As an avid watcher of you and Pat my heart goes out to Pat on her loss - nice to get a bit of rain John - we had a huge downpour on the east coast of Tassy at the weekend - filled them tanks back up and dampened down the dust a bit hope to get a bit more- cheers mate- Mark
Sad to hear of your loss Pat. Hope you’re ok 😢 John, you and Pat are just amazing. As retired dairy farmers I don’t miss feeding those calves at all. Glad you got some rain 😊
We had an old expression here in USA. 'Like molasses running in January.', But it's like May or June there! ha @#$#@ Croaky! Snowed 1st snow on my Birthday 11/26. And wind! Blessings to the loved and for the lost behind!❤🩹
Thanks for your support. I was watching a thing on climate forecasts from years ago and the doom and gloom forecaster said by 2012 with global warming snow would be a thing of the past. I also heard that in Australia the snow resorts in the future would not exist because of global warming. Since I was a kid 65 + years ago weather has been a problem for someone. Ha Ha John
@@farminglifeaustralia6716 Right, latest I heard is it's El Nino 'high temps more moisture' Believe it when I see it (experience it). At this time you just expect your in for it now in November. (COLD). Always enjoy your updates. Ure the only world wide mate enjoy.
Kiaora from Raglan New Zealand, found through the fence clips 👍 nice job 👏 I remember 15 -17 years ago when the grass was brown bye mid November,,,stay safe team, happy to be following along 🍻👍
I saw a couple of years ago where they had a bit of a drought in England. Probably didn't rain for a day. And the experts said its the end global warming is going to end it all. This October was the wettest since 1938 and in some areas the wettest ever recorded. I don't think we will ever work out the weather. John
Hi John and Pat. I’m so sorry to hear about Pat’s loss with family, my condolences to you and family. It’s good to see that you’ve received a little bit of rain, it gives you hope. Thanks for sharing, mate 👍🏼. Wishing you both the very best.
Thanks. The rain on the roof is a great comfort. Some people curse it when it gets to much not us. We recon we would rather be looking at it than looking for it. John
Trying times indeed. Finally getting the wet stuff here too! No substantial rain since before winter until now. 60mm last night! My missus cleaned up a big roo in her little car last week unfortunately due to the lack of pick around for them.
Great to see you got a bit of rain! Hope there is some more decent falls for you over the next few days before it all moves offshore. We had two days of not bad rain here in the SE corner of Qld but since then it's just been overcast with a few spits here and there.
sorry for your loss Pat! Sounds like you guys have had a lot on recently! Glad you seem to be through the most crazy of it! Congrats on the rain! We've just got rain here too, which is good because it's been so dry for ages! As much as I don't like rainy days because it keeps me inside mostly, it's been really good for the gardens!
I only have to think of drought and I am not sick of being inside. Thanks for the thoughts for Pat. Our garden is doing ok, the bore we got drilled last year seems to grow good things. John
You have been through a lot, sorry for your loss. Good to see you smiling at the end of the video. Are you getting rain today, it's pouring in Brisbane.
so sorry to here of a family member passing.tell pat we are thinking of you both.it's never easy.stay strong.glad to see a bit of rain.chin up.stay safe. gary.
A bit sad for Pat there Mate. But that's 1 of the "joys" of growing old - you start going to a lot more funerals than weddings and christenings. Glad to see that you did get a bit of a sprinkle down there too. Looks like there might have been about the same on the fire ground between Herberton and Irvinbank and down Silver Valley way. Might give that poor old horse I saw standing in a paddock a week or so back with nothing but falling brown leaves to eat, a bit of hope! 👿🙄 Those humpy beasties, whether young or old, can be a real headache to get them to do anything they don't want to. But the orphans rarely starve. They'll usually follow any cow and sneak a feed.
I don't go to funerals much. Only if I know the people left behind well lately I would be doing nothing else. Seems to be a lot of people falling off the perch. That calf would have survived, he got out with the cows at home and every time their calves would drink he would get on the other side and sneak a feed. Also he had worked out how to eat grass. Grass being in short supply I didn't want to put anymore load on the cows so we decided to feed him. John
@@farminglifeaustralia6716 Yep, it's odd that the cow-cockies who put just that bit more effort into caring for their stock always seem to be doing a bit better than the slackers. 🤔😉

Sincerest sympathy to Pat .
In Ireland we had the wettest October in 60 years and in the UK the wettest since 1838 .

Pigs love water.
The only thing pigs like more than water is food. And maybe mud. John
Our molasses is also got from sugar mills or brokers.
