Even in 2020 this is still one of the most impressive fights out there. SFIV at its best, I think your playstyle at a high level as this could’ve truly reflected your personality.
Wow best fights I've seen in a while, such offensive gameplay. Btw I have no clue on how Bullcat predicted that hit at 5:16 lol, you've got to be brave to try that counter there.
at 2:02 it's a HP parry canceled into an EX parry, the imputs are confusing beacause for the ex parry it seems he juste press mp but he also release hp it's called negative edge
@SeriousStu Well it depends on the distance the Ultra 2 comes out relative to your opponent. In that case he was too far away for a follow up attack. But if he was closer to him when the Ultra came out he could've hit a running palm or even an Ex Tatsu in some cases, it all depends on the distance as I said. Hope that answers it:) .
You can cancel into gouken's EX parry from many of his regular specials, including a regular parry. So believe it or not, this guy is good enough to absorb the first hit with a regular parry, then immediately cancel into the EX parry and absorb the second hit.
That's because the keypress tracker doesn't show release, only press. What he did is tap back + HP to get the high counter, then while still holding HP he taps back again and hits MP to give him the two buttons for the EX. :)
Question, why is it Seth's dive kicks have to be blocked high but they made Akuma's Demon Flip Palm non-overhead? It's not like it wasn't extremely telegraphed. Sometimes I wonder if they favor Seth in some way...
Yeah thats probably true. I just remember years ago hanging around arcades and there were the generally more popular characters but even if a character was bad, someone would eventually pick him up and kick ass with him. Im still practicing with Gouken, but Ive mostly used Blanka in SSFIV. He works really well against all the fireball throwing. Im still yet to buy Brawl for some reason, I did have the first smash bros tho. Might pick it up, years late lol.
From my experience, demon flips are for punishing fireballs and for general okizeme purposes. Just throwing it out there isn't too good of an idea. As for the overhead properties, Capcom was just trying to balance the game. Gouken's demon flip dive kick isn't an overhead attack, but his regular one is. At least the game is trying to be consistent.
Well, Infiltration's Gouken was pretty frickin' amazing at the LG Cup and Evo 2012... maybe not as flashy, but Infiltration has an extraordinary mastery of the basics
The great thing about fighting games is that arguments about who was 'outplayed' or whatever are completely pointless. The game doesn't care about who did the most flashy combos or 1-frame links, the game cares about who wins and who loses. If you lose a match, you were outplayed. Simple as that.
Eu adoro o seth...pena que pra ele sair no sfv é impossivel......pongko sumiu tambem do sfv...sera que ele nao se adaptou com os personagens disponiveis?
thanks for the nice words, you dont seem to get my point, let me elaborate. you said : "Till [gouken players] beat/stuns Poongko like this and does the same [...] reads", i just pointed out that the stun came from no read or special combo.
sensational match. Unexpected outcome. I disagree with gouken's end quote though. As far as this match is concerned the calibre of fighters have improved rather than decreased.
Gouken's ultra fireball is chargeable? Alright, haven't seen that yet ... got a good match video where Gouken's ultra is combo'd into and does optimal damage?
Pp are what you gain/drop every game and stay constant regardless of character selection. Bp are what you have won with regard to that one particular player you are using.
its true, he didnt make any special read or combo to stun, just poongko offered him a free punish with that missed legs, any gouken could do that combo
You mean his Down+MK dive kick? Yes I know that, but I don't know why the same isn't true for the Demon Flip Dives since they're so telegraphed and anyone with a decent dragon punch and punish it.
6:22 Why do high-level Gouken players never follow up the Ultra 2 with additional attacks? I thought that was meant to be one of it's main strengths? Wouldn't it have taken the round at this instance?
SF4 was the pinnacle of fighting games it had characters depth intense combos many play styles the graphics hold up today. 🎉
Even in 2020 this is still one of the most impressive fights out there. SFIV at its best, I think your playstyle at a high level as this could’ve truly reflected your personality.
These were the days, miss this
Still the best fighting game! The level of play here is insane!
I love how Poongko can utilize each and every move of Seth. It's really good to watch the beast coming out of him when he do these perfects :D
Wow best fights I've seen in a while, such offensive gameplay. Btw I have no clue on how Bullcat predicted that hit at 5:16 lol, you've got to be brave to try that counter there.
Holy god, two of my all time favorites! You sir, are awesome!
Poongko really likes to start off with perfects haha
miss bullcat and poongko
Now, this is how you play this game.
Bullcat always seems to adjust himself to his opponents play style. Why i love watching him fight.
i'm so happy to see this on youtube
This was pretty awesome! I'm definitely glad i'm subbed to you!
Btw...any word on that Amiyu vid?
good match i subbed blackvegeta keep the ssf4 vids coming
Great video. I love Bullcat and his Gouken!
When u fight Poongko's Seth as a final boss on arcade mode
Amazing, thanks for up!
That was pretty freaking epic.
4:07 holy shit, dat damage!
at 2:02 it's a HP parry canceled into an EX parry, the imputs are confusing beacause for the ex parry it seems he juste press mp but he also release hp it's called negative edge
not its not, they are both ex parries - 2 in a row
@@oniarmageddon3262 but he only has one EX bar
sick matches, sick playets
Great set, thanks.
Great matches !
Thanks !
