If that is a screenshot of the Jewler’s Monarch of Deflecting that was sold for $1000, there is another reason for its price tag. If you look at the durability, the JMoD in the screenshot has 172, while a normal Monarch only has 86. This means that not only did this user find a JMoD, but the JMoD’s base was a failed Set item. Failed Set items translate to Magic items with double durability for those unaware.

Played for years and years and never knew this...
You can also get triple durability on items if they fail another roll for unique.

Important to note WHEN the items sell on D2JSP, and compare to what Ber runes were going for at the same time.
3x pairs of 6/40s have been sold on jsp, first sale was like 60k second sale was 40kish 3rd sale was around 35kish. Sold in December-early January. At least that’s what I’ve seen.
400pd sc sold for 15k only seen one sell late December.
First 6-40 was sold on Jsp a couple of months ago, the bids stopped around 50k.
The item owner got a pm from one of the persons biding with a $$ offer, since the owner said it was sold for $$ and the buyer confirmed the trade, and paide a bonus to the person who told him one of the items he was looking for was for trade. I thought the would get banned for the real money trade, but they didn't

@@Roadrunner_KZSK Real money trade is illegal on jsp. You risk to get banned or gold locket for ever and a day, if you trade vs real money. It's the rule, without it blizzard can get jsp shut down permanent
@@dsix5374 god forbid the player makes a few bucks by selling their gear :D selling items for real money is only bad when players sell to another players what they found, suddenly its not a problem when the game creator can sell endless suply of items in game.

Although i knew these items were valuable, its great to hear their actual value broken down to understandable numbers where possible.
This actually isn't even their true value either. Most of these can go for much higher do to the rarity. Heck if you were to just straight up buy it it will cost several hundred to thousands of dollars.

The itemization in D2 is so amazing, it looks pretty straight forward but it has so much depth.
Little things really make this game, not sure if it still works but we use to put Ruby in a bow for PvP it had a short stun effect. So perfect for a level 30 bowazon low level dueling
But this is totally endangered by the plans of new runewords.

Right! They should add more mods to them. How much mods what max right now? I say put in a really low chance for them to spawn with 5 mods on top of their maximum and we will have classic D2 where those items was at the top and you keep finding diff combinations. Runewords would be for noobs 😁
This reminds me of classic so much. Rares were god tier. I still remember the duped rune bows, lances and swords!

When Ber Runes were running for around 1,600/e, I rolled a +1 PnB +45 life GC and sold it for 6,500fg. My biggest d2jsp trade ever.

So in Diablo 2, in 2001. I had a zon with an inventory completely full of 451 pois small charms. It was either 1.08 or 1.09. Guided arrow was still broken.
I could step out of town fire 2 multishots and clear the pvp field.
Against guardian angel pallies a guided shot would still 1 shot them because it would penetrate multiple times, and the poison would drop them to 1 life before the final hit pierced.
Before rust storm (Expansion patch) I had collected a heap of dual leech rings. After the patch they no longer dropped. I had several perfect 5/5 and at least 20 4/5, 3/5 and 4/4's. 12 months into the expansion I was able to make some great trades.

5/5 DL rings are actually pretty low, I sold a 9/8 DL ring and all the other mods were crap and I still got VEX+GUL. I find DL rings in d2r often actually

I have personally seen a set of +6/40% javelins sell for 120,000.00fg and Ber's were going for around 4,000.00 at the time.
also another wild one I had seen was a +2 / 20fcr/30frw/19dex 2os circlet IIRC sell for like 200,000.00fg
these were all in season 1 D2R.
Don't forget to mention the rare ethereal items with self-rep stat. Some can be extremely worthy, much more than a jeweller's monarch. Weapons as well as armors. Additionally, some low level armors and weapons are crazy worthy, because low level duellers searching for perfect items.
Years ago I dropped an ancient armor 2sock lvl 18requirement 60life with faster hit recovery. I got a Tyraels armor for it ingame. Later I found d2jsp and got told it would have been worth much more. Like 10 Tyraels+.
D2 offers a lot of pro knowledge that can make you rich with luck.
I had pretty much fun doing gem business in D2R last season. I bought a mix of gems from different sources regularly to use the non-amethysts to reroll, and resell the amethysts in huge bundles. I sold the Pames for really high prices. I charged 7.5 FG per gem per 100 and I remember that one guy said '' Bin is out of this world, you funny guy'' In the same minute somebody else binned my lot. That was a funny thread.
I used thousands of gems to reroll but never got an OG item
I would most definitely add in a necro wand that can be shopped/found. I had one back in lod. Venomous wand of the magus with 3pnb/3spear/3spirit/x revive/2os/20fcr. Like a sexier white wand
Found a ring quite similar to that one cooley shows. Mine has "only" 13 str and I guess 60 mana but also 10fct, 40l and 11@. Pretty sure it is my best items I've ever found and will always be the best one 😊
Btw. I think 6/40s are the most valueable items. Maybe followed by some 6/40 trapsin GTs. Think a jmod will be third placed. But yeah all of them are so incredible an I'm still hoping to find one of these

Hey. Fun fact: grand charms from terror zones, if you are high enough of a level, can roll 45 life skillers as well, either natively or by rerolling them

Don’t forget about the lovely and incredibly rare 2/40/3ds/3LS trap claw. I was crazy and gambled a 2/40/2/3 from gheeds like 2 weeks ago. Trying my luck again so I can get away from the spirit hoto meta. Great vid phil!

