Love these Tech Talks with Simon. He really knows his stuff and has a great way of expressing himself.đđ
He's for MotoGP what Joylon Palmer is for F1 haha
@@stefanoe.m.1540 Simon won races for Yamaha. Jolyon did not win anything, Jolyon just have a rich dad.
@@TheAslakVind I mean because of his role and character đđ
He's great, isn't he? đ€©
@@TheAslakVind Haha what a savage
"Oh dear. This tyre is letting go terribly."
The most polite rider feedback ever!!!
Man I can listen to this guy for hours. More of tech vid pls!!!!
We've got an entire playlist on our channel of Simon's previous Tech Talks! There'll be more coming this season too đ
@@motogp great insight that we donât normally get to see.
That APRILIA is gorgeous, and i love the FAUSTO name on the wings.
amazing tech talk! Simon Crafar really know how to describe all these technical terms in a clear, lovely and passionate way. Thank you!
As a Kiwi I cannot tell you how proud I am to see Simon doing his thing on a world scale.
So good having someone who knows his stuff and has been there himself explaining this stuff in such a simplistic way.
Excellent work.
Simon, when you started out hosting it was pretty rough. But you have become an absolute treasure. I'm glad that you and your employer stayed the course. I hope we get to hear a bit more from you vs last season. Cheers!
Couldn't agree more! Even when it was rough at first, I still enjoyed Simon more than Dylan. Now that Simon's comfortable, it's great! When he cuts in I perk up because I know it'll be something meaningful and worthwhile!
@brett..spot on 1000%
You can tell Simon rides a motorcycle by the way he explains the operation of a motorcycle and his body movements when he explains it. He was in an era of racing thatâll be missed.
Plus, thereâs some amazing machining work on that steering head.
He still teaches riders how to go fast at many of the top tracks throughout the world
Back in the day..simon was gonna qualify on pole, until mick doohan has a last lap superhuman effort to snatch pole. Simon was watching, standing next to the interviewer and responded by saying..âwow, heâs just great !â Simon, youâre a man among men..bravo!
Love his engine sound effects lol
These are always some of my fave moments from MGP weekends - love Simon's explanations!
Finally after months, we are back to this lovely TikTok. What an informatife explanation, Simon! And what a gorgeous bike as well. Can wait to see Aprilia on the podium.
Hahaha, I heard him say tiktok too!
@@Motosapien46 Wasn't just me then!
Really enjoy listening to Simon on these tech talks. You can feel the years of experience come through.
Simon surely makes the MotoGP season a little more exciting
most excited kiwi I've ever seen đ
Gotta love the Kiwis..I love to see Bruce Anstey being interviewed just before or just after he did 6 laps of the IOM TT course lapping at over 130mph..
John Britten at Daytona Bike week wins that trophy.
These Tech Talk videos are truly awesome, so great to have you back Simon, well done!! đđ
Thanks, Simon. Great video, as always. It's incredible all the things the guys have to be thinking about--tyres, fuel, traction, etc--as they're hurtling around the track.
Really enjoy Simon's Tech Talks! Makes watching road racing much more enjoyable.
One of the best things he brings is that the team bosses all love/hate him..cuz if theres a question a team manager doesnât want to hear, you know simon is gonna ask it straight out. đ
Simon , Tech Talk is like gold!! Amazing video. Greetings from Brazil..
Simon starts this season the same way he finished the last one, at the top. Very interesting and well explained.
Good to see him back.đ
I love these tech Talks. Simon does a great job. Put more on please Moto GP.
Really enjoy ur work mate, enjoy listening to your commentaries and interviews, great video
this understated gentleman is the simon crafar that beat mick doohan and won with a 10 second gap , what a legend , proudest day to be a kiwi
Fantastic insight. Simon manages to explain the really technical aspects of the technology, and express it in a way so less technological people like myself can understand. Great job. Keep up the good work! đđ
As usual Simon you are great, love your explanations with so much passion combined with experience ! đ
great info Simon, but you forgot to mention map 4.. you know, the map that slows the bike down until another Ducati overtakes it.
hahaha

I respect Simon, I'm repeating myself.
Simon is such a great guy!!! Best man for Tech Talks!!

Awesome video! Thanks a lot x
As always, phenomenal work Simon! Would love to hear more about how race bikes are started since they don't have their own starter, and how the batteries in these bikes are kept topped off
As usual, informative and fun!

Please do a Tech Talk on the track limit sensors. Where they're placed, how they're triggered, are they adjustable for sensitivity, etc...? Should broadcast it at one of the races too!!
Tasty ! The buttons on the left-hand side look like M&Ms ! LOL
Fantastic stuff Simon! Technical stuff made simple.đđŒ Only a few days ago I watched that brilliant qualifying lap of Mick Doohan, kicking your âAssenâ in Assen!đ€Ł Do you still have nightmares?đ€ Cheers from across the Tasman!đŠđș Love your work! đđŒ
Simon crafar is the best and I always look forward to more đŻ
Outstanding!
Fantastic đ
Thanks for that, Simon
Thanks Simon đ
Nice one. You didn't tell us at what point the squat system for launch, reverts to datum height? This years bikes are stunning. Well done Moto GP.
The grunts conveyed more than than the words
Aprilia need some trophy
Simon is LEGEND!
love đ aprilia
The tech talks are back!!!!
This is so much better than the rubbish on F1 cars. Here we have Simon who was a top class rider, who is passionate about bikes, and who explains things in terms that even a non-rider would understand. And he gives us examples of what is happening as you ride it flat out on the track. I just learned that these bikes are unbelievably technical and far beyond a road bike, but I also learned very specific things. Simon's commentary at each race is also excellent. Please don't add an idiotic Martin Brundle pit walk and just do what you do.
Tech Simon is the best!
I'd love to see this same content with the Yamaha, Ducati and Honda teams. I'd love to see their setup.
Love it!!!!
Good info Simon.đđđđ
Nice video good job
The Best aprilia RSGP 2021 power fuul
@1:30 I finally confirmed MotoGPs gear/shift pattern and that it requires a leverl to be actuated to get into neutral. Thanks for englightening me about this once and for all
IT's really a F-1 two wheel ,Thanks mate !!
Awesome video!! Ducati better watch out.. 4 aprilias on the lineup next year!
Lots of interesting tech, and we'll delivered (Simon)!
I disagree with having GPS-based changes, which adjust settings according to each corner.
Wowww so cool thats why i like moto gp,motor yang sempurna
Interesting video, greetings
I love Simon
Assalomu Alaykum varaxmatullohu vabarakatuhu tushunchangiz uchun raxmat foudali boldi.koproq shunaqa video qoysangiz
Wow, never knew these bikes were so advanced in the way that the rider can on the fly change things.
YEAHHHHHHH HE'S BACK
But what about the clutchkess shifting. Could you give more detail on GP shifting vs Moto2 vs 3 vs Superbike vs street and so on. Especially down shifting from higher gears to lower gears. When did they stop grabbing the clutch and blipping the throttle???
I thought most engine braking was from the vacuum pulled , i would like a clearer understanding how the exhaust butterfly's effect engine braking . Great post ty
