what im trying to say is dont judge it on the one game where he blows up bullcat. because we usually see daigo playing tougher players. ive seen akame lose a lot but he seems a lot improved now. maybe he's better than daigo, who knows

I think it is counterhit specific, cause for sweep followup you need counterhit.
This ryu played this matchup so good, he has to make gouken really uncomfortable, get in his face, safe jumps/rtsd all day.
Only on a counter hit, that's when U2 Full Animation initiates.

Bullcat got beat so fast first game, the song didn't get to restart.
I never said he's a better player just a more solid ryu and now I'd like to rephrase that to a more solid rushdown ryu but I think at this point in daigo's career none of those affect him other than jet lag maybe. I guess I was just baffled by his reactions and consistency.
im not talking about the link cr.mk > fireball. im talking about cr.mk pause, then EX fireball = counter hit into sweep, ultra etc... daigo uses all of those cr.mp .. watch his gameplay when he was in singapore. there is hours of him applying so many frame traps. he also uses fwd HP better than anyone ive seen. daigo was very good at ceo, he lost close games. as 4 EVO, it happens. nerves? PS3 input delay costing him against cammy maybe? i havent seen akame play these level of players before tho

i dont know why everyone says that ryu is all about zoning.. he has a very good rushdown game with some very damaging combos

well he uses daigos frame trap of c.mk , fireball. daigo did that before it became so common. and akame has great frame traps, but ive seen daigo do all of them plenty before. like i said, when u rush down u have more opportunities for traps. me and u have a diff definition for solid. and no they do not play the same players. akame is from the other side of the country. ive seen loads of his games and i wouldnt say he is more solid. not saying daigo is more solid

Lol the reason I said he's more solid is because of his links and fame traps. Daigo goes crazy with his one frame links but other times he is careful but this guy takes almost every opportunity he takes . And lol daigo facing tougher players? They play against the same people and this ryu is the 2nd and his win ratio isn't that far from daigos.