I think as long as you can put a pricetag on it, its fine. Since the stats can vary so much, my first thought of expensive items would be rare circlets/rare rings and crafted rings/amulets. Some of those, especially some 10/10 in the trophy thread, you cannot even put a price on. when i think of an item that might has the highest value, IF you would force a pricetag on it, it defo would be something like a bugged tal armor from back in the day. shit was nuts.

Note that not only JMOD is amazing but also pally shields of Deflecting like JSTOD, and like he said the worst part about this is that most of them probably jsut stay on the ground lol
+3 combat skills pala, 20 fcr with +3 bh and +3 concentration is a quite nice scepter as well.
Scepters are max 10fcr, coorect me if im wrong.
@@maegeaR yes its 10max. If im correct 20fcr was only possible in classic and got changed to 10fcr max (dont know when this was though)
I believe a really good or one of the best blessed hammer scepter would be a magic one with 2pala/10fcr/3bh/3conc/2sockets. Had a 2pala/10fcr/3bh/2conc/1socket back in the old days, but it is not really worth it to go for that kind of scepter cause u somehow need to get that fcr from other gear.
The Problem with this is that u need the fcr from some other places. 35fcr spirit/20fcr circlet/20fcr amulet/ arachs/ trang or mage are necessary for the 125fcr and then the benefit of +5bh +5conc wouldnt even be that sgnificant, cause it would be +2conc in the end. Loosing zakarum hurts much.
But i guess you just like the dream of the biggest damage number. Then ofc +5scepter/zaka/20fcr circ/5+ fcr amu would be the best.
Iirc 2pala is way better than 3combat. 2+ in conc should outweigh the +1 in bh u get from +3 to combat skills.

I used to buy "Jeweler's XXX of XXX" in Hell difficulty pretty regularly, but back in 1.09, Iwasn't able to find anyone that really wanted them, or just wanted to trade some BS for them. They just sat on mules until I stopped playing and they disappeared.
Early on in the season I found all the socket bases have decent value. Plain white monarch and paladin shields with 40+ all res, eth polearms, matriarchal bows with +3 skills. Low strength requirement armors with 500+ defence, white phase blades. Trade them all for piles of gems and mid runes, then trade those up in value for the high runes. I find it is the most consistent way to get powerful if you are not lucky enough to find the gg rares and uniques. Every time I do find a gg rare item in the game I end up never trading it cause I felt like I would just get ripped off for not knowing the real value lol.
3 weeks ago I sold assassin rare greater claw +2 Assassin
+3 Lightening Sentry +40% IAS for 4500 FG which is 9-10 ber runes. A guy sold the same one, but with better base - greater TALON for 25000 FG which is ~30 ber runes. So later in the ladder these 2 to assasin 3 to lightening sentry + IAS mod assassin claws are very valuable!

I found the 4s 99live magic armor and no one but this amor!!! The last offer me was 150fg, in D2 non resurected.
07:40 I played an MMROG which was pay to win where you could buy a currency called Dragon Balls to socket and enchant gear. People would spend tens of thousands of dollars to gear up and create powerful guilds so they can battle in guild wars and be on the ranking boards.
I like how they improved runes drops over the years . They were almost impossible to find when the game first came out ...
handy to be an old school d2 player to know what items are worth huge amounts.. new players being introduced to the game after resurrection def need this video! Found a perfect eth toothrow before resurrection came out then stopped playing for several months to find my accounts expired.. lost the last of my 08 items with those accounts was a sad day but 100% my fault
got no idea either which item worth anything. lol
I found a rare balrog blade that sold for 18k fgs once i think that was the most expensive item I have found.
I also had a bunch of bugged belt and bugged tal armor and 08 items but all those are gone since my old d2 accs got deleted..........
I once traded top notch full sorc outfit of gear (shako, occy, almost p war travs, etc.) for a single 4 os vortex shield. A few weeks later, someone had the same 4 os vortex shield, I traded him for one of my r frosts. He had no idea the value, hah.
I think I’d add +3 traps, +3 LS assassin claws to that list also. Surprisingly valuable for a magic item.

I saw one +6 Javelin on Discord earlier this year. the owner was willing to sell and stated the best offer so far was 60 Bers.

Talk to Anya, check her armor. Go in portal, exit portal, talk to Anya. Repeat until you find your Whale/Squid Jewelers. I've found 2 Squid and 1 Whale using this technique, the 80 life 3os "squid" armor sold for a pretty penny because of LLD.
I sold a 2 sin 40 ias 299%ed Fools mod 3ls 3mb eth rep 2os gt for 26k fg on jsp. I think you get 9k for 300$ so that's around a 1000$ worth of fg pretty much. This was in old d2 back in like 2012 tho. The most I ever made off an item was on poe and I sold a shield that I did a mirror service with for awhile for 60k fg. It was the best es shield ever crafted back before they nerfed es really bad. That was also along time ago.

