I always love Simon Crafar's insights about all tech around MotoGP. Thank you! 🙏🏼
I love Simon's ability to simplify the complexities of the technology and that he's got so much detail memorised.
Simon's tech talk is close to the enjoyment you get from watching a race. Always interesting, always informative, always learn something I didn't know. Thanks to Simon and the team. Brilliant.
10:25 reminds me of Corning's "vermillion" technology for sunglasses. The theory is that daylight is very blue, and when a reddish tint, or coating is applied to the lens, it increases not only contrast but chromatic definition. I had one of those glasses, and it is quite interesting; once you put it on things look quite pinkish, or magenta, but in minutes your brain ajusts, and things look incredibly clear. Then, after some time, when you remove the glasses, the world looks flat and blue.
interesting. thanks for sharing your experience.
Ski goggle manufacturers have been using that tech since the '70s. My favorite lens were rose colored. The best in my opinion is polarized.
this is why for street daytime riding I wear Oakleys with a clear visor instead of just a tinted visor. I definitely notice the difference
Oakley prizm lens use this technology. I use either prizm road or prizm golf whilst riding/driving on the road. With either lens, makes all of the colours "pop" e.g. reds look brighter.
My man Simon talked for 14 minutes straight without drinking water 😭🙌🏼 great tech talk again!
Simon Crafar is a massive benefit to MotoGP! He is intelligent but has a real knack of getting the message across! Keep up the good work Simon and MotoGP for letting him do these tech talks!

@@CBMoto. great mate we are blessed having supportive fans
@@MaverickPrimegang Is this really Syain Guintoli? That's awesome! I don't normally see people of your stature in the youtube comment section. You must be excited about how strong Suzuki is right now. I hope we get to see you as a wildcard somewhere this year. Stay safe friend.
@@rexstetson1717 unfortunately it isnt the real Sylvain Guintoli. I think Sylvain has his own youtube channel that he regularly updates
Use Rossi helmet for thumbnail and the video talking about Arai.
AGV: Wait, that illegal!
They are all in MOTOGP connection , ALL THE HELMET IN THE WORLD goes inside MOTOGP and even all the BRAND of RIDING GEAR SUITE of every RiDER ... THAT'S WHY IT IS #NOT ILLEGAL ... LOL !! 😂😂😂✌✌✌
Simon has such a passion for motorcycling. It's not a job when you love what you do.
The way Simon provides the information is very polite, entertaining and interesting. Thank you.

Best content beside racing, that MotoGP provides. No question.
Simon, you are my guru. Still learning more about our favorite sport. Thanks for all you do for us. 👌

Loved the presentation, easy , informative , clear .
Love these little bits. Great job Simon.
Ironically thumbnail has agv helmet and his talking about arai😅
Probably to emphasize that this isn't an ad
fir the people to watch because TBH arai helmets ain't just beautiful to look at aesthetically speaking.
Favorite series on CZcams
this guy is such a great reporter also! such passion and talent for teaching other enthusiasts. Big up Simon, hope Dorna will keep you on team for a long time!
Great video Simon, thank you! Having cracked my skull before and broken two helmets in accidents, I now closely follow advancements. Helmets such as 6D, Fly Formula (dirt only for now) and to a degree MIPS equipped helmets, are now managing impacts better than the traditional EPS (foam) liner. Concussion research from other sports such as American Football are driving advancements in impact management and leading to better performing helmets for all of us.
I love Simon, he works so hard.
Thank u so much for all of the videos. Lot of good information 💚👍🏻✌🏻💚
Loved this one Simon, especially as I'm an Arai wearer myself. Keep up the great work!!
Love your insights Simon! Keep it up!

Simon is a great ambassador for MotoGP. His racing life and teaching life are inspiring. One day I will attend his Motovudu racing school!
Great explanation Simon. Thanks mate!
Arai helmet saved my life in my massive motorcycle crash in 2018. I was able to learn to walk again after 7months. Last year I got back on motorcycle. I got myself new helmet too. It was Arai again :)
Do an explanation about the aerodynamics of a helmet next please Simon ! Loving these tech talks !
Great explanation!
Another great video!!
Very informative Simon san ❤️
i was'nt going to watch it at first i thought it would be a bit boring and it was only the fact i bought a new lid recently ,so glad i watched it never thought that so much went into making a crash helmet and the tech that's involved ,made me feel a whole lot safer that's for sure .,awesome vid.
love this content!
Excellent !!

Great Content 👍🏼
Awesome... Just Awesome. Id love a helmet like that.
thanks simon
Keep more tech talk like this.
Hi Simon #TechTalk Thanks for these vlogs! They are great info for us fans! Please can Simon get hold of the details of Maverick's crash at The Styrian GP and show us what happened to his suit and how the protection worked and allowed him to get up and walk away from jumping off the bike at over 200kmh! ( I still can't believe or understand how he did that!) Can't wait for Misano today!....
Great information :-)
I absolutely love my Arai, the best lid out there for road or Track. Simon Crafar is brilliant in all aspects of MotoGP
It is very cool to see him explaining all that . . . and anyone who has had their Arai long enough to take it apart and wash it now knows without a doubt we are wearing the good stuff!
This is great
Loved it
Nice talk
Great insight thought they’d have coms tbf
Love Simon❤️
Neat video 🤩
I did enjoy the video very much. I've kept all my road bike helmets over the year's. One AGV Three SHOEI and Two ARAI. If they ever come up with a helmet that has the comfort of Arai and the visor mechanism of Shoei that would be a design very hard to top.
Great video. Are any features in a motoGP helmet available in a coustom retail helmet?
Love these videos!!!
Thank you Simon.
How about Moto GP update these wonderful videos WITHOUT the "Suffocator".
I'd much prefer to see Simon's face❣️
Tech Talk rules!
Finally Simon hold the tatsuki suzuki's arai. Cannot wait to see that model in production, would be the nice one
Love and trust my Arai helmet👍
Simon is perfect ! =)
Great work Simon.. the way you explain is just fantastic... #tiktok 🤣🤣😝👍👍
Motogp never go political I love you
Nice feature though with the " beware hot gases " sticker on the Maverick V. helmet !
thank you that was interesting !
If i'm using for example shoei x-spirit 3, does it means that it should pass the FIM test? or it's not exactly the same helmet like the motogp riders use?
Thanks Simon I was wondering what the riders were tearing off.
I'm really digging the "double-glazed" donut visors 😅
The rose tint in visors is for blocking out blue light. All aviation pilots wear blue blocker glasses because when you remove excess blue light the contrast of the other colours goes up. For this reason eagles also have a rose tinted eyelid to help spotting prey.
Blue blocker sunglasses also work well in marine environments....where there is excess blue light from both the sky and sea.
Great
Yess jam 10 waktu nya begadang wuhuuu mantap slurrrr 46

3.17! I always wait to see how long before Simon says 'when I was racing'. This time it was 3.17. (And 9.01 but who's counting) Bless his cotton socks
Vale with the AGV Pista GP-R on the Thumbnail but Simon Stay in the Arai Truck :D
he made it all interesting.
simon does well. he always seems nervous though and sometimes loses track of thought. keep it up!
Bloody hell Arai's are nice helmets.
Mantap
I have two Arai helmets. Most comfortable I've ever had.I also swear by pinlock system.
Does it have tearoff too?
I wonder why Mips technology wasn't mentioned . Helped me on my bicycle crash , wish I had those rib protectors though . Cracked 3 😁
