@@nicholasbeshel813 mostly horizontal, long straight lines, every third row. It's the easiest/most efficient way of revealing resources, finding gadgets, and navigating the tunnels yu've made.

Now correct me if I'm wrong, but compound interest is technically, each multiplier gaining overall effectiveness by simply increasing the original integer, so your base number, then using the multiplier. So your multiplier is gaining power over time by increasing your base score.

I've been watching these Dome vods pretty regularly, but I somehow completely missed his 180 on the lift. Badmouthing the lift in front of all its apologists was one of my favorite arcs of the series

The thing that kills the lift is that it stops working during waves. Like the point in the game where you'd want extra resources the lift just doesn't pull it's weight.
same for teleport tho, all gadgets except for the stun laser don't work while the wave is active, you can't even overload your main gadget then

lift + portal combo is pretty op cause u can just stay in the mines put everything on the lift then tele up right when the round starts. even better with repel.
Or idk just upgrade the teleporter so that it can carry resources and you back.

Pretty sure the repellent upgrade is additive. It appears it went from 20% to 50% of the bar.

proceeds to spend more time "quality of life mining" to mitigate the effects of the damage done by psycho mining
all to avoid simply digging in a straight line
I've had a lift Drillbert Run.
Drillbert and his brother dug up perfect tunnels I hauled the resources from the tunnels to the elevator
Worked like a charm! Bought like no drill or carrying capacity upgrades as it was all done for me.
Hey NL! Just a tip, if you get longer stabbing range to level 2 you can one shot the big birds! That’s in brutal difficulty, at least. And the sword also extends for what feels like a minute, unless you deal all the damage it has

Not sure of your entire realm of game types you enjoy, but have you looked at Flashback 2 coming soon and did you ever play the first one?
Great a "i know i need the drillspeed" episode. Digging out squares like you do NL together with low drillspeed is unefficiant. You could top this off by not getting drillspeed at all and just start drilling away every block you encounter.
When NL has enough iron laying in the mines to heal, but leaves them behind to bring up some water 🤡
How do you heal with iron?

Buying the HP upgrade. It doesn't give bonus healing in every gamemode, but the extra max HP comes filled. When NL said "well we're not gonna get to 14" right at the end that's what he was talking about.

Also as a not 'middle management type' I have to tell you you are wasting time the way you dig. You can already see there is nothing in a 2 wide strip.
I did learn from you that the tree can give more than one square though :)
Also your vertical digging makes more sense then my own horizontal strip mining, since you always have to go vertical to get back up. Deeper it gets really wide so maybe a mixture of vertical and horizontal makes sense there.

According to every Dr everywhere, wearing glasses doesn't make your eyesight worse. Your eyes just get worse. Same as not wearing glasses if you need them.
It really says something about the game's balance that it never feels good to pivot to playing for score.

Do get it twisted, eventually you will pivot into high score generation, invest in your econ now to reap the rewards later. 100% of dome keepers quit just before they hit the sqaure rich veins.

my ex-girlfriend had such bad vision when she was young, she couldn't see what leaves on the trees really looked like. after she got her glasses she said she felt like she was seeing things like leaves and flowers on the ground for the first time. Downloaded this game, it is so easy to have less psycho tunnels than egg does
I feel like NL's amazing banter and inefficient gameplay is such an amazing W for game developers. Sometimes people don't feel the desire to play games that they've watched enough gameplay of, but there've been so many times where I've bought games after watching NL play just because I /need/ to see/experience the game being played better haha
And then NL eventually gets absolutely pogged at most games, and everyone wins