I found a jewelers dusk shroud of the whale early in resurrected.. Knew it was gonna increase in value over time but i traded it for a ber rune just to get my enigma.. O.o

I found a low-level version of a small charm with both affixes rolling poison damage. But in total was only like 120 damage. Good for the level 20-ish I was, but ultimately not valuable.
For whatever it's worth i saw a 6/40 on jsp about 2 months ago and it had offers exceeding 30k fg on it and idk if it sold or not.

yea id probably argue perfect eth tomb reavers is up there as most valuable item.
There is no known instance of perfect eth tomb reaver in 20 years of d2jsp. It is that rare :)
I'm pretty sure i have a 50 mf blue amulet (less my buddy has it now), also ran across the jewelers but i sold it or dropped it not knowing any better, found it near launch of d2r.

I found a 313 poison sc a couple of months ago. I decided to keep it because I didn't get any offers I couldn't refuse
5 socket staff with 3 es 3 chilling 3 ts is multiple hr item as well, people use em for CTA on sorc.
White claws with proper staff mods can be expensive as well. I sold 3 wof, 1df, 2 mb feral for 3k fg.
This is just theorycrafting but let's assume holy shield can still spawn in scepters. 3 conviction 3 holy shield scepter would be insanely expensive, more than jmod easily, probably more than 6/40 javelins as well

I bought two ber runes a month ago for 420 fg, so the prices must have fluctuated a lot.
i charsid 85hp 4socket wire fleece, thought that withotu 95+ it wont be useful, but well, I myself found an use for it a week later...
Sold a perfect ravenfrost for a ber. Look out for those perfect endgame uniques!

Druid pelts can be INSANE. LONG LONG ago I had a blue pelt with 2os and life with I think 5 to one main skill. I sold it for like 4500 FG. At that time a HR jah or ber were 120 130fg each. lol... I had a FULL BAY of pcombs with 45 life. I had 8x 20 life 5 res scs too... MY LLD stuff was my best stuff. SADLY all was lost long ago.. I had some LLD stuff worth one of a kind prices...
There's an open offer of 200k fg for a perfect eth tomb reaver. Never been one found, at lest that's been traded. There would likely be higher offers if one was found in d2r.
i recently got so lucky,, i bought a 15 base great bow and rolled a faith for my merc, got 13/1 T.T
so i sold that and tried again and spent the rest of my wealth on a 15/1 4s great bow and bought a jah and rolled a 15/2 !!!! im so happy xD

In the first month of D2R dropping a 451 poison SC had current bids of between 45k-75k fg on Jsp. Only one I’ve ever seen
I have a Jeweler Armor with 24 FHR. I think it's an Ancient armor. I still haven't found a Jeweler Whale yet.

I actually rolled jmod in cube. And I was quite lucky to spend only ~1000gems.
I sold a 451 small charm for 3k fg, was on november. Btw it was a reroll of a baal small charm.
After many hundred hours played in HC I finally made my first Grief. It rolled with almost perfect stats. I told my friend I’d never play without him anymore so he’d always be able to loot my corpse in case I die. He left the game and I just wanted to go take some waypoints in act 1 hell. I WPd from a5 to a1 dark woods - and for the first time ever my character died during the awfully long loading screen. I got suspicious when it took so long and even more so when the controller started to shake. When I spawned in my character was dead and a group of yeti were surrounding him. Do you realize just how unlucky that is? It honestly makes me feel like there’s a cosmic dictator out to fuck up my life.

That is why POE has a 30 second immunity when you port in and have made no actions on your keyboard. Soon as you press any key immunity goes away. Diablo is completely out of date when it comes to QOL changes. Although, it seems the devs are slowly adding these changes in so that is something to look forward to.

I got a poor man's maras that's 30 All resists and 20 damage reduction, no idea if it's worth but it helps lots of my builds survive.
Eth rare 2os 40/fools/soldiers phaseblade. Pretty sure I saw one sell for about 6k fg almost 10 years ago now. Back then it was like 90fg for a high rune…

It's crazy to think that most of these items (6/40 javelin, jeweler armors/shields, etc..) probably stayed on the ground and disappeared because no one picked them up.
Unlikely considering how prefixes and suffixes work and the need to be exceptional or better to achieve the 6/40.

451 over 12 poison scs have been around in Legacy D2 as well. People duped the crap out of them and would run around with inventories full of them. A pvp sin I met many years ago on US East had 18K poison damage over 12 seconds because his entire inventory was filled with them, which buffed his Venom like crazy lol

Yea, cruels. I had a mld matriarchal 4/40/411% ed eth self replenish with increased stack size back in the day that costed an arm and a leg.
You dont need fools on javelines since you have plenty attack rating.
