- Who remembers when you could go to an ice cream van on a British summer's day afternoon and buy a mr whippy cone for 99P?
Well we can remember these days, but they seem to be a distant memory.
we often find that in london or manchester city centres ice cream vans can be charging as much as £4 for a humble mr whippy ice cream.
ice creams should still be 99p in our opinion, so we are taking on the challenge of searching the whole of the UK for a mr whippy ice cream that is sold for 99p.
do you think we will be able to find one?
this is the fourth installment of this fun youtube series.
we travel to southport in the north west of england to see if we can find some 99p 99 mr whippy walls ice cream along their coast line promenade .
This was the week before the 2023 eurovision competition and was alot of fun to film along the prom!
we also find some strawberry sauce too.

Sometimes for the younger kids they even snap the cone in half so it’s manageable and charge them 50p
in newcaslte (whitely bay) the mr whippys are normally 1 pound but if you ask they give you it for 99p

When I was a kid, the ice cream van man on our road used to do 99s for 60p and doubles for £1. Those were the days

I think i did see one 99p because me and my Nan go to Portsmouth every year near summer time and we would normally hang out near south sea because we live in Gosport which is right beside Portsmouth and it really cheap and fast if you take the Gosport ferry

There is a tiny ice cream café a few kilometers away from me. In a town in the forest. There you can get this kind of ice cream for 1€ (86p) and they deliver huge portions. Everybody there just picks a small because the large servings are just too much. This is in Germany

In parks on warm days or on the roads these ice cream vans would come out and with one of the ice cream man’s I am very good friends with them
