Great video and loved how Simon explained things from his professional-rider perspective! If Alpinestars is reading, I have a question regarding Marquez's crash as depicted in the video (question below):
    * I've rewatched many times the crash and it seems Marquez broke his humerus upon the front tire slamming his right upper arm (the impact was enough to actually launched him further so it was a massive hit). It seems to me as though the airbag doesn't reach down that far down to the upper arm where the impact occurred. Could Alpinestars confirm if the airbag did actually shield the front tire impact? And Is there any reason the airbags for not shielding the upper arms (fully down to elbow)? It looks to me like Marquez's hit was bad luck and on the right spot where there was no airbag or armor shielding. Many thanks for any replies!

My Z Custom ventilated jacket was among the first to have the arms pre-curved, and at the time I didn't get why. After almost 20 years (and two renovations) later, I still love it. That's also when pre-curved gloves first began to be available. So some racing technology does reach us street riders. I just hope airbag jackets become more affordable!

Hearing how old suits were, I feel pretty blessed even having my older generation suit. Its perfectly comfortable on the bike, yet also almost perfect off the bike too. Very mildly tight front but I can walk around just fine, hump isn't great for seats (I doubt they ever will be), but otherwise I could wear it all day. Boots are notably older with the bracing on the outside, squeak and not great to walk in, but all of the safety considerations mentioned are also there for me. Gloves have been tested in a 90mph highside onto my palm, the smallest scuff and I didn't even get a bruise. It sounds like I really take gear improvements for granted.
