That's cool you went with the belt driven definitely it'll last longer

The only thing I would recommend is to run the engine for 3 hrs on idle before assembling it to break it in. At least it was that way for my 13hp build.

  • @G5Hohn
    @G5Hohn Před rokem +2

That pipe nipple you used to connect the unloader to the pump will see full outlet pressure all the time, plus the vibration and the weight of the unloader. I would strongly recommend you consider making sure that is a heavy duty part, like a stainless Sch80 part. They are $13 from McMaster.

I got the parts list from Russ. 1,544.08 is what he gave me for all the parts on the list. Is that what you got? Did you get everything on the list? How much did you get the predator 670 for? I know they're currently back at 999 but last week Google came up with a link to HF website with a couple code and had them at 855 I think.

I just ordered that same pump, it's 7gpm/3600psi but can go up to 8gpm with a bigger engine, but I mean, it Maxes out at 8gpm. It's a 2-gunner and/or gun/surface cleaner.
And it comes right handed from Italy but when it comes to the US, they switch some to left. So the machine is ambidextrous 😂😂

    Hi,
Hey just wanted to say "Thank You" for the is video. You explained how to install and take off the belts on these types of pressure washers. I couldn't find a good video on how to install or change belts. Didn't know about the bolt under the pump to add and release the tension on the pulley.
Just to make sure. So basically can i just release the bolt then change the belt without taking off the pulley? Or do i still need to take off the pulley first, then loosen the tension? Let me know if that correct.
    Again, THANK YOU!
    Michael C - (WA)

Just got my stuff from Russ. Geez that water pump is huge, weighs like 60 or 70 lb, I wear a size 16 shoe and it's about the length of my foot. The water pump and the unloader are a lot bigger than what they seem on CZcams or websites. I got the GP YU21405 unloader. Everything else looks about what it appear size-wise.

In other words. 3500x8 =28000. ...... 28000/1460? =19.17 The 19.17 is what you need for HP using electric motor..Check documents for pump rpm .. but for gas power you multiply the electric horsepower x 1.5 to get the horsepower needed for gas engine..... in your case it’s 28.76 hp....

@@Oleynspressurewashing Thanks for the vid!! Back in early 90's I had 2 honda 13 hp machines, one with a 4 gpm and one with an 8 gpm, both Cat pumps. Yes, 8 gpm on 13 hp honda motor. A rolling outfit in kent, WA sold these 8 gpm machines as roof cleaners. The rinse power was great, little softer wash for cedar roof.
I washed similar age roofs side by side with each machine. I used both of them for years. The 4 gpm got about 3500 psi, ran for 2 1/2 hours one tank. The 8 gpm machine got about 1800 psi and ran for 1 1/2 hours same size gas tank. My friend had 2 machines, 18 hp hondas with 8 gpm pump, and that 18 hp was just way better than my 13 hp 8gpm, but my machine worked great for many years, no complaints, when washing roofs or houses of dark cedar or moss etc, (1800 psi not enough for serious peeling/cleaning). I can tell you, 22 hp on 8gmp is way more than enough hp imo

Atomic935 don’t mess with the belt drive stuff, go to Envirospec and get a gear reducer ! I had belt driven units when I first started then sold that trailer and built a new one with gear reduced units and I will never look back! So much easier and safer , never have to worry about belt tension and if you have a problem with the engine you don’t have to fight getting the pulleys off and fighting the belt guard, space saving too

Dude... that motor is not near enough HP to run that pump at those specs... you need at a minimum 29hp

I don't know about that 1 I'm pushing close to 10 gallons per minute I've been using it for 6 months flawlessly so I don't know where you get your information but it's working out great for me.

This pump requires 1,750 RPM for 8.8 GPM. At the engine's maximum torque, it's at 2,500 RPM. It's more than enough. I know guys running this same pump on small Honda gx390's and they get around 5.6 GPM. This pump says it pushes a max of 8.8 GPM but going even higher, with the right parts, seems achievable.

@@Oleynspressurewashing @Oleyn's Pressure Washing Thanks for the vid!! Back in early 90's I had 2 honda 13 hp machines, one with a 4 gpm and one with an 8 gpm, both big Cat pumps rated same pressure. Yes, 8 gpm on 13 hp honda motor. A rolling outfit in kent, WA sold these 8 gpm machines as roof cleaners. The rinse power was great, little softer wash for cedar roof.
I washed similar age roofs side by side with each machine. The dark and green cedar shakes both got 100 percent clean, one was a little lighter shade than other, but the 13 hp 8gpm would take any day over the 13hp4gpm for this purpose. (not for serious peeling/stripping power, but for washing cedar roofs or washing houses) I used both of them for years. The 4 gpm got about 3500 psi, ran for 2 1/2 hours one tank. The 8 gpm machine got about 1800 psi and ran for 1 1/2 hours same size gas tank (just lack of hp to get more psi, and worked harder, how long a tank of gas lasted was big difference). My friend had 2 machines, 18 hp hondas with 8 gpm pump, and that 18 hp was just way better than my 13 hp 8gpm, but my machine worked great for many years, no complaints, when washing roofs or houses of dark cedar or moss etc. I can tell you, 22 hp on 8gmp is way more than enough hp imo.

Put a 31hp motor on it and run max gpm. It is a monster!
