- 4.9% alcohol. Brewed in Germany by Paulaner.
"This beer is credited for being one of the most popular Munich lagers. Moreover, our brewmasters were among the first to bring Munich lager beer to the Bavarian taps. The recipe for success remains: A perfect balance of malty character and the light bitterness of hops."

INGREDIENTS: Water, hops, malt
HOP VARIETES: Hallertauer Tradition
MALT VARIETES: Pilsner malt (light barley malt)
That's a good beer. I drink it pretty often. It's available here in my city. Also I love other German brands like Ayinger and Weihenstephaner. I can drink like 6 pints of Weihenstephaner original premium and not get a headache in the morning. German beers are my favorite. I've tried beers from all over the world including Russian, Czech, Belgian, British, etc. And I think Germans are the best, at least in my opinion.
In my case, I believe that the German beers just might be my favorites, too.
I agree with Dave, this beer is actually better then Pilsner Urquell. Yes, I said that! Don’t get me wrong PU is an excellent beer but this one is better. It is the most balanced beer that I’ve ever drank. I prefer this one over Paulaner Pils which is another fine beer but I like this one a bit more. The Paulaner Marzen is one of the best Oktoberfest beers I’ve ever drank. Great review guy! Prost to you both!
Thanks, Chris! Hey, you've got to call it, as you see it. Cheers, back to you!
I’m English just got back from Germany 🇩🇪 had this all the time plus the famous beer hall over their was a dream come true 😊😊😊👍👍👍🇩🇪🇩🇪
I bet it was a great trip! Thanks for watching, Ashley Smith. I appreciate it!
You're not lying. Its a 10 out of 10 and what I drink.
Thanks, NUNYA BIZ. I appreciate it!
such a great beer...used to be really hard to find here in the UK, you had to go to a specialist beer shop or a German supermarket/bar...more available now and i just saw one of our big supermarkets started stocking the 500ml bottles. again wonderful stuff and i agree that it feels like your drinking something that's good for you and healthy.
I'm glad you like it, ben brown. Well, of course, it's hard to beat Pilsner Urquell. Thanks for watching. I appreciate it!
I love some of these German lagers based upon the brewing laws. Only basic beer ingredients allowed. Who the heck wouldn't want to drink them!
I don't see how beer lovers would dislike 'em.
Bavarian helles is my single favorite beer style and would be perfectly fine if it was all I could drink
I can't disagree with that.
First 85 degree day of the year in NJ and you are so right, these sure go down easy. Cheers and thanks for the review!
Excellent, and cheers, back to you! Thanks, Monkey&man!
they sell (4 packs cans) this at Total Wine in Virginia Beach/ Norfolk and you know i love my euro lagers (and especially Pils/pilsners). I have purchased a couple times. To me (even as a euro lover) I can only give it a good and not a great or whatever. Decent beer all the way but too sweet to be anything higher, wish had a touch more hops. Our old friend Hoggie once reviewed their pilsner, gave it a "glass full" even though he was never a pilsner/lager guy but i have never seen the Paulaner Pils in the stores .... just this one and i think maybe their Hefe/ weiss offering. It;s OK/ not bad but can't call it a favorite. Even for a Helles i would rather have a Lowenbrau (which i used to love when it was sold here). Or go to the new Total Wine in your area and look for Benedikter Hell (owned by Bitburger) and i also think that one is better. I give the beer you reviewed a B - but cant go higher for the reasons i mentioned - but would never turn this down (of course)
Good comments, and you've got to call 'em as you see 'em. I'd like to try the Benedikter Hell.
Loved this beer.... Good call
Thanks, and it's so good!
It is a really great beer, nothing in the US, Mexican or non German/Czech Lager styles can compare in my opinion. I just wish I could find it or Bitburger at a comparable price a 12 pack to Pilsner Urquell. I don't know if I'd rate either above Pilsner Urquell, but it is definitely in the same balll park of quality.
Certainly in the same ballpark.
I'm heading out to purchase this today. Haven't had it in quite some time and I think it's excellent! And good job of course guys!
Thanks, Bart, and I know you'll love it!
I paid 2.99 for a single tall can. Have no idea how much a 4 pack is. Is it still sold in 6 pack bottles ? I think its good but its not something I need to revisit again and again. That would depend on the price point.
I can't argue with that line of thinking.
A lager can be a world class beer...A beer does not have to be a strong beer to be a world class beer...I think Ronald may be biased against lagers from his initial negative reaction to it being called a world class beer with a 100 score...
I'm not at all biased against lagers, but I just didn't find that it was quite up to world class level, which is hard to achieve, on my scale.
Imagine that, a actual beer and not punch/candy/fruit juice mixed with beer. Sounds good.
Right- unflavored beer. Who would have thought? Thanks for watching, Chris Meyer. I appreciate it!
I agree with David, it's a perfect beer, in my opinion.
It's a delight to drink.
Why hop extract in some beers
I don't know, exactly.
I need to try some foreign lagers. Gonna look got this at total wine and more. Cheers!!!🍻🍻🍻
I highly recommend it. Thanks for watching, TheBeerExperience360. I appreciate it!
It's the only beer that got me drinking at 23 years old. I hated beer before this one.
It's oh so delicious.
Pairs great with braunschweiger
I believe that!
You guy's are legend's! Love my Paulaner and the other German purity beer's. Loving the reviews.
Thanks, Brandon, and I appreciate your support.
@@ronaldtheriot Always Ron!
This is good. If you ever get a chance to drink Panderer Mai bock please do it is wonderful especially on draft.
That's the first I've ever heard of that bock.
@@ronaldtheriot It rarely shows up in the USA- last time it did was the early 90's.
This beer is super good cant complain
Neither, me!
I agree with Dave, you gave Mythos a 93 and the difference between this and Mythos is... 7 points 👍 great review guys!
Thanks! 👍 I appreciate you watching, Christopher Cooper!
One of the best!
Yes, I love it!
I agree with your buddy, it’s a WORLD CLASS beer!
Thanks, Blake!
Cleanest lager I've ever had.
It's a beauty. Thanks for watching, AnalogKid82. I appreciate it!
It's about $1 dollar a can in Germany when it's on sale, little more than that at a regular price.
That's a good price.
I wanna taste it
You'd love it! Thanks for watching, rock n' roll TV. I appreciate it!
Top 5 brewery in the world
I can't take issue with that. Thanks for watching, Snowman -8. I appreciate it!
Is it Germany that has the three ingredient law on beer?
Well, it's really five- water, barley malt, hops, wheat, and yeast. But, yes, Germany.
@@ronaldtheriot thought I heard about something down the line of a "purity law"? Probably explains y I don't get hungover from German Frothies
@@ronaldtheriot Originally it was only the 3 ingredients, water, malted barley, and hops. Yeast wasn't "known" or discovered until the 18th century.
@@ronaldtheriot It's three, the Reinheitsgebot was from 1516 for water, hops and wheat.
I like this beer but I think Pilsner Urquell is definitely a better and more flavorful beer.
I can't argue with that.
The Napoleonic wars was likely the worst event that shaped Europe.
Yes. Very, very bad.
I really thought you give what the "fans" request or want to see....
I do that, but I have to find the products the request, of course.
I think you were referencing Scarface. When you said you too Mel and the shot in the stomach. I believe so.
Yes, that's right.
@@ronaldtheriot You know a good movie then haha. I love that movie Ron!
