That's cool you went with the belt driven definitely it'll last longer
The only thing I would recommend is to run the engine for 3 hrs on idle before assembling it to break it in. At least it was that way for my 13hp build.
That pipe nipple you used to connect the unloader to the pump will see full outlet pressure all the time, plus the vibration and the weight of the unloader. I would strongly recommend you consider making sure that is a heavy duty part, like a stainless Sch80 part. They are $13 from McMaster.
I'm building the exact same build today!!!!! Same unit today cost me $2500 but still way cheaper than buying a prebuilt one.
What were the parts you got from Russ?
I got the parts list from Russ. 1,544.08 is what he gave me for all the parts on the list. Is that what you got? Did you get everything on the list? How much did you get the predator 670 for? I know they're currently back at 999 but last week Google came up with a link to HF website with a couple code and had them at 855 I think.
@@MannyAguilarJr That's what I got from Russ with the AR pump. Paid $999 plus tax for the predator.
@@jdgatliffwhere did you purchase your Predator from?
how has the engine been? thinking about getting one but hearing they can be headaches as well. thinking I just might get a honda and take the purchase pain for a bit.
I just ordered that same pump, it's 7gpm/3600psi but can go up to 8gpm with a bigger engine, but I mean, it Maxes out at 8gpm. It's a 2-gunner and/or gun/surface cleaner.
And it comes right handed from Italy but when it comes to the US, they switch some to left. So the machine is ambidextrous 😂😂
Hi,
Hey just wanted to say "Thank You" for the is video. You explained how to install and take off the belts on these types of pressure washers. I couldn't find a good video on how to install or change belts. Didn't know about the bolt under the pump to add and release the tension on the pulley.
Just to make sure. So basically can i just release the bolt then change the belt without taking off the pulley? Or do i still need to take off the pulley first, then loosen the tension? Let me know if that correct.
Again, THANK YOU!
Michael C - (WA)
Just got my stuff from Russ. Geez that water pump is huge, weighs like 60 or 70 lb, I wear a size 16 shoe and it's about the length of my foot. The water pump and the unloader are a lot bigger than what they seem on CZcams or websites. I got the GP YU21405 unloader. Everything else looks about what it appear size-wise.
Hey bro that's a big beast
Hey mike how did you tensioned the belt without getting the pump misaligned when I tighten down the alignment bolt on the side the belt tensions but my pump gets misaligned and pulls to one side
You should make a review and show it working now that it has a year.
I’m juss curious about the pulleys and if they are still running as good over the last 4 years ?!
These videos are good
Very hard to forgive out everything that is needed.
No parts listed on these videos.
When you go to the recommended website I can’t find a kit
Nice set up, just put together a 420cc with 4000psi 4gpm. I like your set up, where did you get pulleys, belt(size), mounting plate. I'm planning on building on like yours. Let us know how it works.
works great links are in description
can you please provide a detailed item listing of everything you purchased?
Do you have a build list for all the components to diy that build?
and. how the heck did you get the bolt in and tightened that is back side bolt of pump that is behind the shield? the bolts are totally blocked by shield, you got to bolt from bottom of skid right? but how you hold bolt on top of skid plate under pump that is behind shield? thanks!
Badass but let's see it run
How did this build run over the years?
Where did you order the belt drive kit from or did you piece it together?
on the outlet side of the unloader, I'd put a stainless steel sched 80 tee in there and attach a 5000psi liquid filled pressure gauge so you can adjust down the pressure if you like.
I'm new to the industry - I was wondering how you could adjust down the pressure if I wanted to. Do you have recommendation for where to get stainless steel sched 80 tee?
Where did you get the skid plate at?
So where did u get the skid plate and pulley’s? I’m trying to do the same thing for my next rig. Help would be great. Thank you! Love the videos. Looked through the links and the skid isn’t in there or the belt. Plz help
That's what I need to know, I am replacing my dead Honda for the Pedator. The shaft is smaller on the Predator. Googling for it is worthless.Help! Please!
Hey brother were did you get skid plate and pulleys and cover?
i wish you would make a video of you plumbing the trailer with the icb tote cause no one on youtube has done it from start to finish
How much did this cost? Considering doing the same thing
How is it running ? Have u encounter any issue? How many hour u got now?
How did the pump and motor do? Did it last? Save a boy some time and money in case it did not. Thanks
BRUHHH! Sweet, but how many times I gotta tell you to record your videos SIDEWAYS with ur phone when ur doing CZcams! Cmon now PiiiiiiMP
Haha firstbhalf was up and down then I went sideways
The only thing I worry about is there is no bearing on the output shaft. It’s a bushing. But I guess it worked out.
I wish you included the link to those pulleys and what ratio it’s at
links r in description all from Southside Southside equipment tell them I sent you
Would be able to email me a parts list on that with part numbers if possible
I just ordered the same motor and pump. Where did you get the kit for the pulleys, belt, and deck it sits on.
Never mind I see it 🤦🏻
Im looking to do a ny pressure washer build but i was going to go with the 420cc.....Hows this engine holding up for you today?
running like a champ
Who makes the belt drive mount
Can you put some links to all the parts in the description? I am very interested in this build
hey bud from russ Johnson www.pressurewasherky.us/

You have had the Predator setup for a month or so now. How do you like it? Thinking about building one myself....

