No matter the motor, although I do like the M8 better for all that you said of it. The Slim is the best looking Harley out there in my opinion. A real turn back and take a second look bike 100%.👍😎🇦🇺

I have the 2020 slim with z bars absolutely love the bike. Iam 511 and fit perfect. Power, handling and LOOKS are awesome!! I’ll be putting a stage 1 in next month and can’t wait for next season to see the full potential of the bike. Safe riding everyone!

Hey guys , awesome video. I myself like newer and older Harley's , my main bike is a shovelhead and when I'm on that bike I'm back in 1982 , I've thought this over and over again and I really like going back to 1982. Now my newest bike is a 2016 breakout 103 , I love everything about that fat wide and low Harley , bigger engine bigger power compared to my shovelhead . I'm not in a hurry to get an m8 but if it's in my future I'm going for an fxdr . You two guys are what CZcams needs in bikes cause we viewers get to see diff'rent point of views and cause I like newer and older I like hearing both sides in the Harley world . Be safe guys on them bikes and in health , I'll be looking forward to more of your videos .

Great vid. I, too own a FLSS...2016 twin motor. I share the same evals for these two engine/frames. So...diff to me. But you guys hit it on the spot “it’s whatever fits/you prefer”. I prefer, still...the feel of the twin. But do love the M8s.
The handlebars on the twincam are too wide.
I love both the twin cam, and the M8. Currently ride a 2019 Lowrider, and loving every mile of it.

I had a 2015 Slim and absolutely loved it. When I was looking to trade I was not a fan of the seating on the M8 slim, but I didnt fall in love with and buy a 2018 Heritage 107. Great motors! Awesome vids.
You can't go wrong with a Heritage...you can tour on it, or strip it down for around town. Cheers.
What was it about the seating of the M8 compared to the 103?
@@Kaegis sat alot higher on the bike vice in it. Frame design and lack of accessories early on.
Which model has more plush suspension? Sadly I am hearing the M8 air suspension is prone to leaking? I test rode a 2017 Slim-S 110, and that thing was awesome. Probably the ducks nuts really, as was just the right amount of vibrations yet the awesome sound and power. I think the "Slim-S vs the M8 107" would have been a better comparison.

James - I am about to buy a 2020 slim. Not a fan of the stock seat. I am a solid guy like you. Would you recommend any solo seats that are comfortable and match the post war aesthetics?

I'm using a Saddlemen Step Up right now. It's a great seat, but it does take away from the look a little. I'm considering a Le Pera Bare Bones...won't be as comfy, but it'll be better than stock for certain.

there is no getting away from it ,= they are both great , but which one ? slims here in the uk are fetching strong money for both types ;;
I coulda bought a brand new harley with cash if I wanted. But I bought a 2016 with 9k miles on it for a reason. The twin cam 103 sounds like a HARLEY. The M8 just don’t have “it”. I don’t buy a harley to win races so I could care less if the M8 has more power and is faster.
The 103 HO is fast enough to get you killed
My 103 will keep up with an m8 no problem but it’s not stock

Better handling and better power... and people are commenting that the 103 sounds better? lol. I'll take the M8 version thanks. So I 100% agree with James. I'm sure a good pipe will solve that issue anyway. I don't like the open and super loud flappity flap sound of old open pipe Harleys anyway, give me a Rinehart 2 into 1 which makes the M8 sound like an 8 cylinder muscle car.

Its all about character in the twin cam, you lose a bit with the M8 Harley
you'd ride those long distance? Not a chamce. Not designed for it. Get a dedicated touring bike for distance
you went on and on talking about the sun and how motorcyling makes you feel instead of the bikes ....had to give up after 9 minutes of that pablum. don't quit your day job.
