I just loved that run a few vids back where he bought 3 extra orbs, didnt use the lift at all, and then almost died (or died i forget) bc he was lacking the resources for other upgrades. Baffling gameplay.

Also digging 3 miles straight down makes the lift take longer to cycle

The lift takes longer to work the more you dig down. The orbs always travel the full length twice and are already slow delay digging down as much as possible with the lift.
That moment when he finally puts the teleporter at the bottom of a 1-wide well ... and then immediately fucks it up by digging sideways.
My life has become just wait time in between dome keeper episodes

that would make sense. like maybe the first wave is the monster's brother, and then its parents, and so on and so forth
I don't think there's lore here. I think it goes as far as, you're landing on a world that is not yours and have to deal with the natives who don't like the dome.

NL firmly not using the elevator tilts me so hard. I'd also like to point out that I make this comment while owning and playing the game myself.
we should also talk about how many upgrades were taken before upgrading the converter to multiply iron.
I think post update they nerfed it hella, but the 4.1 or whatever version was amazing.
@@aureus79 Lift got a recent buff, starts with one more orb and it is cheaper to ugprade new orbs now. it's decent but pre nerf teleporter was king for sure
On the nil chance that this gets read; yes, Usain carries resources faster, but he can also mine fast, whereas all the lift does is LIFT
Edit: I also own it, and I've got 1400ish on prestige mode, and I'm bad enough at it that I can't afford to ignore basic strategy. I guess that's why it hurts to watch X]
For me, it's less that he doesn't use it but digs straight downwhile having it, bombs to go deeper, and then complains that it's slow.

Exactly. The streamer through example, pleading or bans determines what kind of tone and conversation the chatters engage in. It's not changing viewers permamently, but only temporarily for a particular streamer can/will alter their behaviour.
Yeah it sounds like he doesn't know what "chat is a reflection of the streamer" means because what he said makes no sense.
The long stab fake out was a tiny despair.
I think the game rewards him for digging straight down. The developers probably didn’t expect that type of rushed gameplay. But it worked super hard for him early on.

I've come to accept the fact that we'll never see him picking long stab or wither.
Its insane how bad he is at using the lift so thats a -2. But I still love him and will remain here in support
I think a better way to use the lift is to move all the resources to the lift and leave them there. then go back to mining. That way you can mine for an extra 15 seconds or so before you have to go up for the wave
But the lift also does harm
If you need resources to let's say upgrade your sword you won't get that resource until the next wave or two so you lose hp
@@polygontower It would have to be compared to the counterfactual. If you don't have life, but instead have another gadget, do you get any more resources? would the extra fifteen sconds of mining be replaced by another benefit?
if the extra resources are something you wouldn't have gotten till at least the next wave anyway, because you didn't get them out of the rock in the first place, no additional damage was taken.

i love the srtarting scene where the shadow creature dies from a heart atack right before being crushed by the dome.
I love how NL really loves the Repellant (because it absolutely is the best gadget), constantly argues for having more time between waves, even correctly concludes that that affects the Condenser or Converter positively, yet NEVER (at least from what I've seen and that's north of 10 hours) uses long cycles even tho that literally does what he likes :D
Best gadget in relic hunt. In prestige, ehh, it's debatable.

I understand why he hates lift. The has two trips wort of groceries but instead loading the first half into the lift and just carrying the rest, he just puts the half into the lift shaft, runs up with the second half and then instead of going and getting more groceries he comes back and take the groceries from the lift. He must hate the lift for not lifting things while he not letting it lift anything

You wondered why your score wasn't kept. My guess is with the teleporter nerf, they cleared all the scores. If they didn't then some records under the old rules might be inachievable.

Try the longer blade. It's way better than heavy blade because it's way faster and still does more damage. It's the only way to beat the final wave.

If I was watching this live I would be timed out for ranting about taking Lift and never using it. Should have just crunched it for triangles.
I don't know where the disconnect of pre-loading the lift with 3~4 trips worth of resources that get lifted up while he's doing things like fighting off waves or looking for more resources is a more efficient use of time than manually carrying the resources up is, even if you do manually carry some up it's infinitely better to pull from the resources already in the lift and any you don't grab gets brought up for you...

Lift needs the speed upgrade to be worth it

Extremely flawed lift logic. While the lift is lifting, you can use that time to mine more. If you don't make the lift so long, it also takes less time to transport things to the top.