Great info, thanks! I'm curious how this build stood the test of time. Is it still going strong? Any issues?
Still goin strong.. i did get another engine eventually
What engine did you get?
Just another predator 670
Do you have a parts list you can share?
in the description is where I got everything
are you going to do a video of this masterpiece in action in the near future?
Yes they are on the channel check iut out
Was it cheaper to buy it this way as opposed to buying it already assembled?
yes 4k vs 2k
Nice build. I didnt see the plate and belt guard on the website.
call them
Oleyn's Pressure Washing i got in touch and they are out of stock..
Where did you source your pulley from? I have the same pump and engine but the pulley ratios are all wrong!
i wish someone would post a real video of that type of build. I am trying to build one but stuck on the pulley stuff.
@@vincesmith5846 I ended up buying a pulley that was close to the correct size and am having a machinist bore it and fabricate the bushing. Since I started this process I have found some kits online.

I would call the company above to ensure compatibility but that should do it.
hi where did you get the pump pulley kits?

@@Oleynspressurewashing thanks, I just left the one in Miami they aren’t selling them anymore..which location did you purchase your unit
Hey I am currently doing the exact same thing u are , I have same motor and kit from Russ , worked on it for about 6 hours today and I’m having some problems could u give me ur number ? , I have some questions, thanks
everybody I talk to are saying call russ Johnson at south side equipment and he will set you up
Here is your formula you need to know.......PSI X GPM / pump rpm x 1.5= hp needed. So. In other words. 3500x8 =28000. ...... 28000/1460? =19.17 The 19.17 is what you need for HP using electric motor..Check documents for pump rpm .. but for gas power you multiply the electric horsepower x 1.5 to get the horsepower needed for gas engine..... in your case it’s 28.76 hp....
that good info brother ty. than that means gx690s aren't big enough either? both are 22 hp
Kohler makes a 28 hp
You can do all that math you want but if that’s true then clearly NONE of the Honda gx690
Motors would be big enough yet they all run them pumps good so
@@Oleynspressurewashing Thanks for the vid!! Back in early 90's I had 2 honda 13 hp machines, one with a 4 gpm and one with an 8 gpm, both Cat pumps. Yes, 8 gpm on 13 hp honda motor. A rolling outfit in kent, WA sold these 8 gpm machines as roof cleaners. The rinse power was great, little softer wash for cedar roof.
I washed similar age roofs side by side with each machine. I used both of them for years. The 4 gpm got about 3500 psi, ran for 2 1/2 hours one tank. The 8 gpm machine got about 1800 psi and ran for 1 1/2 hours same size gas tank. My friend had 2 machines, 18 hp hondas with 8 gpm pump, and that 18 hp was just way better than my 13 hp 8gpm, but my machine worked great for many years, no complaints, when washing roofs or houses of dark cedar or moss etc, (1800 psi not enough for serious peeling/cleaning). I can tell you, 22 hp on 8gmp is way more than enough hp imo

what did u coment buddy. i apologize i been super busy . what was your comment?
Hey know problem brother.. I just wanted a parts list on the pressure washer build.. if possible can you email it to me at decapressurewashing@gmail.com
@@atomic9358 email mikeoleyn@gmail.com
@@Oleynspressurewashing thank you sir
Atomic935 don’t mess with the belt drive stuff, go to Envirospec and get a gear reducer ! I had belt driven units when I first started then sold that trailer and built a new one with gear reduced units and I will never look back! So much easier and safer , never have to worry about belt tension and if you have a problem with the engine you don’t have to fight getting the pulleys off and fighting the belt guard, space saving too
Dude... that motor is not near enough HP to run that pump at those specs... you need at a minimum 29hp
I don't know about that 1 I'm pushing close to 10 gallons per minute I've been using it for 6 months flawlessly so I don't know where you get your information but it's working out great for me.
This pump requires 1,750 RPM for 8.8 GPM. At the engine's maximum torque, it's at 2,500 RPM. It's more than enough. I know guys running this same pump on small Honda gx390's and they get around 5.6 GPM. This pump says it pushes a max of 8.8 GPM but going even higher, with the right parts, seems achievable.
@@Oleynspressurewashing @Oleyn's Pressure Washing Thanks for the vid!! Back in early 90's I had 2 honda 13 hp machines, one with a 4 gpm and one with an 8 gpm, both big Cat pumps rated same pressure. Yes, 8 gpm on 13 hp honda motor. A rolling outfit in kent, WA sold these 8 gpm machines as roof cleaners. The rinse power was great, little softer wash for cedar roof.
I washed similar age roofs side by side with each machine. The dark and green cedar shakes both got 100 percent clean, one was a little lighter shade than other, but the 13 hp 8gpm would take any day over the 13hp4gpm for this purpose. (not for serious peeling/stripping power, but for washing cedar roofs or washing houses) I used both of them for years. The 4 gpm got about 3500 psi, ran for 2 1/2 hours one tank. The 8 gpm machine got about 1800 psi and ran for 1 1/2 hours same size gas tank (just lack of hp to get more psi, and worked harder, how long a tank of gas lasted was big difference). My friend had 2 machines, 18 hp hondas with 8 gpm pump, and that 18 hp was just way better than my 13 hp 8gpm, but my machine worked great for many years, no complaints, when washing roofs or houses of dark cedar or moss etc. I can tell you, 22 hp on 8gmp is way more than enough hp imo.
Put a 31hp motor on it and run max gpm. It is a monster!
