be made of solid gold and diamonds
Matt got an absolute improvement on drag racing
Whoever designed the standard Urus is a Legend. All these years with barely any changes made and still doesn't get any older .
Yes. They deserved it.
I really like this comparison drag races to see what performance you get for paying that extra amount of money. You have to race this performante against the 2023 SVR Range Rover Sport and Aston Martain DBX 707 sometime as well.
Or also add the 1962 Buick Special Muscle Car to the drag race lineup.
Welcome to the new episode, M&M(Mark & Matt)
The Gran Turismo "license fail" clip was hilarious, and also triggered some sort of PTSD at the same time. 🤣😅

Well 100k+ cars should have all the possible features. But the greed of car manufacturers is just too much.

Great video guys Lamborghini needs to step it up
I knew it was slow after the previous drag race and it lost to the x5m and turbo GT. Not surprised by this result.
I think Mark braked early in both attempts. I'd expect the Performante to win the drag races, though it is still brand new & probably not quite ran-in yet. Come back after he's put 10k miles on it, I'd say.
Yes and no I guess. You normally take care when your car is brand new and drive it in befor hard use. I guess this performante doesn't get this treatment and with a difference of 16hp and 40kg you only need a well driven in and good performing normal Urus to beat a not so good driven in and little under performing performante to beat it. It maybe gets better with some miles on it but the difference is just to small. The performante is more like a "track car" which the different suspension setup as well wont help with drag racing. All such small things that make the small difference (at least in straight line) disappear.
@@AlcatrazCrylake yes. It maybe hard to repair the car if it is already broken.
You could easily see he braked early both times. Not as bad on the second one tho. He also jumped the start on the drag race he won.
Probably also had Corsa mode on the first 1/2 mile too.
I'd like to see the actual weight of the Performante with all the extras.🐖
10K miles just to make the car do what’s it’s supposed to hell nah 😂

Yes. Especially also in the rainy Wednesday night drag race.
Did Lamborghini improve anything with the performace or just made the standard Urus more worse and branded it as the performante so their next special hardcore edition will seem superior?
I think so
Its obviously tuned slighty off from the factory. Completely normal stuff. This is not scientific research
@@Zoltan1251 Normal stuff...Ok.
@@DeepDarkBlue Of course its normal. Especially with small production cars like Urus. There is like million pieces that affect performance. One or two are slightly off and you have slight drop in performance. Completely normal.
If you know anything about car making you should know that many of these cars have exact same engine and they just put tons of turbos in it, tune it and bam, you have supercar. Nothing magical really. Its not unusual that you have to get Bugatti re-tuned after you buy it.

I watch your videos everyday with enthusiasm as they show how engineering has advanced enormously over the years.
I do worry about modern car interiors with cockpits resembling those that can be found in light aircraft or in a helicopter, and probably costing the same price, as shown in this video.
Fortunately, I'm retired now and only drive around 2000 miles a year. I have a 2009 Mazda 3 bought in 2011 with now 175,000 plus miles on the the clock. It cost me £9,349.00 2nd hand then. I've just realised this price was cheaper than the first three items on the video accessories list for the Urus Performante. It has recently passed its MOT and anything the Mazda dealer states it requires, it gets! I'm still very pleased with the car!
Would the owner of the Urus Performante be better suited to a helicopter to get himself around? Or, am I just being jealous?
