    What size are the mounting screws at 4:22? Unfortunately my box didn’t have them. I can return the lock but it may be easier to get the screws from Lowe’s.

    Video is great, however when programming I get neither a red or green light, but a white light. Not sure why this is happening and I cannot find much for troubleshooting answers. Any help is appreciated.

    Does these smart code locks hook to blue tooth where can be unlocked from phone

    Working as is should but I cant get the deadbolt to reach fully extend to the "locked" position. With the door open and activating into the locked position I can still push the deadbolt in by hand but when using the key it locks into position. All parts are free and not in a bind

      Hi Marcus - Here to help! Please try the steps below to help fix this:
      1. Ensure that the strike pocket is at least 1" deep.
      2. Replace the batteries with recommended alkaline only and not lithium or rechargeable.
      3. Perform the door rehanding per page 19 of the installation guide linked here:

      4. Test the lock with the door open, then test the lock with the door closed and make adjustments if needed.

      Hi and here to help! To add additional user codes to the SmartCode 270, please follow the same programming steps:
      1. Press the Program Button
      2. Press the 1 Button
      3. Press the Checkmark
      4. Enter the User Code
      5. Press the Checkmark
      If this is not working, please ensure to complete the Door Rehanding step on page 19: kwik.st/3SCYZ2F

    I moved and took my lock with me I’ve been trying to use my code for an hour now should I go buy a different one

    Do we have an app to control this. I downloaded the Kwikset app and it does not show the lock

      Hi - To reset the user code please follow these steps:
      1. Factory reset the lock which will delete all user codes or delete a single user code.
      2. Perform the door rehanding.
      3. Reprogram the new User Codes.

    I just installed a locked but when I press the program button there’s no sound or light (green or red).

      Hi! Please try replacing the batteries and follow these steps in order:
      A. Complete the Factory Reset.
      B. Perform the Door Rehanding per page 19 of the installation guide linked here:

      C. Program a User Code and test the lock with the door open.

    The turn piece doesn't want to say vertical. It stays at a 45 deg angle.

      Hi - During the installation, please ensure the latch is locked and the flat blade is vertical. The interior turn-piece should be rotated vertically when it's off the door to install it vertically onto the door.       1. Open the door and place the latch in the locked position.
      2. Unscrew and remove the interior assembly of the lock, ensuring the cable is securely attached and the flat blade is in the vertical position.
      3. Reattach the interior assembly with the latch still locked.
      4. Replace the batteries, Factory Reset, and perform the Door Rehanding step on page 19:

    I programmed it easy. But said I could have up to 50 codes. Have followed steps but it wont add more. Just original code works

    This thing only works when the key is in!!!! What is wrong this. Two. I had to call a locksmith because it locked and the password didn’t work!

    Thank you! But my problem is the auto locking when I shut the door doesn't work! It doesn't auto lock after 30 seconds. Can you do a video on how to program the codes please.

      I have already set my door code. When I press 8 check mark it immediately beeps. I have no opportunity to set auto lock to three minutes. How exactly do I do this. Is this step supposed to be done before creating the User code?

      Hi Cheri - Here to help! To enable the Auto-Lock feature, first Press the Programming button, the 9 button, and the checkmark. After enabling the Auto-Lock, then you can set the Auto-Lock Time Delay by pressing the Programming button, the 8 button, the checkmark, press button for time delay (button 3 for three minutes), and the checkmark.     Just bought this piece of trash and no the only thing it can't do is take codes once codes are entered it does absolutely nothing. Neither does the lock button it just lights up and does jack shit.