GREAT MATCHES
Amazing matches
3:37 did Gouken just parry a projectile while jumping?!
amazin fights guys ! Pure high level ;-) !
@SeriousStu Well it depends on the distance the Ultra 2 comes out relative to your opponent. In that case he was too far away for a follow up attack. lol i love how poongko is just mashing buttons while he after he gets a command throw
Gouken's option selects were inspiring
good point there sir!
That particular match didn't have Gouken combo into a charged fireball ultra. Still, you're right there ~ a good match ...
Have not seen bull cat in ages...and the first time i see him now, he fights poongko!!!! Works for me.
omg thanks :D
You can cancel into gouken's EX parry from many of his regular specials, including a regular parry. So believe it or not, this guy is good enough to absorb the first hit with a regular parry, then immediately cancel into the EX parry and absorb the second hit.

4:07 That, good people, is a counter-attack.
Demon flip + Punch = Gouken's air focus. Mainly useful for baiting Ryu's DPs and other non armor breaking specials and anti air attacks.
great matches
youre right bro best way to play seth is to learn his mix ups and put your opponent under pressure
I see, thanks for info :)
I wonder if that dive kick at the end was unblockable. That looked deeeeeeeeeep
Can't you follow up the wall bounce from Denjin with something else like a Tatsu or somethng?
Question, why is it Seth's dive kicks have to be blocked high but they made Akuma's Demon Flip Palm non-overhead? It's not like it wasn't extremely telegraphed. Sometimes I wonder if they favor Seth in some way...
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD BEST..
Loving bullcat's play

really sweet OS's by bullcat.
Well, Infiltration's Gouken was pretty frickin' amazing at the LG Cup and Evo 2012... maybe not as flashy, but Infiltration has an extraordinary mastery of the basics
Cool matches
4:07 DAT DAMAGE
You know Akuma's regular dive kick must be blocked high right? And that it has enough hitstun to combo after hitting a standing opponent?
The great thing about fighting games is that arguments about who was 'outplayed' or whatever are completely pointless. The game doesn't care about who did the most flashy combos or 1-frame links, the game cares about who wins and who loses. If you lose a match, you were outplayed. Simple as that.
how did bullcat focus absorb the sonic boom in the air? at 3:37
The first fight is actually the last battle of Bullcat playing arcade mode on Poongko difficulty setting
sick option select by bullcat on 1:23
What does Seth say when attacking with Sonic Boom?
7:40 hard to figure where to block..... is that even block-able?
no, the PP is his Personal Points. the BP is for the character, and we can't see his spot in endless. but i think he's nr 1 or 2
very entertaining
Eu adoro o seth...pena que pra ele sair no sfv é impossivel......pongko sumiu tambem do sfv...sera que ele nao se adaptou com os personagens disponiveis?
I want to see Bullcat at the top. Grand finals or something. Clearly the ability is there.
thanks for the nice words, you dont seem to get my point, let me elaborate.
you said : "Till [gouken players] beat/stuns Poongko like this and does the same [...] reads", i just pointed out that the stun came from no read or special combo.
Freaking godlike battle
Do you os your ultra the same way you of an srk?
kinda wish he had some of Shen Long's supposive moves such as Dual Dragon Beam (It is self explanatory)
great fighters.
Wait at 6:20 didn't he connect flush with that denjin? Couldn't he have at least followed it up with a palm strike or something?
Allstar matchup if I've ever seen one
Announcer: "Too smart for that!"
1:24 was NICE
Yet, if you check his buttons on left side of screen, it shows High Med.
sensational match. Unexpected outcome. I disagree with gouken's end quote though. As far as this match is concerned the calibre of fighters have improved rather than decreased.
What's the song on the first match ?
you havent heard of option selects, did you?
@Gnorconpro yes you can
Streeekkuboom!
Oh the terror.
Bullcat: This ain't no freaking combo video! 1:06
bullcat was option selecting that ultra 2 like a bad ass!!
Gouken's ultra fireball is chargeable? Alright, haven't seen that yet ... got a good match video where Gouken's ultra is combo'd into and does optimal damage?
It's like watching two demi-gods fighting.
Option selects all year round with bullcat
Sorry for the newbie question but what does PP and BP stand for?
battle points and player points
Pp are what you gain/drop every game and stay constant regardless of character selection. Bp are what you have won with regard to that one particular player you are using.
Whenever i face a seth all im thinking to my head is "don't get perfect"
its true, he didnt make any special read or combo to stun, just poongko offered him a free punish with that missed legs, any gouken could do that combo
What happened at 2:01? Double parry?
STINKY BOOM
This looked mighty free until about 1:04 when Bullcat took off his training weights
You mean his Down+MK dive kick? Yes I know that, but I don't know why the same isn't true for the Demon Flip Dives since they're so telegraphed and anyone with a decent dragon punch and punish it.
Dose option selects...
The only thing that bothers me about Bullcat in this video is that he never does Gouken's SRK after his UC2!
That super in the second match last round did a loooooooooot of damage
6:22 Why do high-level Gouken players never follow up the Ultra 2 with additional attacks? I thought that was meant to be one of it's main strengths? Wouldn't it have taken the round at this instance?
Poongko what are you doing, poongko... STAHP!
nice games
SKITZEEBU! I thought I was the only one. Gouken's got the Hastruken.
@ the end quote: Man thats harsh...
If Poongko was the A.I I'd probably throw my controller at the television.
