Looking good John. Asa of today Beef prices have bounced back which is good for the farmers. I still think that the supermarkets are making a killing on meat anyway.
Green is good! Raining here too. Not quite that much, but apparently the eastern side of the state is on flood watch at the moment! Good news at the saleyards too!
Reminds me of past days of shifting irrigation pipes. You can water till you're blue in the face to maintain a green tinge. 1 good storm and she shoots up your trouser leg! Probably to do with the nitrogen fixed in a lightning event and the release of all the nutrients left near the surface by the evaporating groundwater. Storms starting to come regular up here too. Prices will grow with the grass. My old mate's young fellah will be glad he hung on for a bit! 😉
Water seems to keep things alive. Rain grows things. Thats how it seems here. Re the cattle prices notice the general public didn't get a break on retail prices. John
Wooooo bloody hoooo John - looking good - doesn’t take long to green up again - that’s a nice drop of rain - hopefully a bit more to come- cheers from Tassy mate 👍

It really gets on my goat how the meat companies and supermarkets are ripping it into the consumers. John

We were always taught that a rainbow meant the rain was over not that time. John
Nature at its best. Can't get enough of that rain at the moment!
Thats for sure. John

G'day Cathi the country looks a treat. John
Good for you! That is a wonderful feeling, you can almost hear the earth sucking up the rain. In this area slow and steady rain is the best.
Its a big relief. A bit of follow up and the cattle should be ok. John
Great news guys. Good to see you both smiling.
We are pretty happy. John
So glad you are getting some very welcoming rain, John

Green is the colour of money. Unreal that somewhere in Australia is on flood watch with all the dry weather we have been having. John

No cowosaurus. John
Nice videos
Thanks Gerald. John
Great to see you're getting some rain.
This may be a stupid question, do you eat your own cows or do you have to get your beef from the shops?
Mostly if you want to try what your own beef tastes like out here in Kelly Country, you go over to your neighbours' for dinner! 🤔🙄😁
Only government farms have rain gauge here
All farms I have been on in Australia have rain gauges and keep rain records. John
