Alien Soldier is Treasure’s crowning achievement on the Sega Genesis. I cannot wait to replay it countless times!
I'd say Gunstar Heroes is their crowning achievement. But I've heard really good things about Alien Soldier (even though I never played it).

Do not sleep on Alien Soldier. It's hard but pretty damn good. It's unreal what Treasure pulled off with this game.

They really pushed the Genesis/MegaDrive hardware to its limits with this game. At least until Watermelon Manufacturer came around with Pier Solar and Paprium.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles would be fun to have on this. I hope it comes soon! (yes I know Sonic 1 isn't here yet but Sonic fans will understand the pain of not having a official Sonic 3 re-release in forever).

Edit: Fun fact, this game hasn't came back to consoles since the Wii, (edit again) but was recently re-released on the Sega Genesis Classics Collection on PS4, Switch etc.
The soundscape in that game is very visceral. Soundtrack is heaven and it only helps that it’s a great game
Too bad it’s only the EU version updated to 60fps. The US version was the final build at the time but is a myth today cause the source code for that was rumored to be lost on the Sega channel. The upgrade is nice I guess but nobody was able to play the US version unless you subscribed to Sega channel in 1995 and actually played it.
That's actually incorrect. It's a game available to be played in the Sega Genesis Classics Collection
@@CyberKnightProbably It's a port of the Wii virtual console version so it should still be pretty good to play. It is sad about the US version though

Imagine this a VR Suit that sensors your hole body and Your hole body is in the reality world
Let's say COD by picking weapons you act like they are on your hands.
And you act like your shooting a actual gun or they can give you a pistol or big gun. That way you can act like your playing
The Audio and mic are in your headset your head set includes a 360 audio experience
It's like 360 experience but your hole body and when you move your leg yyou can see your leg
Let's say Boxing you can punch
And you have NBA 2k Live
You can move around and hit like your playing in real life this would help people more
The shooting maybe the trigger from your finger touching thebottom like your firing a real weapon
You can turn volume down on headset. If you want to disconect on back your hand or take off headset. And your surrounded by things so you don't hit your self with surroundings
That way it comes with some gadgets.
And the way you move your hand is the way you do it in real life basketball and yes your VR body should be no ccollide so no one goes in yyou
It would help a lot of people and the next VR Suit would include something big
The ssuit controlling you like if someone punch you. You feel it a little bit
If you guys needed to drive
You would double press something it would change it and the wheels brakes and things on it.
The set is like a Transformed Set Sweet mama wouldn't that be perfect it feels like your cold gangsta and your in L.A

Or third person body you can view the character and you will get over the 3rd person

Alien Solider is really great. It's tough, especially near the end, but mastering the gameplay is rewarding. It's just so cool. Light Crusader is also pretty good, despite looking a little weird. Definitely worth a try. And Super Fantasy Zone is a classic that everyone can have a bit of fun with.
This is the perfect game to have a rewind feature, which is feature that's on all the Nintendo online console collections. The rewind here is much more useful than just a standard save state.
Because if you use save states you'll inevitably have to go back further. Unless you're save stating every 5 seconds. So imagine you get on a long run against a boss, and right at the very end you mess up and die. Well with save states you'll probably at that point have to go back to the beginning of the whole fight, and you have to do it all again. But with the rewind, you can just skip back a few seconds to before you made the mistake, and then start replaying from there and not make the mistake this time.
So yeah even though we've been able to play these games for a while now in switch, the other ways to play them only have save states, no rewind feature.
So yeah I'm really excited we're getting these games in this service/app/whatever you wanna call it, cos now they'll be much much easier to learn how to play. The rewind feature is just the underdog feature boxer that's secretly better than the world champ of features, the save state.
So yeah I know what I'm playing today. Is it today that it's coming out? I'll have to just check I suppose. But I was in the middle of playing Celeste and it's hard to tear yourself away from it.
Light Crusader looks like something i'd like a lot, can't wait to play that.
It's hella good. I haven't fully beat it but got pretty far into it.

