- 5.5% alcohol. Company founded in 1634. Brewed in Germany by Paulaner.
"It’s the #1 wheat beer in Germany and one of the world’s favorites. In fact, beer experts call it a masterpiece. In developing this beer, the Paulaner brewmasters have perfected a unique technique with “yeast suspension,” resulting in a uniform, slightly cloudy appearance, consistent quality, and perfect taste."

Having the third from my first ever six pack of Hefe-Weizen and I'm blown away by how easy this beer goes down. Absolutely the best wheat beer I've ever had. The flavor profile is perfectly fruity. There is a sweetness, but not in a bad way. Just a most delightful beer. I don't know how else to describe it. Will definitely be buying more of this.
I would love to see Dave's reaction to this beer. Not that i didn't appreciate your review of this beer Ronald. I just like when you and Dave do a double review. You two are great together. 😊
I just looked down the list of videos and found you and Dave doing a review of Hefe-Weizen together. I'll watch it immediately! 👍
Excellent, and I'm glad that you enjoyed this wheat ale.
I travel around the world testing beers,,,and this is one of my favorites...
It's a sure-fire winner! Thanks for watching, Victor A. I appreciate it!
That is a great beer! I love it! Looks like a nice day for a review! Love the birds chirping. How relaxing to be drinking a great beer while relaxing in the yard. Cheers! 🍺🎩
Thanks, and it really was relaxing and pleasant. Cheers, back to you!
Cheers
@@ronaldtheriot im having one right now fantastic
One of my favorite beers on a sunny day. Delicious, refreshing, and an excellent presentation.
I'm glad you enjoy it, and thanks. I appreciate you watching, latasian 0182!
same love it
Hey, Jay. Just turned seventy-forking-three!!! Can't believe it. Well, This is a Great Beer. I buy it often. Salvator is a FAV. Best dopplebock in my opinion is Weihenstephaner's Korbinian. Try that some time. Can only get it here in Sofla in half-liter bottles. About four bucks. Favorite Hefe is Franziskaner-Spaten, probably cuz it's the first one I had in NYC bout forty years ago or so. After growing up in CT in the sixties drinkin Schlitz and Schaefer and Schmidts, that Spaten Hefe was like when Dorothy lands in Oz and everything goes color. Know what I mean? Stay well!!!
73! Congratulations, a.w.! Yes, I have actually reviewed Korbinian.
i love beer reviews, such an interesting niche
I agree. Thanks for watching, katana2seppuku. I appreciate it!
Great review once again! Keep em comin, I'll always be watchin! Cheers!
Thanks, and I appreciate your support. Cheers, back to you!
I picked this one up today. Wasn't particularly looking for it but I saw it in the cooler and the date was good so I figured I should buy it. I thought it was fantastic. I like the style anyway and in the style its top notch. I probably prefer witbiers over hefeweizens but cant really complain about this one. Cheers, Jay to this fantastic beer.
It IS a fantastic beer, Chaz!
Monks got mad drunk too 🤣🤣🤣
Really? Thanks for watching, Mo Vo. I appreciate it!
Great review, thanks for the history and context. I’ve been searching for a good Hefeweizen after having one from Yazoo, but the Paulaner takes the cake.
You're welcome, and thanks for watching, The Monster Silhouettes. I appreciate it!
I went to California to visit family and I found this beer at my Safeway.
How did you like it?
This is all the only one I can get here, would love to have even the ones you named off here. We get very little variety here compared to other places.
I'm sorry to hear this. Yes, it IS an awesome beer.
My go to wheat beers are Paulaner Hefe-Weizen and Weinstephaner Hefe- Weisbeer . Love both of them.
Two great choices! Thanks for watching, Pranav Shukla. I appreciate it!
What a solid Hefeweizen this is. Good review
You're right, and thanks!
Great review Ron. I'm drinking one as i watch and i agree with your score. Can't go wrong with this one for a wheat bier...
Thanks, Coz McDebris!
We get them every year in September at Aldi...for $3.75 a pop. By Australian standards, this is a very good price.
So it's a real treat. It is an excellent Hefe-Weizen. DYNAMITE as you would say, Ronald, as is your review.
Thanks, Markofish. I appreciate you watching!
The second I tasted it, I understood what you meant by fluffy like a cotton ball haha
I'm glad you noticed that characteristic.
New subscriber here, I just picked up a 12 pack of this stuff today
Thanks for watching, Trumpetmaster77. I appreciate it!
Great historical review. Thank you!
I got gout from heavy beers. Had to stop (tears).
Trader Joe's carries this. Maybe two wheat beers a day will be OK.
Thanks, and I'm sorry that that happened to you. I appreciate you watching, Trendline Trackers. I appreciate it!
The paulaner salvator and helles are my two favorite beers from paulaner. The hefeweizen sits in my stomach like a brick.
Yeah, I couldn't drink too much of the hefe-weizen, but that's a style issue, not a quality issue. Thanks for watching, Hatchet. I appreciate it!
Great review of great beer. Enjoying an August Schell Hefeweizen at the moment (in my opinion the best American brewed Hefe and the first wheat brewed in America after Prohibition). Also a big fan of the Hacker-Pschorr and the Franziskaner Hefeweizens. Prost!🍻
Good choices. Cheers, back to you! Thanks for watching, Dan Gruhn. I appreciate it!
I keep looking for this one but have had no luck finding it in the stores in my area...
I'm sorry to hear this. I think the Paulaner USA website has a locator tool.
Drinking some Right Now.
How do you like it? Thanks for watching, Gerardo Argueta. I appreciate it!
Which one do you prefer? The Paulaner Original Munich Lager or Paulaner Hefe-Weizen?
I definitely prefer the Munich Lager, as I like lagers much more that wheat beers. Thanks for watching, KinMora24. I appreciate it!
Try Weihenstephaner Hefeweizen. It's great. Was born and raised in Austria and lived in Munich during my studies and Munich breweries have the best beer. I bought Paulaner where I live in Oklahoma.
I recorded a blind taste challenge between the two, just yesterday. That should be posted, next week. Thanks for watching, Gabriela Maar. I appreciate it!
Great Beer!!!!!🍺😎🍺😎
It sure is!
I'm pretty sure I would really like this one Ron. The best one I ever had was Vitus from Weihenstaphaner which could almost be called a double at 7.7%.
Oh, yes, Ralph. That Vitus is great!
I think for me it's a toss up between Wiehenstephaner or Hofbrau if I'm doing hefe weizen.
Two good choices.
A history lesson and Paulaner review, overall great video. Now, the only problem is trying to find some in Canada, cmon Paulaner!
I'm glad you enjoyed my video. Thanks! yeah, hope you can find it.
Don't know if you're still paying attention to it but it seems to be widely available in Canada now... at least in BC in cans.
The brand seems to very much so recommend saving the last little bit of the can and swirling it and dumping it into your poured beer.
Only noticing this one type of their beer though.
If I were a monk ...I would brew beer 🍻🍻🍻🍻....not as much as Pauliner ...😜
Ha-ha.
I wish CARLSBERG would expand their vast portfolio in the United States! Some of the Russian brews, the two Thai stouts... and more.
And Weizens are not my thing either. Too bright-tasting for me, and we bit sourish.
Yeah, I agree. I'd like to see more of those European products, but within date.
Not a big wheat beer guy but nest to Schneider Weisse this is 2nd best.
Same situation, here.
@@ronaldtheriot i love Wheat Beer its one of my favorite Beer styles im having a wheat beer right now only its Konig Ludwig
@@TheAaronChand That's a classic!