You can actually play both Light Crusader & Alien Soldier on the Sega Genesis Classics Collection which is sold on Switch. That's the problem I've had with this expansion pack so far, most of the Genesis games are already in Sega Classic collection & Capcom Arcade Stadium.
@@MagnumDragon Light Crusader is my least favorite Treasure game I've played. Love most of the other ones they did though.

Alien Soldier is one of the best games on the Genesis in my opinion. It's up there with Monster World IV, The Adventures of Batman & Robin, Lightening Force (Thunder Force 4), Beyond Oasis, Castlevania Bloodlines and Contra Hardcore.
All of those games I feel pushed the Genesis hardware to the limits to get some truly amazing looking games.

25. Originally the game was gonna be 50 levels and 50 bosses long but they had to cut half of the whole game.

Both the Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis were great video game consoles on their own. It doesn't really matter what strengths and weaknesses they have since they have a great library of games and played a part of people's childhood. For us consumers it's about the more, the merrier.
It's awesome to see Super Fantasy Zone here. Not enough people appreciate how important of a Sega franchise it is

Light Crusader is actually a rather enjoyable RPG title. You wouldn't expect a company like treasure to make RPGs. This one's quite phenomenal

The amount of games they got on there is insane! I'm so happy I still got that. Had that game for many years. One time it literally disappeared and I immediately went to get another one. It's a true GEM.

Haven't heard of any of these, but it's always good to widen the collection.
To be fair Alien Soldier only got physical releases in Japan & Europe initially while in the US it was exclusive to the SEGA Channel service (Just like Mega Man The Wily Wars) And the only official re-releases outside of Japan since were on the now defunct Wii Virtual Console and later Steam.

Alien Soldier is very hard, but worth the struggle, like contra, metal slug. Get it physical if you can to.
It's also on the Sega Genesis collection you can get physical or digitally on switch eshop.

I know there might be some complications due to a remastered version coming out, but I'd like to see Snow Bros. on the Sega Genesis. It's completely in English, it's better than the arcade, and it's got some extra stuff none of the other versions have.
I never played Alien Soldier, but this clip alone makes me nostalgic for the Genesis games I remember from the mid-90s.
You gotta play it, that game is a masterpiece. I also think the devs who made Metroid Dread got inspiration from it. There are some similar mechanics

I was wondering about the SEGA Genesis games, recently. Maybe in future updates, we'll get games like:
- ToeJam and Earl in Panic on Funkotron
- Mega Man: The Wily Wars
- Rocket Knight Adventures
- Fatal Labyrinth
- Crusader of Centy (Soleil)
My Retro-Bit Genesis Bluetooth controller is ready for these games we're getting this month, though.

Konami doesn't participate in this subscription service. They're more likly to sell rocket Knight in a game collection. Wich is better as those won't leave after the switch's life ends.

Definitely would be great for Rocket Knight Adventures to make it on. It's been left out of the Genesis mini lineup as well as most (all?) Genesis compilations released over the years.

We got a Treasure Double Feature here and Alien Solider is the highlight.
It is kinda an amazing feat that a Nintendo console has games from its 90's rival (Sega Genesis games), and from its current rival (Banjo Kazooie, Minecraft, Ori, etc).
I've never played Alien Soldier.....and it looks frigging awesome. Can't wait!

I wonder if they're gonna release Pulseman on the Genesis app. It was one of Game Freak's early original games, released just before Pokémon Red/Green, and was previously ported to the Wii's Virtual Console!

Pulseman would be a major win. That game even had an official translation, but it only came out for Sega Net so if you didn't have it back in the 90s you couldn't play the game.
Fox, Falco, and Wolf all owe their Smash movesets to Alien Soldier. It looks heavily inspired by that game

This is a decent lineup. BTW thought I'd ask is there any chance of re-releasing Ragnacenty/ Crusader of Centy/Soliel on the service. It's the one megadrive/genesis game that never got released for the various sega collections in 2 decades and it's a gem of an action rpg that everyone should try out. :)

@@knuclear200x because Genesis games get rereleased all the time, but these other systems rarely get their games rereleased, if ever. We need games like Virtua Fighter 2, Crazy Taxi, Daytona USA, Sega Rally Championship, etc.
